I was here Thursday 8 am and was super pressed for time. I was catching a flight at JFK and needed a paper notarized and faxed. Natalie M. was fast, efficient, and gave the best customer service with a smile to a very stressed out "me." Thank you very much for making sure this fax was delivered . My plane was delayed at JFK so I couldn't deliver the hard copy but the fax arrived quickly and my problem was solved. Thanks again! Great place!! read more

This is the worst place to pick up your packages; the employees aren't in the right state of mind to be dealing with customers. I recently went to pick up three packages, and the employee told me I had to pay $10 for each one--I told him I absolutely would not pay that and left. I am still fighting to get a refund because the employee marked them as delivered read more

Friendly and quick service. Clean, well-organized interior. Offers many services like copying, notary, sells supplies. Conveniently located. Swiftly helped with my drop-off package. read more

The UPS Store - Unopened store. - Shipping Centers Near Me - New York, New York

See all

I came here in the middle of the day to drop something off to ship. I used the workstation to login and print my label because I had no printer at home. There are 2 workstations. The place is pretty big. The staff was very nice!!! I am not sure why this place doesn't have more stars...I would come back and I live in the area. read more

I've never experienced such terrible customer service! The female cashier insisted I find my own box, even after I explained I was from out-of-state (NJ). When she finally did give me a box, it was much cheaper than she said it would be. Seems more like she didn't want to be bothered, since she was extremely rude the whole time. She also was arguing over her AirPods the entire time with her friend who was bringing her "ice cream from the Bronx", because she didn't want it to melt before it arrived. Seriously? read more

Chris is amazing he has helped me so much and taken so much stress of of my move. He is a rock start and helped guide me me on how to do things I was stressed about. And he was very patient with me being confused. Wish there was a Chris at every store not just UPS! GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!! read more

Charges 5$ to email store to print out a ups prepaid label. Horrible customer service

First, they deliver my urgently needed medication to the wrong location. Then, when I called they told me they would send somebody to handle it tomorrow. They not only messed up but they couldn't bother to fix it today? I have not received any communication documenting the fact that they delivered to the wrong place and are planning on fixing it. I will never be using them again and will be filing an official complaint. read more

I called to ask if a service was available and was told yes but only until 330. I went right away and when I arrived was told no that's not the case and that I had to leave and come back later within a very specific window. When I tried to clarify since this was contradictory information, the woman bit my head off and then yelled at me when I tried to speak again. I don't care what kind of day you're having, you don't speak to someone like that. I have never been spoken to with that kind of attitude at a store ever. I should have spoken up or spoken back but decided to leave and go somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and walk the few extra blocks to the other UPS store. read more

Pros: No wait Cons: Unhelpful. I live locally and brought in some personal shredding. I intended to use a coupon but was told the one I had for 15% off only good online. I felt I was an inconvenience to the staff member and felt embarrassed. As a senior citizen I could have used a break off the $10 charge. Next time I'll pick a different location and see if the reception is better. read more

I had to send a jacket before heading to the airport yesterday afternoon. The gentleman in charge was very efficient describing the options and expediting my shipment. Outstanding service. read more

I recently went to this store to return a package. First, the employee DID NOT HAVE A MASK ON NOR GLOVES. I kept my distance, but was still a bit concerned. EVERYONE MUST WEAR A MASK! Anyhow, I dont have access to a printer at home since I usually do all my printing at the office and was told it will be taken care of at the UPS Store. Totally not the case! I was charged over $6 to print a free label and another $8 for packing tape. Are you freaking kidding me?!?! Where is the compassion during a time like this? Not only did I risk myself going into this store in the first place, but now I'm being charged for things that are usually free?! And don't get me started on the attitude I was getting - eye rolling, sighs, etc. Never again will I go into this UPS store! If I can give negative stars for this review I absolutely would! Very convenient location behind one Penn plaza, very close to penn station- they have a notary guy, very helpful. Scanning documents might be expensive, so you can use this for shipping only. They are open on majority of the days ( specially when others are closed). read more

Nasty, entirely unhelpful employee attending the store on 7/26/2019 at 9.00am. Had an Amazon drop off (Amazon states drop off with or without box, bring shipping label and service is for free). Had the box and shipping label but the box was not taped close. All it needed was one strip of tape. The UPS employee wanted to charge me $4.00 for one strip of tape and he would absolutely not help. I left the store with my package. Entirely unreasonable and worst customer service I ever experienced at any UPS location. Also filed a complaint with Amazon about this particular store. read more

Store is in a convenient location near my apartment, but the middle aged lady behind the desk on Sunday's is terribly unpleasant and a pain to work with. She got pissed off when I asked her to explain how the charges worked, and wouldn't let me use their tape roll on my 2nd package, even though I just paid to ship another package through UPS. I would avoid this lady at all costs. read more

went to multiple locactions and don't understand how they not under investigation for package theft and over working employees..every weekend I got that have one worker for the whole shift with no breaks how is that not illegal ? read more

