I come in my packaged are unwrapped. I was hoping I could use their tape whatever it's a business. The clerk comes up to me gives me 2 options. 1 they can wrap for it or u buy the tape. I asked how much is it to wrap. He explained $2.99, I declined and bought the tape. I wrapped my packages up along with the return label that was provided to me. A young label said we would have given you a sleeve we just needed to close the package. I said well it's a kinda too late for tht. A guy comes in scans one package. Then has a hard time scanning my second package. The clerk suggests I print another label. Here's the issue. There's more ways to get the label QR CODE, type the label in manually. Why the hell would yall charge me another $3 to print the paper out when yall watched me already buy tape wrap my items and watch me wrap my labels up! Won't be going back there again! No efforts to try and help out after standing in a human chain of ppl! Do better read more

This store now randomly charges for Amazon drop offs. When I questioned them about it, the old white gentLeman said that Amazon doesn't communicate well with their customers and that I didn't know how to package things‍. I told him that it's literally in the original packaging, packed into the original box with shipping bubbles.‍ Just a way to scam customers out of more money. Hope it was worth it. I'm done with local businesses that nickle and dime customers and don't give a good explanation why. I took the same Amazon return to a nearby ups store and they took it no trouble and didn't try to charge me extra. Avoid this location. read more

I took a ceramic teapot to this location and paid for it to be packed and shipped to Atlanta. The teapot arrived broken. I called this location on May 11 and I was told to fax them a picture of the item with the cost and that a claim would be processed. I did so on May 13 and it is now May 27 and I was told that the claim was just sent to UPS on May 26. I have made numerous calls to this location. I asked to speak with the owner, he was very rude, and told me that whatever he had to say would not appease me. He was very condescending and obnoxious. I had such a horrible experience here. The woman who works there was so abrasive and rude. I don't go to UPS often so I had a few questions about my drop off and she made me feel really stupid. She laughed in my face and walked away while I was asking a question. I was nervous about my drop off since it was for work and important. I just wanted to make sure I did it right. As I left, I told her that it is not kind to laugh in someone's face, to which she screamed "girl bye" back continually as I walked out the door. read more

The negative reviews of this store puzzle me. I thought long and hard about patronizing this location because of the negative Yelp reviews. However, it's the store in my community, and I try hard to patronize local businesses when I can. I had a number of items to ship to my daughter in Chapel Hill (Sports Memorabilia for her office at UNC where she coaches Women's Basketball). Each item was framed and of great sentimental value. After talking with them about my reservations (I told them about the Yelp reviews), I decided to go with their professional packing, which includes their Pack and Ship Guarantee. I found their Customer Service to be extremely professional. A customer service representative named Deja assisted me. Because of the number of items and expense to ship, I also spoke with the manager/owner. I think his name was "Maury." I was very satisfied with my experience. If like me, you were put off by the negative reviews, I'd suggest that you visit the store, talk with the employees, and judge for yourself. If like me, you have a positive experience, please take the time return to Yelp and write a positive review. I think they deserve it. read more

I have been to this location a few times and it seems that one of the qualifications to work here is that you have to be an A-hole... I seem to have encountered the same 3 characters on the various times that I have come here. I guess that I have come back to this location primarily because of its proximity to me and also thinking,hoping, wishing the jerks would be gone. The staff at this location are blatantly rude. Do not expect any greeting whatsoever (just a glare). Also, Expect for them to show visible signs of annoyance and to provide very abrupt answers to any inquiries that you may have. Utterly disappointed with the outrageous prices. There was some confusion with amazon and the mobile code would not work for a return. I asked the front staff what the best way to get a label would be as I just got off my shift, he non chalantly said to email it to the email listed as it's quick so I did. When it came time to pay. They charged me $3 dollars to print one piece of black and white paper! 3 dollars?!!!! I was dumbfounded and then looked at the receipt and they charged another $1.99 to tape it to the package. If they were transparent to the charges it would've been fine; but I would've literally gone to any other store to print out a copy for 10 cents and slap some tape on myself. I would avoid any print services here at all costs. read more

DO NOT USE UPS TO SHIP ANYTHING FRAGILE. THEY WILL BREAK IT AND THEN THEY WILL REFUSE TO PAY FOR IT!!! They will speciously claim that you did not pack it properly. They will never accept responsibility for their mishandling of your delicate possessions. Indeed, the man behind the counter at the store tried to warn me. The manager, Kenan Pettit, will not be helpful in getting UPS to pay the claim. Now I will be taking them to small claims court! Good thing I am an attorney and easily know how to do it! read more

I went in for a passport photo. The gentleman took the picture and I mailed my application directly from the store. I thought everything was good until I ended up getting my application returned to me from the government stating my glasses needed to be removed and I need a new photo. I thought the person taking and charging me for a photo would know what the requirements are for such photos. Not only did I waste my time and money here but I also experienced a delay in processing my passport renewal. read more

Not only are the workers nice and accommodating, but they know what they are doing and I like the fact that they send me texts when one of my oversized packages arrives. Even with the pre-paid labels I printed from Amazon, this place still charged $1 a package. The guy was rude about it too. He was the manager/owner, and when I said I would go to other locations in the future, he actually said he didn't care because he doesn't make anything off these returns. Not sure if this is new or not, never had to do this for any other UPS store, but they charge you $1.00 for packing tape. So even if you are returning an item through the mail for a full refund, they will charge you at least a dollar to ship it back to the provider even if they gave you a packing slip read more

Under NO circumstances should you go to this UPS store location. Not only are their prices inflated but when the package I sent from there was damaged and returned to them, they DISCARDED my belongings. Then they lied to me about it. Throughout my entire dealings with them they have been nothing but rude and downright hostile. Most importantly, they are only loosely affiliated with UPS. If any loss or damage occurs you must deal with this store directly and not UPS. Believe me, I wouldn't even wish that on an enemy. If I could give anti-stars I would. To be avoided at all costs!!!! As a further note, always insure for the exact value. Their bumbling, sloppy ways can really cost you. They tossed some objects that belonged to my late mother that are irreplaceable. read more

I've had a box here for over 20 years, and I never stand in line at the Post Office to send a package. At the corner of 12 Mile Road and Evergreen, near the Kroger store. Staff has been here for many years, always a good sign. Will sell your stuff on eBay by handling all the details, or just ship stuff you've sold yourself. If you rent a box, they will accept delivery for you from FEDEX, UPS, anybody. PO Boxes at the Post Office will refuse delivery from anyone except the US Postal Service. Once I tell them an address to send something to, all they need next time is my phone number to pull up the address automatically and print a shipping label. I don't have to do anything -- very handy. They also have inexpensive photocopies, Send/Receive FAX service, and some office and shipping supplies. Just a few doors down from a dollar store that has more office supplies, too. read more

I needed an important document notarized and the notary: Deja Thomas, did not perform her duties correctly. She forgot to sign the document near her notary stamp and had a real attitude about ID. She acted like I was doing her a favor by my friend having all her ID ready etc. I had to scan a copy of the doc to my attorney for a filing and he informed me that the doc would not be accepted without her signature. In the meantime I couldn't drop what I was doing and drive back to the UPS Store. I called the next day to see if Deja Thomas was working and she was off for four days. She clearly does not take her "Position" seriously and should be reprimanded. Her mistake cost me priceless time I needed to get the documents filed. I'm going all the way to top management of UPS Store with this complaint. When I confronted her with her blunder she started arguing with me and had a nasty attitude. One of the other employees agreed with me and I can assure you, her days are numbered at the Southfield-12 Mile store. read more
