My experience with Paul's UPS store at Anderson Road and Gunn Highway in Tampa was excellent. Had a mailbox rental there and occasionally sent mail as well and Paul was always gracious, helpful and never flustered no matter how busy he was. Lastly, when family reasons caused me to move out of Florida, in this May 2023, and I decided to close my box, Paul still offered to hold any arriving mail, and send it to me later, once I got resettled with a new address in Arizona. Paul had built up trust with me to where I was okay with giving card info over the phone, even after I had moved out of Florida. He has an 'old school' work ethic and found him to be a real class act as a businessman. I've been coming here about 6 years and have had great experiences with this UPS store. The owner / primary manager, Paul, is always super friendly. He somehow remembers almost every customer name and greets them by name when we come in. Even if it's been over a year since we last came in! Amazing. You'll see in the other reviews here that almost everyone remembered his name, Paul, which I think is testimony as to his commitment to a positive customer experience. He has a few long time employees there that do well too. Super easy to drop off Amazon packages or mail stuff. Sometimes there is a line because he has a lot of loyal long time customers but I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes except around Christmas time. Do not ever go to this UPS store. I had a package delivered to that store for pick up and was charged $5 to pick it up. Package was there less than 4 hours. I have had packages sent for pick up before at UPS and was never charged. This store will nickel and dime you. read more

I can not give Paul at this UPS any stars. My mom passed 3 days before Christmas. I was trying to shipd some funeral flowers to get them preserved. I was told by Paul to bring them in and he would help me package them. So my husband and I brought the flowers, cooler and ice packs. We packaged the flowers quickly. This was Friday, January 13, 2023. If was a overnight delivery from Tampa to Texas. And we paid $392 for a overnight delivery in which we were verbally told that it would reach the Texas destination the next day on Saturday. Upon checking the tracking we finally realized it was at the Dallas/FW Airport sitting there at 5:21 am. The company ti recieve the flowers kept in touch with me. As they were waiting fir the flowers. I left a message for Paul ascyo what was going on. However hus store was closed and no one called me back. So we had no choice but to wait until Monday to call again. First he apologized and said he would refund me. And he was doing the paperwork as we speak. Then said it would take 2 weeks to get our check in the mail. Today he calls me and said the computer shows it was to be delivered Monday, January 16th, 2023. When we asked twice Friday will if be delivered tomorrow (Saturday)? He continued to say yes it sure will. So we trusted his word that my fragile flowers would be overnighted. The company didn't receive my flowers until Monday and sat at the Dallas Airport all weekend. And today he said I can't get a refund because his computer said it was to be delivered Monday. So why did pay a overnight charge of almost $400? He knew what he was doing. He ripped us off and took advantage of us. Already losing my mother and no remorse on our overpaying for shipping. This is very poor business and I will continue to spread the word everywhere. So sad to see people run a business on others misfortune. Stay as far away and seek other shipping locations! I LOVE this location! I do a lot of drop offs and this store I learned is right on my way to work. The manager is amazing!! Seriously the nicest, most helpful and patient guy. I have dealt with a lot of UPS locations and this is the now the one I go to for everything. Between tons of Amazon returns, shredding services and getting all my mail where it needs to go quickly, Paul quickly and efficiently gets the job done. But the best part is he's NICE! On 11/09/18 I visited my local UPS store and the owner (Paul), which I had spoke to on the phone briefly before arriving, helped me with copying and fax some legal paperwork to an insurance co. I was a little scattered with all the pages I had. He helped me organize them, resized some of the documents and faxed the paperwork. I left for a few minutes while we were waiting on the fax confirmation. to visit a pet store. When I returned, Paul had my confirmation in hand. He was so helpful but most importantly he was patient. Dealt with the owner Paul, strange experience with a short tempered, power hungry guy, I made an unhappy verbal complaint bc he wouldn't release my package bc I had old address on my ID even though I had delivery slip, and info from sender, and lets be real a pretty unique name with Id. He pointed his finger in a threatening manner and told me to leave the store... obviously without my package that wasn't an option I provide plenty of information, even provided the tracking number (I believe he purposely mistyped as its 100% accurate) , delivery slip, Id, and sender information.. but at this point he was too power hungry to give me my package, it was very strange.. thankfully after getting a picture from the sender of the package , he was preoccupied with another customer and the nice lady who also works their easily gave me my package. I was going to open business mailbox their, but not with that power hungry weirdo who would probably tamper with my mail out of spite. no business from me ever again Paul.
