As a member of this community for over 30 years, I was so pleased to finally have a quality store in the area. That was until I tried to use its services.
The store was relatively empty and there were 3 employees there. One was waiting on a client, one was in the back, and unfortunately one served me. The tall man saw me enter the store but took his time to acknowledge me at the counter. When he did approach me, it was as if it was the last thing in the world he wanted to do.... or that being there was merely counting minutes and pulling a paycheck. The eyeball rolls and the lack of communication to me put me on edge. I was simply there to get shower invitations copied. I had the copy ready but thru mumblings he passed me off to the female employee..... thankfully!
She took care of my order and actually had a pleasant tone when she worked with me. As I waited on my order I sat and watched THAT FIRST EMPLOYEE. As customers entered, he did the same thing... didn't greet them at the counter merely waited for them to speak while he stared at them and mumbled. As I left the store I thought maybe he was just having a bad day. When I was showing the order to a girlfriend she asked where Id gotten them printed.... Lord I really didn't want to say but I did. Her husband then told me of his experience with that same employee. Same situation, same mumbling, same "Let me sit here and get my paycheck!"
That was a few months ago, so I needed a couple, not a thousand, but a couple of items scanned and turned into a PDF. All the way thru the parking lot I was hoping that THAT EMPLOYEE wasn't working.
No customers were in the store but as I walked in, there sat one employee with feet kicked up on the desk stretched out on the phone and UGH.... THAT EMPLOYEE at the counter. Again, no "Hello there may I help you today?' Merely a dead fish stare and an eye roll.
I explained what I needed, the employee threw the item on the copier made a copy... looked at.... it tore it up... and said it cant be done. I again said I don't need a copy I need it scanned and made into a PDF. I'm not tech savvy but after the eyeball roll.... and flippant attitude, I thought well I'll just take the documents to Fed Ex. As I reached for the document, the employee had the nerve to ask me, "Well, where did you get this?" I said," Never mind.... you don't need to know. And then I said, I don't know what it is about you but every time I've come in here you've not given me quality help!" Again, (water off a ducks back) he rolled those eyes again and turned and walked away.
