BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!!!! This location is very convenient for me, and from reading reviews of locations near my home I feel lucky that I can access this one. I've been visiting this store for over 3 years, and usually do Amazon returns. The staff here has always been friendly, knowledgeable and quick!!! I've only ever seen them be very helpful to ppl having an issue and I've never witnessed a rude exchange between staff and customers. I realize that ppl only tend to write a review when something goes wrong (which I gather is the reason for their low rating), so I wanted to share my experiences. I'd also like to give fellow customers a piece of advice, if you leave your home bitter and sour, don't expect ppl to welcome you with flowers. I treat ppl the way I want to be treated, and everyone deserves respect regardless of where they work, and it isn't fair to judge others for actions they cannot control. This is as good as a UPS store can get. I come to this location often and have always had good experiences! Today, there was a line out the door with 10+ people in it, and both customer service agents helped the line move very quickly. I was shocked when I made it through in 5ish minutes! I went to pick up a print order which was ready for me upon arrival, and was very satisfied with the quality and efficiency of this location. Plus, their pricing is very competitive compared to other print services. Highly recommend! read more

This review is about their call in service i had to return a prepaid pkg from the va.The AI did not understand me even though i said it 3x.So i called the UPS Supervisor and got a very rude in your face lady who told me iwas calling too early it was 730 am and they open at 600am she asked my number and told me she'd call back in 30 or 40mins.So i called called back the original number and got a human being in India by saying help help.It was extremely hard to understand his accent and he wasn't using standard letters like d as in delta.i couldn't understand when he was using the letter H and kept asking him to use a different word .I have to say that he was very polite and patient.Finally i got the confirmation code.I also have to say that AI told me I'd have to pay for the pkg thats not true and the young man intially told me to use a computer to schedule a pickup.After most inactions UPS ask you to complete a survey that didnt happen but it was okay because I'd rather write out my experience here so others know what to expect.I have to say UPS which is one of the oldest delivery services and it needs to improve in the areas i outlined if it wants to keep up with the competion.i dont know how much the va paid so i can't address value.My pickup is scheduled for today btw 1100am and 300pm I'll leave it at the front desk wish me luck hope my review has been helpful. read more

