I was stoked to see a self-service counter for Amazon returns, but I think people are stealing shit out of it. My items have gone missing both times I used it. Both small electronic things. Amazon was cool and refunded me for the first one right away. The second thing is still in review. I think someone pocketed the $70 hard drive that I dropped into the return slot. I should've pushed it down inside the pile of stuff that was already there. Dammit. Also - those receipts UPS gives when you leave a return are not even valid tracking numbers! I'm all in favor of never having to deal with a human, but they need a proper postal drop box for the Amazon stuff. The way it is, people can just reach into that hole and snatch whatever looks good. They "lost" my package which contained thousands of dollars worth of items. I dropped off a package to be delivered . Paid them in cash. Watched them put a label on my package. Then, according to UPS, not a single employee ever scanned my package. It's as if it vanished off the face of the earth after I gave it to them. They only gave me $100 for the inconvenience. Total nightmare. Edit: As you can tell by their response to my review, they didn't even read/understand my comments. I already filed a claim and got paid $100. "You should always feel confident and secure with sending your packages through the UPS store" ???? On one of my many phone calls with this incompetent business they told me that when the drivers come to pick up packages from their store, they don't always scan the ones they are picking up. How is that ok? People come and take packages from your store, after that you have no idea which driver took it or where they took the package? Either it was stolen or the label fell off the package, but maybe they should put more than one single label on a package that's worth thousands of dollars? read more

I can not stand Gerald. I believe that's his name. I frequent this location bc it's close to my house. I order a lot from Amazon and I return a lot. He is rude until someone comes around and then he'll say have a nice day or greet me. He doesn't want to do his job. When I have several QR code's he huffs and puffs. Dude, dude isn't this your job? Horrible store! I needed to print one page and normally at UPS they let me email it to them but not this store. They asked that I login to their computer and print but it's $3.00 minimum. Gmail wanted to verify their device but never got the auth code sent to my phone. I told them I couldn't print and could please just email it to them. Nope, sorry! They refused to ship a gun scope - telling me that it was a "gun part" - they also told me that this was not a UPS corporate directive, but a franchise owner decision. I visit this store frequently for my Amazon returns. Their customer service has always been polite and helpful. Unfortunately, this time was very different. The clerk named Missy had a really bad attitude. As I talked to her in a respectful matter her attitude got worst and she kept cutting me off me giving me the same answer "well I work here and deal with Amazon returns daily so you'll just have to wait". I was trying to explain to her that my amzon return for some items hadn't been processed with Amazon so I was just trying to figure out why when I dropped off everything at the same time. She was very rude and not helpful! I guess I'll have to find another UPS store or just don't do business with her. Worst store ever!! Went there to get a printout. I was told after 20 minutes of them trying that there was something wrong with my email. Older woman with blond hair told me she should charge me minute rate for use of the computer(I never used the computer). She said she would cut me a deal and charge me $3 for nothing. Are you kidding me?? I refused and went to fed ex. They were extremely nice and surprisingly enough were able to give me the printout in 2 minutes. Cost $.069!!! If i can give them no stars i would. The interviews they conduct at the saint clair shores location are most unprofessional ever. I have had a more professional conducted interview at a car wash. If you are a veteran to this country don't even waste your time with this place. Veterans hired first yeah right just another company using this to try to gain people and traffic. I hope this place faces a money loss and they put something else in the area to make it affordable for people to ship. The box I sent was not the box I received. The box obviously broke. Instead of taking everything broken or not and put it into a bigger box, they decided what was important or not and repacked what was left into a new box, not the one I sent. Then they have absolutely no documentation as to what happened and the lady at the UPS store seemed to think it was funny. Fuckers!
