I only patronized this location bc its close to the post office. I have nothing to base this review on other than the fact that this store is a complete rip off. I placed a print job via email which required zero effort on my end. Love that I didn't have to speak interact with a human to get a simple print job done. I go to pick up 2 pages and the total is 3 and change. I was like excuse me? They charge a 2.50 fee to simply open the email plus a whopping 49 cents per page for black and white. I have never heard of this. I don't care if its only 2.50. Its unnecessary money grubbing and I don't appreciate being nickle and dimed. The fedex on 28th and the other one on Madison allow you to email in your print job, do not charge a fee to open the email and the black and white prints are only 17 cents a page. I live in the building this UPS is located in. I really wanted to support this location. But I can't believe this location is still open. Does UPS corporate not care for quality control? My friend and I went tonight to mail a few things. I saw they had printed out a list of prices and boxes/envelopes with the dimensions. I looked through it twice but it was very difficult to make out which envelope was which because NOTHING was labeled. There was no way to tell which item cost what. I asked the lady in front (who was on her phone and took a while to even look up) what the envelope I wanted cost. She gave me an attitude and told me it was listed on the wall. This is fine, I just looked through the list again and literally measured all the envelopes myself to get the dimensions. But more confusion came up so my friend had to ask which envelope was called what on the list. She annoyingly told us, "uh... one is softer than the other" with an eye roll. This had nothing to do with our question... Then, they gave us more attitude and told us "It's not that hard guys!". We left immediately. Please, re-train your staff members. Very bad customer service. I was returning my Amazon order (curtain rods). The girl at the front desk had such an attitude I just couldn't even believe this is how UPS treats customers. One of my boxes had one small end open and she insisted that I had to seal it myself before they could take my boxes. I didn't have tape with me at the time. she insisted that I buy their tape at the store even tho I saw there was free tape sitting on her desk. I asked if I could borrow a small piece of tape. she rudely refused saying they are not allowed to loan customers tapes. (What??!!) It didn't even stop here. If you are close to Park & E34th St, that's the the location to visit. I had ordered 2 dresses online, one did not fit at all so took it to this UPS store to return, took like 3 minutes. I had my label printed out but the guy photocopied it to a smaller size to fit on bag without any charge. I also went there yesterday to send other dress back. Was busier this time. They shoot photos for passports too i guess. Waited about 10minutes. Same guy said it is not possible to return items with regular plastic bags and I have to buy a shipping bag. Did not have cash on me so I couldn't finalize the shipment. Paid a third visit today. The bag is $ 1.83 to fit a dress in. Mornings are the best to take care of your business. read more

I took a US passport style photo here but the inner dimensions which i need to apply for green card did not match on the lottery system's photo tool. my chin remained out the line. When i went back to fix it they didn't help us much, they were like "we have same application with the system which one is same like DV Lottery system and we can't help about it! we asked for printed copy to customize it ourselves since they do not offer "custom" shoots. They were like if you want to fix it you need to pay $13 again when I already paid for an email copy the same amount ! " By the way they were not willing to help us after 3 minutes and started saying " have a good one ". My friend got photo shoot at the exact same place but see the difference on attached photos. he has his shoulders on the photo but I don't so it basically they shot mine closer to my face which means it doesn't fit on the frame. For passport, it may not be a problem but if you need the photo for immigration purposes, go somewhere else to make sure you got it correctly done. read more

I decided to go to this location because it's convenient and close to me but would I recommend? Partially. The girl with the red hair is very nice and professional. The guy that is there may not be the brightest but still professional. However the female there that's light skin with dark hair, seems to forget that she's at work. The entire time I was in the store, all you heard was her on her headphones, LAUGHING SUPER LOUD, talking about non work related things and cursing every so often. Not understanding if that is allowed, but I would keep it to a minimum if you are in a workplace. The training of staff should definitely be reevaluated. read more

