My wife went in to the UPS store in N Myrtle Beach, our package weigh 1/2 a pound, it was 6"sq box , to ship it to W V they want $50.00 the post office charged $10.00 they claimed it was fuel surcharge no this is just ripping people off , boycott UPS don't ship with them maybe they can merge with Fed Ex and call it Fed up read more

Yesterday, I went to the UPS store at this location because I wanted to return a package. I couldn't print out the return label at home, so I asked them if they could print the label at the store. Stephanie helped me. I had the label on my cell phone, and she transferred it to their computer. It was a little bit of a project, but she did a great job. I went in to ship a rifle scope back to the retailer as I was unsatisfied with it and had received a return authorization to do so. I boxed it up in the same box I received it and took it to the UPS Store in North Myrtle Beach, SC to ship it out. I was asked WHAT was in the box - WHY? I told them it was a scope I was returning to the retailer - and was told point blank (pun not intended) that "gun parts are not allowed to be shipped via UPS". I argued that a scope is NOT a "gun part" but a optic device like a telescope. They flat out refused saying "it was not allowed". BULL**** Per the UPS WEBSITE they specify that a scope is NOT part of their restricted firearm restriction: "Firearm Products means Firearms and Firearm Parts. The term Firearm Product does not include scopes." I told them I would NEVER do business with UPS again - jerks. read more

This is not a corporate store and the owners seem to take advantage of lack of competition to charge higher prices. They tried to charge me $172 for a package that was shipped to me by another UPS store for $30. I have choices so I'll go elsewhere. read more

I do not recommend this particular store , One of the employees in this store took the contents of a package I dropped off and exchanged it with another item . A police report was filed . I recommend calling UPS directly for a pick up if you need it . This franchise cannot be trusted . read more

I went to the UPS store last week to mail my brother some items from home being that he is stationed in Korea in the Air Force. It was my first international package being sent and the UPS workers were SO helpful! They made the process so easy for me and even included a military discount! I visited this store Thursday morning around 9:30am to ship an item. The young lady working there was so busy talking on the phone with her friend right in front of me, at the cash register. She seemed nice, but made me wait a long time while she giggled talking about personal things with a friend over the phone. Making a customer wait that long is very poor and unprofessional. She needs some training on customer service and priorities while at a work place. read more

I used this ups store and I'm still perplexed!!i was double charged for shipping and when I mentioned that it was a little high she smiled and said yea it is..when I went to my car with the receipt I noticed one of my packages was doubled billed,when I went back in she said she couldn't give me a refund ,I would have to come back the next day as it was debit...no it wasn't ,I did credit and signed..see the receipt signed! When I asked for manager because she was confused as how I pushed credit and it showed debit she told me SHE was the manager. She was adamant that the only thing she could do would be to credit me the next day. She then asked if I could use a different card to credit back,I said no. If you debit me the charge then just give me cash back I'll go to the bank..with reluctance she did that .Ill never use this store again. UPS you can do better. read more

If you have an Amazon return, do NOT go to this location. It is very clear by their policies they do not want any business from Amazon customers. I had a return needing to be shipped back to Amazon. I didn't realize before I went in that I had a label to print instead of a QR code to scan meaning they would have to print the label. They wanted to charge me nearly $4 to print one sheet of paper. This is their policy. Apparently, there have been so many Amazon returns, this policy was "necessary", I'm not sure why...don't you want more business? I could understand $1 or less but any more than that is just plain GREED! The UPS Store in Conway printed my label without question and didn't try to charge me a thing. As for the people working there, they were friendly enough so I don't have any complaint about them. read more

I am telling you people that are reading this, there is no way I would ever give my business to this store. I do not know about the owners but I know they employ some of the most low down common, disrespectful, ungrateful for their job, and downright rude employees I have ever met in my whole 44 years of life. I literally was ran out after paying to use the computer because an employee needed to use it he had already told me multiple times to hurry then the lady behind the desk told me if I didn't get off she was going to double my price. Not to mention the entire time I was in there I listen to them talk using ugly language about every customer that walked out of that store including two elderly people. i went to UPS on Thursday, July 23,2020 with my thumb drive to have several photos enlarged. I should have know there was going to be a problem when Amy had difficulty understanding length vs width. Amy had no idea how to print the pictures. She said she would need to work on the photos and would call me later with what they could do, as well as the price. After four days I called the store to find out what was happening. Amy said she had discussed this with an associate on Friday and was going to get back to me. It is now Monday and I called UPS. Amy said there would be an additional setup charge for three of the photos. I asked her what would the final cost be for the photos? She was unable to tell me. I asked for my thumb drive back. I have since going to FedEx in North Myrtle Beach. They were able to do the photos for me that day. Photos exceeded my expectation. Refreshing to go to a store like FedEx that exceeds in excellent customer service in a prompt and respectful way. Thank you Pat, FedEx employee, for an excellent job!!! read more

Don't use this store!! They do not stand by their insurance policies!! My wife sent a package to Denver Colorado for Christmas. When it got to her friend it was totally destroyed. It cost $37.00 to ship it and they only gave here $15.00 back because she packed the box herself!! It would not have made any difference who packed the box it was completely destroyed!! Go figure!! We will not be using UPS in the future!! We will just use regular mail it might be slower, but at least they stand behind their services!! read more

What a rip-off! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this UPS Store for sure and others if they charge like this one. For 10 minutes work we paid almost $200 for 2 large boxes to be packed and sent ground to our home. We had asked for an estimate, but was never given anything but a final price AFTER we allowed the lady to pack it. They won t sell you the boxes and allow you to pack them inside the store and we weren t told this until after everything was inside. The 2 boxes probably weighed less than 40 pounds total. UPS Stores are franchise operations and are not part of UPS from what I was told by UPS. Pack your own boxes and call FedEx or use the post office if you re in North Myrtle Beach! 10/14/13 Learned now that UPS does not require 3 to 4 inches of packing material and it is only recommended 2 inches be provided on all sides. So the owner has told us untrue statements regarding the packing requirements and cost us a lot of extra not listening to how we wanted it packed. Got money to throw away? Use the UPS Store in North Myrtle Beach SC. Even discovered now on the receipt we were charged for packing material in the wearing apparel box and the only thing in there was a single piece of paper maybe 18 inches long by 12 inches. read more

It is so hard to believe anyone could not find these ladies the best service on the beach. I visit this location weekly for business purpose and even just to allow my daughter to put the envelopes in the mail only for the personal interaction each customer receives. It is a shame that someone could enter their store with such a sour attitude not to accept the light these women could shine on your day and I hope that ones negative experience would not detour another from what I know they strive to be their signature quality of customer service. For every bad comment there are so many who walk away so pleased not knowing that the reflection of their experience is just as important to be noted. I have been in this UPS store twice my whole life. Both times the lady refuses to give me a receipt when dropping off a pre paid package. If I dont receive a receipt then its almost as if I never dropped the package off. There is no proof that I will have that they received it from me. The first time the lady said "we don't give out receipts". LOL! okay sure. The second time I go in there the same lady said "our system is down". The time frame was about 1 year from the first visit to the second visit. I thought they had new ownership, and they might. But they have the same shady employees working there and if you're not careful they will steal your package. I called the owner Foltz about it, and all he wanted to do was yell and argue and tell me that I was calling about the wrong store. He is not a very good business man. Foltz is very unprofessional. I wish I could file charges for attempted larceny on this store. read more