Absolutely miserable individuals that work here. I have been a few times due to the proximity to Penn Station but the staff has always been rude. They don't speak or acknowledge you. The person "assisting" me today mumbled something and then never repeated it when I said "excuse me?" Customer on line in front of me was so friendly and this worker never acknowledged him either and in fact dropped both of his packages on the floor. I understand they may not be paid top dollar, but do yourselves a favor and hire individuals that can work with the public. read more

I received the worst customer service I have experienced at this store. The cashier was terribly rude and unpleasant. I believe her name was Cassandra. Then, to make matters worse, when I complained this is a service business, a man behind her (named Bill) chimed in adding fuel to the fire. Too much competition - USPS is right around the corner. I will never go back. Some one needs to train these employees properly. read more

The workers seemed like they don't want to be at work. They are rude and unfriendly. There's no customer service so pass up and go to another location. read more

I came to drop off an amazon return. Front desk had a bun and glasses. Incredibly rude customer service

As of September2017:I've visited this store several times in 2017. Staff has always been very helpful with wrapping/boxing items for shipment. More importantly, without any of the you-did-it-wrong attitude I so frequently get at US Postal Services locations. Caveat is that staff can change which means that the service can change as well. Horrible customer service. Unlike other UPS Stores I was asked to buy a roll of tape to seal a package, even though the seller of the item I was returning indicated in their instructions that UPS would take care of it. Then they decided the box I brought wasn't necessary and refused to recycle it even though they had a huge pile of recycling. UPS should remove their brand from this store. There's one a few blocks north that provides these basic services for free and with much more attentive, friendlier staff. read more

I have been to this UPS store 5 times now. Every time the staff is courteous and efficient. Even when there is a line, it has never taken me more than 10 minutes to mail a package. This morning Chris helped me and he was fantastic. This place has a convenient location next to Penn Station and a great staff. read more

The people at this UPS store are just rude. I went in to drop off a package, and they 1- wouldn't print out the label 2- provide tape 3- the associate at the counter was rude I have been to many UPS stores, and they have great customer service, but this store is just bad. Since UPS is advertising that they are able to accommodate - almost anything- you would think that a label and some tape would be easy to accommodate... guess not. read more

I had to get some documents notarized and since I had to pick up train tickets at PissStench Station this was quite convenient. Notary services are available at convenient times and the service was friendly and helpful. An added bonus was walking through the throng of highly entertaining doobage smoking, alcohol imbibing, deoderant adverse crackheads who mill about in the park area in the plaza. It was the first time I passed though such a crowd without the usual spare change inquiries. read more

Absolutely, the worst shipping experience I've ever encountered. Incompetent staff, deplorable customer service, just a really shitty shitty experience. Stay far, far away from this location unless you just need to step inside to get out of the rain. Worst customer service on the planet. Wanted to charge me $700+ to ship some things. Couldn't use my corporate UPS account?, wanted me to pay $45 to measure my package, $5 to use the computer (in order to set up the shipment online, since they couldn't create a label?). WTF good is a UPS store if they can't create labels or actually ship things? Took my business around the corner to FedEx and shipped my stuff for $75 and had fantastic customer service. Please, please UPS, get your act together. read more

I went to drop off my package with no problems. It was after lunch and barely anyone was in the store. The employee even offered to seal a big envelope for me. No complaints. The location can be tricky since it is right above the ni transit penn station. read more

This is the first time I've come here and if I'm being quite honest I'll never come back to this business. As soon as I walked in around 6, the girl didn't even acknowledged me. Didn't welcome me just continued using her phone and ignored me for at least 10 minutes. When she finally took care of me. Had nothing but a very rude attitude. As if she's not getting paid to do her job. You need people that like they job not what you have working for you right now. I'll definitely won't come here anymore. Ps I'm going to corporate about the terrible service I got read more

After reading all the bad reviews, I was not looking forward to going here to have a complex SASE envelope prepared for my passport renewal after it was done incorrectly at another UPS store. Worst delivery people ever, especially in midtown area! Who ever is responsible for delivering packages to 10018 is shit at it. Twice now I have taken a day off work because the package I was expecting needs to be refrigerated immediately. First day the driver decides to not show up and deliver the next day when I am out of town and today it is 7.30pm and still no sign of a package. Keep calling ups and they keep telling me wait an extra 20 min! Extremely unacceptable and they fucking owe me $350 if the stuff is ruined now (which will be the second time) because they wait till the end of the day (past their time) to deliver it - if I even get it today! So horrible, absolutely HATE ups, will go with FedEx from now on! read more

Dropped off amazon item unpackaged and they said I have to package it, which is not true

This is the worst UPS store I have visited. They rejected a return to Amazon three times and each time I was contacting Amazon I was told They were mistaken. The last time they wanted to force me to buy a box from them. They are also tremendously insulting every time especially since I have an accent. Ultimately I went to another store that had no problem to receive my package. The employees are awful people, lazy and insulting. I know this is con inner being just out of Penn Station. But save yourself the headache and go to any other UPS store. read more
