The store was closed, however, with no explanation on the door or any sign of life inside. My wife called the store's phone number and left a voice mail asking for a call back as to why they were closed. My wife went to the store today to ask what happened, the owner told her he decided to "do Christmas with [my] family" on Saturday instead of opening his store. My wife asked if he got her voicemail, he said something to the effect of, "Yep, heard that when I came in on Monday." Never said anything like sorry I didn't call you back or sorry I didn't leave any notice whatsoever that I'd be closed on Saturday despite two signs to the contrary. There is generally mark up, even when sending somethings via USPS, however, as long as I can swing it financially I would prefer this over USPS. Also, my local USPS has random hours with an hour and a half long closing time for lunch. Many days this is when I CAN get there and send something off. However, my package is going to a government office and they are very specific on how the address must be written or it gets returned to me. She then complained about me within earshot to the next customer! She said, "There's always that one person trying to tell you how to do your job." There's no excuse for talking about a customer to other customers. I smiled. I didn't raise my voice. I send a lot of packages at that location and she was just nasty to me. When I asked the other employee in the building if there was a manager name or business card I could have, she told me I needed to leave. Terrible, terrible customer service at this location. For another, Liz has attended me both times, and she is efficient and welcoming. Seriously was in and out both times in five minutes flat. As for what I sent out, the first was a care package with fragile items that arrived in one piece. The second a letter that will be arriving later in the week. I've no doubt everything will go swimmingly. I mean, so far everything has, and minus one incident years ago with FedEx, I've never had any issues with this chain whatsoever.