This is an absolutely fascinating business case. The UPS store on Murray Street represents a billion dollar corporation yet the customer service in this store is consistently dreadful. Previous reviews have covered the condition of the store, which is disgraceful, and also the execrable temperament of the employees - do they get lessons in unpleasantness or is it a trait they screen for when hiring? However, I needed to send something this weekend and my usual UPS and FedEX store was closed so I had to visit this truly awful location and I have to say they truly outdid themselves in exhibiting a Fawlty Towers-esque level of awful service. Rather than go into details please just review the attached photo that is a sign prominently displayed in the store: NO WE DO NOT PROVIDE TAPE NOT EVEN OUT OF COURTESY. NOT ONE STRIP/STRAND..... My first experience here was the staff fighting with me that they have a "no packing" rule. Meaning, so can buy the box, bubble wrap, and tape, but I have to go pack it somewhere else and then come back to ship it. Really? F you. For some reason, I gave them a second chance. The last day to ship presents in time for Christmas... supposed to be open at 10. By 10:15 no one was there and no one answered the phone. The space really is gross, tacky, and substandard-- and so are the "workers" who inhabit it. If they had any self-respect, they would clean that pig-pen. If I could give them zero stars I would. Another reviewer posted a sign they taped on the window saying that they were closed because they were in the BATHROOM. How classy! What a work ethic! That tells you everything you need to know about these low-lives. And look at the obnoxious response that the manager wrote to that review: about how they're not robots. Really haven't had any issue with this place. Its a small store manned by 1 person typically. An extra person will cost more money, so you'll really only see 2 people when its an overlap/handover of shifts. I suppose if the business volume was super high, it would warrant more people/ they would see customers leaving b/c its too crowded but otherwise can't expect them to hire a person just to cover bathroom break periods. No i don't come here expecting free tape or supplies even if its just a piece, just like I don't go to a Candy store and ask for a free piece of gum/piece of candy. anyways i drop stuff/returns here for amazon or for the odd item or 2 that i've sold on Ebay. Highly recommended - if you like having your deliveries stolen! My experience with the store at 14 Murray Street: I ordered a laptop from Dell and initially planned to have it shipped to my home. At the last minute -- literally at around 10 p.m. on the night before the package was scheduled to be delivered -- I asked UPS to redirect the shipment to this store, which is near my workplace, where it could be safely held until I could pick it up after work. On the morning of the delivery day, I check the UPS tracking website and see that, at around 9 a.m, my laptop has been delivered to the UPS store near where I work. Great! At the end of the day I head to the UPS store and ask for my package. The employee tells me that they don't have any packages for pickup. The way she says it suggests that they have not had any packages delivered that day. I am confused and pull up the tracking information on my phone, thinking that maybe I came to the wrong place. Nope: I'm in the right place, but now the tracking website says that someone signed for my package at 5:13 p.m. I show this to the employee, and her story changes. Now there *was* a package delivered for pickup after all, and someone did sign for it. But that "someone," she suddenly remembers very clearly, had my UPS tracking number and my government-issued photo ID. I find this very interesting, because I only have two forms of government-issued photo ID (my drivers license and my passport). My license is in my wallet, and my passport is at home in my nightstand. No one other than me and the people at Dell knew I had ordered this laptop, and no one other than me and the people at UPS knew that I had asked for it to be redirected to this UPS store. So: even if someone somehow knew that I had ordered a laptop -- and even if that person got hold of my tracking number -- and even if that person forged a passable government ID with my name on it -- that person still would have somehow needed to find out that at the very last possible moment I asked UPS to redirect the package from home delivery to this specific UPS store. This seems unlikely to me. I tell the UPS employee as much. At that point I am redirected to the manager. To her credit, the manager is polite and apologetic. To her discredit, the extent of the assistance she offers is to provide me with UPS's central customer service number. I thank her for the number and explain that I will also be filing a police report. At that point, she becomes more helpful and finds the store security camera footage. She shows me some still images from the footage. The images show my package being given to someone (someone who is not me) by a store employee. According to the manager, the footage also shows the employee checking the person's ID -- but the manager declines to show me that part of the footage. Of course not -- why would you want to provide evidence of your employee following procedure? She takes my email address and promises to email me the footage. As of today, I have not received it. I try to be a nice person, and I don't want to accuse anyone of stealing when I don't have proof. So I'll let you decide which of these two scenarios is more likely to be true: Scenario 1: I was the victim of some kind of hacker who gained access to my email as well as to my UPS My Choice account (two separate, unrelated passwords). He probably couldn't have gotten the package if it had been sent to my home, which is in a locked apartment building, but luckily for him he happened to be up late and logged in to my UPS account and he noticed that I had redirected the package to a UPS store. ALSO luckily for him, this hacker happens to live close enough to me to beat me to the UPS store on the delivery date to claim my package. He managed to do all this even though he ALSO had to take the time to acquire or construct a fake government-issued ID with my name on it. So that's Scenario 1. Scenario 2: A store employee noticed an expensive laptop and arranged for a friend to come "pick it up." Both of these scenarios are possible. But while Scenario 1 involves a magical hacker who catches a lot of lucky breaks on his quixotic quest to steal a single laptop, Scenario 2 is more straightforward. Scenario 2 does not require the hacking of two separate online accounts, it does not require the constant monitoring of my email to watch for a purchase worth stealing, it does not require a fake ID, it does not require late-night monitoring of the UPS website to see if the package is redirected somewhere, and it does not require the thief coincidentally beating me to the UPS store. All Scenario 2 requires is ordinary, plain old human dishonesty. If you believe, as I do, that the simplest answer is usually the correct one, then I urge you not to give this store your business unless you are comfortable living with the possibility of your items being "lost." read more

Upon trying to enter this UPS store on Murray Street, up three steps with a heavy air cleaner in a shopping cart, I opened the door and asked if the staff could just hold the door open so I could enter. The ups employee behind the register looked at me totally incapable of helping. As a result a customer held it. As I approached this ups employee she instructed me to lift the unit over a clutter of boxes and over the front counter to hand it to her. I said the unit was very heavy and saw there was no place to put it, the scale up front had a box on it. Then she proceeded to take 2 other customers behind me with drop offs. I offered to come around the front counter to hand her the unit which needed to be boxed and returned to Amazon. She promptly came around the counter and lifted it and very deliberately slammed it down on the second scale. Then she instructed me on how to use her credit card device. My first transaction didn't work so she reached around the desk and pushed the buttons causing an error with my card. I expressed my displeasure with her rude service and she told me to use the Nassau Street UPS, which she said "wouldn't open the door or lift the unit" ( which I didn't ask her to do). Be prepared for obnoxious behavior. Goodness knows if they are competent enough to wrap and box and ship my return. Very upsetting. read more

