Worst customer service ever. Needed a package overnighted to Chicago. Paid for it at 11:48am with a guaranteed delivery next day before 8am. Cost $144. Did it arrive ? Not even close. Ten hours later and the tracking says it's in NY. My label wasn't even created till 6pm in Rye and did not get to Elmsford, NY till 11:21pm. They claim the drivers must have missed the air mail pick ups. Obviously didn't miss them as it says the label was not created till 6pm on the website. It was this stores responsibility to put the car keys in a box and package it. That's what I paid for.Went in to talk to them at 2pm and they said they would call me back with an update. Did someone ? NO !! I called three times till close at 6pm and got the same old excuse. Have they reimbursed me for not coming through ? said it will take a week for the complaint to be investigated. Meanwhile the update says " The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible. So, my family have no car keys to drive their car and Ubers are mounting up. read more

The store is chaotic (as most UPS locations are) and the parking kind of a pain, but I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the staff. They go out of their way to be helpful and courteous to customers. I came in 15 minutes before closing one day with a bunch of boxes that I hadn't had a chance to label because I had been running around all day moving. They helped me carry them into the store, match up all the labels I had printed to each box, and get them on the delivery truck that day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

If you want to deal with rude customer service, this is your place to go to. Called for a simple question and the guy who picked clearly was annoyed. I then contacted the Greenwich UPS and received excellent service and got all the answers I needed in a one minute phone call. I have nothing but the highest praise for The UPS Store in Rye. In addition to great service they are the most charitable store in Rye and Larry can't do enough for the thousands of children in need we serve. Year after year The UPS Store has been a drop off center for the Children's Collective's Annual Book Drives, Coat Drives and Holiday Angels. It has made a huge difference to our organization. Not only does Larry encourage us to use his store as a collection spot he has shipped our Birthday Angel gifts, birthday gifts sent to children in foster care, free of charge which was his idea. I didn't even ask. He has also shipped clothes and sports equipment to an NGO that sent them to an orphanage in Afghanistan! UPS Clerk/Notary was unfamiliar with the legal requirements for a document to be notarized believing that she was unable to sign an out of state document. Displayed a rude response when I asked to explain. Finally understood and did notarize when explained, but not without considerable rudeness. I then asked to have a passport photo taken and was told by the same clerk that the passport photo machine was "out of ink". A company as thorough and efficient as UPS has a store that provides passport photos but can't offer the service because the machine is out of ink is unacceptable. Store is also messy, disorganized and unworthy of the UPS brand; also indicative of how this particular store is managed. I don't know if this store is a franchise or company owned, but UPS ought to take a look at this one. read more

Every employee of this UPS store #1569 in Rye, NY is so customer oriented! No matter how chaotic it gets, they keep their cool and remain kind, courteous and helpful to every customer. When I go there it's usually to return packages that I need to return to different companies that I ordered from and the majority of people in front of me are doing the same thing. It can get frustrating for everyone trying to get new boxes or outer packs to return their stuff in, then trying to find their return labels or trying to find the return label on their cell phone that can be scanned. However, the employees are so knowledgeable and so kind, that it takes the edge off of an annoying chore. I always walk out of there amazed how they are able to maintain such a positive attitude all day long dealing with all this stuff, which I'm sure is not fun for them and tests their patience, but you'd never know it watching how they treat every customer as if they truly mattered! read more

Went to this UPS store today to ship a computer monitor to the west coast. Was told by the individual there it would cost $65. ( cheapest rate ) I said I would rather take it the Post Office and he said he could look up the postal rates on his computer for USPS. He told me USPS would be $69 and would take longer to get there. I took the package to the post office in Rye and was charged $32 and would arrive two days before UPS. I tried to send a package from UPS Store. The incompetent woman working there put my return address as 22 Rye NY. When I got package back weeks later from person who got it in Rye. I complained. Manager was rude and annoyed and did not accept responsibility for their mistake. No refund. He could not have cared less. Manager was bored, irritated, not helpful. I begged him to help me and that it was urgent and he said no because he had something to do. I am in the UPS Store in Rye several times a week dropping off packages and the staff are always so fast and efficient. If there is a line, and they are helping customers purchase packaging or shipping, they will take your pre-paid boxes on the side and let you go on your way. Larry, Vinny and the other staff members are always friendly and ask if you need a receipt. So happy to have this store nearby--don't know what I'd do without it!! read more

The UPS Store in Rye has been a generous supporter of many non profits. It has offered its facility for a collection center to help those with less for years and has helped facilitate shipping. It also helped facilitate many shipments to the sons of Rye families serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. Very poor service. The man at the desk (maybe the owner?) tried to tell me that there was no way they could ship my package in time to make it to its destination by Jan 1 (this was dec 22) and told me I had to do three day shipping for $220. I refused, went to fedex, and was charged $65 with guaranteed delivery by Jan 1. I do not know if this was a failing by UPS, or by this branch. Definitely check fedex first. read more

What a jerk, guy didnt bother to even get off the phone to attend to customers. Didn't greet me and barely acknowleged my existence throughout the transaction. You could smell the booze on this guy from 10 feet away. Ever heard of customer service? Probably not. I've been here other times and the staff has been nice, didnt mind that i brought my dog in, were friendly. But whoever I dealt with today has convinced me to take my business elsewhere.