The guys that work here are fantastic and always put up with me trying to mail something out when I'm frazzled/need shipping help. They're funny, kind, and easily reachable. Terrible service. They did not like how one of the corners of my box was taped. Made me buy tape for 6 inches of tape. Box was fully sealed and nothing could fall out. It was 45 lbs abs I am a woman, so I said I can go back to my office and get my tape but it's too heavy to carry again. Crystal told me to 'leave it on the street and Hope fir the best'. Terrible service. The woman who works here I've had multiple interactions with and had the pleasure of watching her interact with other people inline. I don't think i have ever encountered a less customer-focused person at any business ever. For example today (Saturday) I walked up to the store to see 2 customers waiting outside a locked door. As I approached, the woman opened the door. We walk in and she tells us its too late in the day to accept any more shipments because at 4:30 her "system won't let her print out any more shipping labels." Convenient that she had the door locked up until then. So I look at the time. Its 4:25. I (facetiously) say "is it 4:30 already?" and she responds "well on my system it is." She tells me I cannot even leave my package and must come back Monday. I ask if any others are still accepting shipments. She responds "I don't know we're franchised." OK. Not gonna win and she's not worth the fight. I pick up a slip to fill out for monday and she barks at me "I can't print any more shipping labels!" I say "I hear you. Im filling it out for Monday." I take my time, knowing its infuriating her still having someone in the store. Then walk out. This is probably the 4th time I've used this store and every experience is like this. Another time my wife and I stood at the counter for probably 2 minutes (which is a long time when you're standing there watching the 2 employees sit at their desk 7 feet away fully knowing you're there, ignoring you and playing on their phones) until they begrudgingly stood up and gave us the most annoyed service ever. Finally another time I was shipping something when she barked at me that "you can't pack a box in here...take it outside onto the sidewalk." She made me go outside of the store with my item, the box i just bought, the tape i just bought, and the packing peanuts I just bought and pack it on the manhattan sidewalk. I hate this woman. The renowned WWII General George S. Patton, once said "Do your damnedest in an ostentatious manner all the time." The lady who works at this place on Saturdays is the George S. Patton of terrible service. I don't expect these people to love their jobs or to fight with each other for the High Privilege and Distinct Honor of printing out my boring, 60-page spiral-bound document. But I also don't expect to feel like a concussed quarterback who just got sacked, wrenching himself up off the grass, fighting double vision and struggling to remember his own name, only to see the opposing linebacker running around the field, dancing the Charleston and doing John Cleese's goose-stepping Hitler impression to primal hoots of adulation from his own home crowd. Yet that's what it felt like to deal with this woman. The background: At 10:30 on a Saturday morning, I upload a document to UPS's online thingy, to pick up at the store later in the day. The website said the document wouldn't be ready until 5, which is also the time they close on Saturday. A devilish riddle, my friends. But whatever, I was not in a huge rush. Around an hour later, I got bored and decided to see if they had printed my document yet. I realized I still had 5-6 hours to go, but UPS stores are pretty dead on Saturdays, and maybe if they were as bored as I was, they would have just printed it. They have very fancy multi-function printers, and a 60-page document would take them about 2 minutes, plus 30 seconds to put the little spiral thing on. What the hell, it was worth a shot. I get in there, walk up to the counter like a human, and say "I ordered a document printed online, I know it's not supposed to be ready until 5, but I just want to see if you'd had a chance to do it." One guy, who you have probably seen before, exchanging high-fives with an audience after being told he is NOT the father, was sitting behind the counter on top of a box that probably contained an antique urn with somebody's grandmother's ashes. He just looked at me, blinked, and said "huh?" It was a pretty emphatic "huh?". Remember Conan O'Brien's impression of George W Bush? It was like that, only no parody could approach this level of genuine vapidness and confusion about why he is wearing a brown shirt in a room full of boxes and who these people are who have the audacity to keep asking him to do stuff. Then the door to the bullpen opened and out charged a raging, hulking, Assistant-Managing humanoid mutant, awakened from her slumber by an unlucky serf foolish enough to have wondered if maybe she had done something to justify her paycheck. "5 means 5! You can read? You can count to 5? Don't come back until 5!" Ah, but you see, if I come back "at 5," you will make eye contact with me, lock the door, and walk away just before I come within arm's reach of the handle. This is not my first rodeo. I am no one's clown. After tending to my soiled trousers and visiting a shrine to channel my warrior ancestors for strength and courage, I come back at 4:45. My choice of this time was three-fold. First, nobody's clock is an entire 15 minutes off. There is no way she could claim to a Regional Customer Experience Manager that she made an honest mistake closing that early. Second, even if she ate Regional Customer Experience Managers for breakfast, she wants that 1/4 of an hour on her paycheck, but does not have the attention span to sit in a closed store for 15 minutes until she could clock out. Third, it was pretty late and she must have--MUST have--planned ahead so that she's not dealing with printing orders right before she has to close. As I re-enter The Pit, I am ambushed by a brazen frontal assault on my dignity and my pitiful expectation that I should be able to receive a product at its promised delivery time after having already tendered payment. She uttered the following sentence at a conversational volume, but I'm putting it in all caps so you can all let it sink in for a minute: "I DIDN'T WANT TO LOG IN, SO I DIDN'T DO IT." "Log in" to what, she didn't say. The words came out of her mouth with an alchemistic combination of blitheness and ice-cold, cutting hostility that evinced a sadistic pride in how devoid she was of any trace of f*cks to give about her job. It froze me in my tracks. In all seriousness, I probably stood there for a solid 5 seconds before I could muster a response. "Well, can you do it now?" "No, I can't do it now," she replied in the tone a child uses to annoy a sibling through mimmic, "we close in 5 minutes." False. You close in 15 minutes. But using words on her is like shouting words into a wormhole, to be absorbed and sublimed into anti-matter and spat out in a parallel universe. Somewhere on a distant planet that Earthbound man will never visit, an alternate version of Gerard Depardieu heard a faint echo of "Can you do it now?" while checking his email on the Oval Office toilet. I would give zero stars if I could. I went there today in the early afternoon at about 11:40. I had a ready package with prepared label and some weak tape. The guy at the front accepted it quickly and with no problem but as I was walking out this black girl comes over and screams "HEY YOU NEED TO BUY TAPE AND TAPE IT, I'm not gonna to tape this ****." And mind you, there are a couple of customers in the place already and I was with 2 of my friends. So I just bought the tape and double taped it over what I already had. It was supposed to be a free return as promised by the merchant but I ended up paying $5 for the extra tape. Disrespectful and rude. I only went there because it is close to where I work. read more
