I have used this store several times for Amazon returns, and my experiences have been a mixed bag depending on staff moods and busy level. However, today was not a good day UPS Store (2/4/24). I'm here to suggest that management talk to staff about customer service. Today I returned a book purchased from Amazon. It's topic was Witchcraft. I was asked if I practice black magic. I was also then asked if I practice anything out of the book. His comments sounded like disbelief that he was seeing such a book; snarky; and judgmental as he perused the book during my return. His manner, tone, and questions were unprofessional and inappropriate - and frankly my purchase was none of his business. I left feeling uncomfortable and judged. The more I thought about it, the more it bothered me. I thought about going back to speak directly and privately with management, but I was too far down the road to return once I decided something needed to be said. I did try to call, but I couldn't connect to a manager. However considering the multiple, mixed customer service experiences I've had from multiple visits, I'm using Yelp. For today, I don't know the young man's name. However, he was on the shorter side with short hair, if management takes interest in providing coaching to him about more appropriate customer service... which they should. It should be easy for you to figure out who took my witchcraft book as a return. I don't think he should be fired or penalized. He should be coached to do better. So I'm sharing here, unfortunately in a public forum. While I personally don't practice Wicca, guess what? I do practice and often write Yelp reviews. I did not appreciate the questions. I did not appreciate the tone in which the questions were asked. I did not appreciate the judgement implied through his questions. It was not his business. This UPS store charges $2 for them to print a pre-paid shipping label. It costs half a cent and zero for the heat print so maybe a 400% markup. I operate a business and thrive on good customer service and I think it should be provided on the principle of providing good customer service. We spent more time discussing it than it would have taken to just print the label. By the way, other locations have printed labels for me at no cost when the situation called for it. read more

Kal at this location is awesome. I bought some items at an auction. They picked them up, packed them, and shipped my items to be at a very fair price. Considering I was not there in person, I was a bit nervous about someone taking advantage. Kal called me several times, gave quotes, was not pushy, and was genuinely concerned about getting me my items in the most cost effective way, in one piece. I cannot give a high enough review. Should be 10 stars. I was on the road, traveling from Nashville to Denver when I realized that I left some very important items in my hotel room. It was a Sunday, and I was deciding whether I should turn around and waste 8 hours, or figure out a way to get things shipped home. Kal came through for me with a very good suggestion. I used to use this ups for faxing, mailing and copying. The previous owner was great. The last 2 times I was treated very rudely. I sent an email for them to print for me. I accidentally sent it 3x. The owner berated me and made me feel stupid. The next and last time I used this store, the owner was drumming his fingers on the counter very impatiently. I was having him fax for me and there was no other customer in the store. Sorry you have lost my business. You should try some or any customer service. read more

I have used this store for Amazon returns and have always been happy with the service I received. There was a situation with my phone during a return. The young man at the desk looked at my phone, pressed some buttons and I was able to process my return. He was very helpful and polite. Significantly overcharged by $80! We recently utilized the UPS Store at 12430 Tesson Ferry Road for notary services. The maximum amount allowed by the State of Missouri (confirmed by phone with the Secretary of State's office today) is $5 per notary signature. We were charged for every signature involved (mine, my husband's, two witnesses AND the notary), which is a misinterpretation of the regulations. I went back to the store today to explain the matter to the owner and asked for a partial refund. He refused, even after I told him I would be taking action through a number of routes. I also confirmed with a separate UPS Store (Watson Road) that they follow the state regulations appropriately. I would urge others to avoid using this store and patronize others who are more customer friendly. read more

Well, at first I was really excited about the service. They helped me get my packages ready to ship and do all the paperwork for me bec I was using my company credit card. The costs? Well there is another story. for 2 day air for three larger boxes it was close to $1000 to ship. Ouch. I could have packed things in a suitcase, and delivered them myself with a two night stay for that much. What got me is I went back in the next day to ship some last minute adds. Got the same manager as the day before. Told him what I needed, and he confirmed yes, they will go 2 day air and arrive Wed. GREAT! Only this time I needed to use my company's UPS account number. (Which apparently isn't as easy for them...) so he made me fill out a form for each box. He handed me the forms and I filled them out. and left. Fine so it took me an extra 10 min...its all good. Well, what i did NOT do is double check that the Manager gave me the correct form.... he did NOT. he gave me a ground form. I only caught it the next day bec i wanted to do a double check on all the tracking numbers. Our meeting's keynote speakers books (6 boxes of books she purchased for our meeting) that needed to arrive Wed for our Thurs presentation, were going to arrive on MONDAY. .... FAIL. So in the end we had to rebuy all the books and have them FedEx'd overnight. SIGH.... I am still working with corporate to try and work out a way for them to "uncharge" me. read more

I was treated abysmally at this store by Rick, the owner/operator, who apparently has a reputation for talking down to customers and treating them horribly. I didn't do myself any favours by yelling back at him, but that is beside the point of the horrible customer service (in fact, the lack thereof) I received at this store. I bought a packing tape gun at this store for $20 (only $10 at Home Depot, BTW) which turned out to be defective. When I brought it back the first time, he told me first that I could not return a product that had been opened (how would you know it's defective, then?), and then that I was just using it wrong. He tightened the wheel on the tape dispenser and sent me on my way. An hour or so later, my wife was using the tape gun to tape up a box and the wheel shattered. When I tried to bring it back today and explain what had happened, he refused to listen, accused me of breaking the tape gun intentionally (for reasons that made no sense), and threatened to call the cops if I didn't leave. Needless to say, I was livid - sure, I shouldn't have yelled back at him and cussed him out, but there was no way he was going to give me my money back regardless. The owner operator told me the prepaid shipping label I provided was just an address label, and charged about 10 dollars to place a piece of phone equipment and wires in a box with bubble wrap, about a two minute or less job, with a cost of maybe a dollar to him. From what I'm reading in these other reviews, store manager has been trained with same tactics. Megan, with the name manager on her tag literally ripped my packaging bag in an a snit over a piece of tape! Then proceeded to destroy an amazon label that I had to call and have reissued when I told her I was having a hard time trusting her with my other packages with the way she was treating me. She told me my packed looked like "they'd been opened by an animal"... then proceeds to video ME on her cell phone after ripping my bag! Corporate complaint made. I wouldn't ship from this store if you want your package delivered. read more

Got a quote of $700+ to ship 5 boxes when I had expected, based on the experience of others shipping similar size/weight, a price of around $300. I asked the owner how that was possible and was there a cheaper way to ship. Nope, that's it. Went to the post office with the same info and got a price of $205. I then went to another UPS sore and got a pice of $245. Needless to say I will never use this UPS store. read more

I have to say that i have never had an issue at this UPS store, i send returns back to amazon, sometimes i do the label myself and other times, i have had them print it from my phone, i have never had an instance where amazon never received it. I have had nothing but fantastic service from Rick at this location for years. They have always been polite and helpful. I was sending some canned goods down to a friend in Florida because they weren't available there. When I brought them in to Rick to be boxed, he informed me that I could send four more additional cans for the same charge. I was not feeling that well and informed him I wasn't up to returning to Dierbergs. He said that was no problem. If I gave him the money to purchase the cans, he would run over there and buy them for me. THAT IS ONE GOOD DEED. I really appreciated him going above and beyond. No ONE can believe what a thoughtful gesture Rick did for me. If I could give him more than five stars I would. read more