In this day when there are so many instantaneous options for getting things where they need to be---like Venmo, scanning and emailing documents, etc.---sometimes you still need a physical delivery and you need it fast. I found myself needing to get documents from Hawaii delivered the next day to lower Manhattan. My local UPS could not help me, nor could USPS or Fedex. So I called up this store and said "Surely there must be a way to make this happen." So Dondre walked me through emailing my documents to the store and getting them printed and out for delivery on time. He and his team were quick, responsive and pleasant despite the time crunch. I got email notifications updating me on the progress of my delivery and I just got a call from the recipient so I know the delivery was actually successful. I have been alive for over 40 years and this is the best UPS experience I have ever had in my life. Dre and Alyssa were professional, kind, quick, and cute. I used damn near every service UPS has to offer - printing, scanning, notarizing, shipping -- and they did it all! They even put a coat on my label because it's snowy outside. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I'm never going to any other UPS location for real. We even talked about our mutual favorite sports athlete: Tom Brady. Everyone's waited in a long line only to be met with a bureaucratic, spiteful clerk that's miserable and wants you to feel it too. That's exactly what is going on here, at least with the girl with braids working here March 21st. It wasn't in what she said, but in what she didn't say. I spoke with her a few times but tried to keep it minimal when I saw her aggression-loaded responses. When I asked for the fax number, her glazed-over eyes pointed at the front desk, "It's on the card." With the tone and look, she just needed to add a "dummy", "now get the ___ out my face. I thought it might've just been me, maybe she didn't like my face, so when I sat back to fill out some forms and observe, she treated the next customer just as bad. The customer asked for tape twice and was ignored twice, her response was taping up the box with store tape, but with no verbal response. I get it though, I see both sides of the fence, you aren't paid to like people or even be kind, but you deal with a lot of people in a day which gives you the ability to affect their day. I stopped in to return a package, with a pre-printed label. I was mailing it back in the same packaging in which it was shipped, a soft poly-bag. Despite being the authorized shipping agent, they wouldn't accept the bag and told me I had to buy a mailer for $5. After being told this, and not believing my ears, I said "You won't ship this without me buying another envelope?" To which the extremely bored young woman behind the desk said "Mmmm-hnnnn, didn't I just say that?" To be fair to her, she did indeed just say that, and I can't believe I was so stupid as to dare ask her to confirm what she had just said. Next time I'll choose another "return option" and will walk the extra three blocks to the post office. After all, I hear exercise is good for you, and while the workers there are a bit robotic, they are consistent and seldom outright rude. read more

Had a horrible experience. The worker gave me a bad attitude. I ask for a small piece of tape, because the glue to the box I was shipping came off / wasn't sticking to the box. He said he was going to tape it so I waited to see if he will tape it, but got a attitude because I waited to see if he will do it. They expect you to know their tricky principles, or you risk paying lots of charges. 1. Never go there if you haven't packed and sealed your box in advance at home! They don't sell boxes only, but ask you to let them pick the box and pay them to pack it! The service $ is : box+packing. Not yourself. I had to turn into a nagger and the black lady made and exception to sell one to me. Then she refused to lend me the sealing tape and ask me to buy one from them $3.50. 2. Previous visit: asked for advice if I had packed my printer well. She tried to mislead me and told me to buy a new box and "packing service" from them. She said: Well, it's packed but is still in the original box and everyone on the way will know what's inside and may steal it. This explanation was ridiculous as all parcels are insured and it is UPS registered service. 3. I don't want to mention that I had to wait alone in the begging so that she will finish her coufy (coffee) and some mobile phone chat before paying attention to the first customer. read more

The staff is always professional and moves quickly and efficiently, especially during these difficult times. There is one employee, Kaye, who goes out of her way to assist me as I am a mature person and sometimes have issues. Kaye tapes, labels, and helps me in any manner necessary. I asked for a piece of tape to seal a small box - maybe 4-5 inches would be needed. I was told it's their store "policy" not to give tape but I could buy some for $5! I asked for the manager who was totally rude too. I said can you explain why other UPS stores give tape and you won't - he claimed each one is an individual franchise. So I said aren't there exceptions to policies? He wouldn't budge. Thank you to the other customer for calling them out on it and pointing to tape behind the counter!
