In four states, over 35 years, THIS UPS store owner has created the best, very best store attention and service I have experienced. Laura Poston is in the store EVERYDAY right in the front, elbow-to-elbow with her staff all day helping customers. Rare to find these days!!!! She has owned this location for 7 years and owned earlier UPSstores in Ohio for 10 years. I was medical legal financial power of attorney the last 3 years for a solo impoverished senior woman in Minnesota requiring extensive work with federal and state regulations and forms. ( she just passed away October peacefully just 3 weeks in her new assisted living home.). My laptop became too old so I had to do all this work on my iPhone ( before they added Word Capability!). Laura SAVED me with my non sophisticated computer skills on a phone, over and over again! This was very time consuming. NO one in a UPS store nor the Post Office would take time like this with such complex computer maneuvering. Her entire staff ARE SUPER FAST, extremely knowledgeable and efficient and her line ( if there) MOVES FAST! Also zero errors. The post office this past year GREATLY increased shipping costs for medium to large boxes and I have found UPS ( esp UPS ground) to be more cost effective. PS, I use the side entrance by their neighbor Batteries Plus in and out of their good parking lot instead of Bee Ridge. read more

I'm not sure what Donna's problem was this evening, but I did not appreciate being rushed out of the store at 6:11pm because and I quote " we are closing soon". Not only was I rudely rushed thru my returns I was also refused service on by Donna to use the kiosk, even after explaining my extreme social anxiety. As I was leaving at 6:14pm Donna had locked up shop even though customers were trying to get in. I can't help but think some little kid won't get their birthday gift on time because of Donna's actions. Do better ups. read more

This is the beat ups store in Sarasota!!! Don't believe the reviews below they are from years ago with the old owner. Ever since the new owner Laura has been here service has been fantastic! The last few times I have been in this UPS store returning packages I've had a problem with Teresa. She is rude, rolls her eyes and continues to give me an attitude especially if I'm returning more than one package. It made me so uncomfortable the last time I was there when I had to bring a package back I said I'll I wait for the other employee to scan my package for return and she decided to come over to me and start an argument. This woman argued with me all the way till I got out the door, it was unbelievably unprofessional. I then called to ask who the manager was and Teresa answered the phone. She stated there is no one above her for me to speak to. So I said oh so you own the store then? She replied no there is an owner and I had to ask multiple times for her name as reluctantly gave it to me. I've called multiple times and left messages but have never received a call back. I have a feeling she's not giving the owner the message. We were going to open a business account here, but not now not after the way that I have been continuously treated poorly for no reason. read more

My UPS Store is the BEST! The Manager, Theresa Grant and the Staff are AMAZING! Always helpful..always courteous..always quick and efficient! They are my lifeline to the outside world..being elderly I cant walk and shop much anymore so online shopping keeps me independent. Really hate their hours with Covid so even tho I live right next door I usually drive to Clark. Service is fine and usually friendly or at least not rude. Overall, if you live between the two, use Clark Rd instead. read more

Paid $70 for 2nd day air and over a week later my package is not delivered. Chad won't take responsibility as "he's not UPS", UPS won't refund the money because Chad created a label too late in the day - they didn't get our package until the day it was set to arrive. I brought in a birthday gift to ship. I assumed and it was my intention, since I went to a UPS store, I was shipping the gift UPS. I purchased their packaging to ship the gift. At no time during my transaction, did the cashier, Kay, alert me that my package would be shipped USPS. She provided a UPS store receipt with the tracking number. When the 'gift' arrived, the packaging was torn apart, and the contents were missing. I went back into the store, to show them the pictures I received of the torn apart packaging, and missing contents. They said they would not guarantee anything, and I should go check with the post office. ? Terrible service. If you are going to ship people's packages USPS, tell them what you intend to do. read more

I was just in there on Oct. 20 and staff and majority of the customers were not wearing a mask. I asked why and was told it was a personal choice. This is while COVID is on the rise in Sarasota. I called to ask why and was hung up on by the manager. That's okay. Last time I ever go in there. Super spreaders. They deal with a lot of customer traffic and good place to spread the virus. We have found the staff to be friendly and accommodating of special requests (shout-out to Kay). Okay, Larry is not charm personified, but the man is a packing GENIUS, and we rely on his expertise. This is the friendliest, cleanest, and most helpful UPS store I've ever been to! I ship things regularly and always end looking for a UPS location further away, this gem is tucked in on Bee Ridge and Macintosh and due to county advertising restrictions cannot use signs on the street so they are easy to miss. I want to start off by saying I Never like to leave a bad comment about a local business. I prefer just not to go back. We are in tough times right now and last night was the night before quarantine. I needed to get my parents birthday/anniversary gift out before shutdown. I knew the store was closing at 6:00pm and I rushed to get there on time. The open sign was on, gates were open and there were customers in the store. I walked in and they said sorry we are closed. I asked if I could get my package out quickly and the gentleman behind the counter said no no and continued working with his customer. I asked nicely once more and got the same response. The two customers in the store were noticeably embarrassed. I thanked him and left. I help everyone I can. Especially in a crisis. I was asking for maybe 2 minutes of his time. When I owned my shop I stayed late numerous times. If people take the time to go to their store they should do what they could to help. If you're closed you should at the very least turn your open sign off. BTW...after all that when I got back to my car it was 6:01pm. read more
