I searched on Google for a notary and UPS store was the first thing that popped up. I called the store beforehand and asked if a notary was available today. They advised they were there until close. It was a pleasure working with her on my documents.

After explaining this to the clerk, after explaining that using the po box will not be feasible, they informed me that based on paper work signed there is no refund. So after paying for a year, which is ove $200, I have no recourse. I feel that regardless, clerks need to make that clear when signing up for a po box, so that a person does not sign up for longer than they need.

There is generally mark up, even when sending somethings via USPS, however, as long as I can swing it financially I would prefer this over USPS. I had shipped a box a month ago that was exactly like the one I just shipped and there was no extra charge for a box because they didn't use one. You can tell when an employee does not like their job and does not want to be at work. The girl that waited on me seemed irritated that she kept having to take the tootsie pop out of her mouth to repeat her questions. it is just disappointing when a good business goes downhill with new management.

The prices for their services on the other hand.... I bought a Fisher Price toy as a Christmas gift for our new grandson and I bought it locally because I was afraid it might sell out. The plan was to wrap it and ship it to California. Turned out we didn't have a box that would fit so I came here to at least get a box that would fit and figured I would find out how much they would charge to pack and ship for me. The clerk actually quoted the $70+ price with a straight face as if folks do that all the time. Since my gift cost way less than that I asked him for the price of just a box that would fit and that cost me $9+. I made it back out to the car with my gift and my box in a dazed state and when I eventually could think clearly I got on my Walmart app, ordered the exact same Fisher Price toy for free delivery to my grandson in California (courtesy of my Walmart + membership) and the Fisher Price toy I have here will now be donated to Toys For Tots. So, for the price they quoted to pack and ship my one gift, I got 2 Fisher Price toys and a box I no longer need and I still had a little money left over. Sheesh.
