It's laughable that these people consider this a legitimate UPS Store. UPS HQ should really re-examine how they let something like this store be part of their organization. This is less of a UPS store and more of a bombed out totally dilapidated room that resembles more of a mail hoarders basement. And it's been like this for two years with 0 Improvement . If you want your mail and packages strewn about and misplaced in a disgusting and dirty third world approach to business with rude and miserable employees then this is definitely the place for you. Prime case in point these owners can't even maintain consistency on the address of the actual store as they moved and still don't even know how to update their business address on yelp and google. The new location is also possibly the worst possible location in all of New York in terms of traffic. It only makes sense unless you live literally around the corner from it. Otherwise you should go literally anywhere else. Be prepared to get in stuck in the thickest Holland tunnel traffic as well as you attempt to make your way there at a snails pace crawl. Probably the worst choice to put a store in this specific place a block away from the tunnel. In conclusion this filthy poorly run/managed embarrassment of a UPS store isn't worthy of even storing your trash inside. Much less your mail with your personal information. Be warned this is the bottom of the barrel here. Be forewarned the moment you walk inside you all ask yourself if this is a legitimate business in any capacity. read more

I do not recommend UPS because they cannot accommodate customers that doesn't have intercom in their apartment building. I ask UPS to have driver call my father when package arrived so he can have aide to come down open the front door and sign for package. Sadly UPS cannot accommodate because drivers do not have work phone. For that reason, I do not recommend UPS. This doesn't work for us. read more

1st of all, they are now located at 393 Canal Street but they don't have the decency to update the address online for potential customers. The reason I gave them 1 start is because I called to confirm their notary's hours and was told Monday-Friday 12-2pm, fine. I walk there today in the rain to be told that the notary is not there and when I shared the info I was given, the reply was "I don't know who told you that". Horrible business that clearly doesn't give a darn about losing money and they certainly don't know what customer service is! read more

Mailed a package for a friend, no response from the recipient--couldn't find the tracking number or receipt! Forgot exactly when it had been mailed! Couldn't remember what the return address had been, just the recipient name & address & this UPS Store. I've come here to drop off a package with a pre-purchased shipping label and to do a no-box Amazon return using a barcode. In both instances, the staff here were very nice and I was able to be in and out in under 5 minutes. read more

I'm really surprised at some of the more negative comments that are here. Everyone I've ever dealt with in this store has been extremely helpful and professional. This is right around the corner from where I live and I find myself using this UPS Store for more and more things. They are now scanning photos (snapshots) to be used in a party slideshow. This is not the highest level resolution scanning, but then it's just $.59 a piece. The young lady who helped me was amazingly efficient in the way she handled a flood of people who came in at the same time! read more

I like this UPS store. Why? The employees know what they are doing and are always helpful. It's never a pain to ship items. I asked them to pick up boxes today for a delivery to Texas. The guy showed up 30 minutes after the pick-up time. I was a bit annoyed because of the 30 minute delay, but it was expected considering Chinatown's heavy daytime traffic. It was easy. I filled out two forms: one for the mailing instructions and one for the credit card authorization. I received a call within 20 minutes of the pick-up regarding the total price for my shipment. They charge $7 per box to pick-up in addition to the shipping fee. It's a fee I am willing to pay for the convenience of not having to leave my apartment to ship boxes. read more

While mailing & shipping stuff is never fun, the employees here make it as painless as possible. I have been here to ship for work (iMacs) and personal (large-scale framed items), and have been more than happy with the service. The guys know their stuff and are very friendly and helpful. I always seem to have to wait behind a senile old man sending clothing to Thailand, but that's NYC for you, and not the fault of the store. read more

Best UPS store I've been to in the city. Customer service is always on point, friendly and reliable. I highly recommend this location!

I have also had good experiences here. The employees are always nice, look out for you, and honest. If you need a passport photo to getting something notarized, to even mailing something out, it quick easy and trustworthy. It's a UPS store, not a restaurant, so the fact that my experiences there have always been so positive that it puts me in a good mood says a lot. read more

This is probably the most incompetent ups location I've ever been to. I needed a document notarized so I walk in at 3pm and the guy says he's not there but to make an appointment for the following day online. I do that- walk in for my 9am appointment and the guy laughs in my face telling me the online system doesn't mean anything and the notary won't be in until 11. Not only is the store completely incompetent but the employees are rude and unhelpful. Don't waste your time at this location!!! read more

Made an appointment for notary service via UPS website. Guy at the counter looked at me like I was from Mars, laughed and said they don't acknowledge online appointments. Duh, of course not! Why would they do that? OK, whatever -- but then he refused to notarize my documents because of "liability issues." Maybe that's legit, but I wasn't instilled with great confidence he knows what he's doing. And guess what -- if they had read the damn form I filled out online with a description of what I was bringing in, I wouldn't have wasted my time going there. Absolutely terrible! This is actually my first review ever written on Yelp but I have never had such a ridiculous experience before at any business establishment. I made a 2:30 appointment online to go in and have a document notarized. I arrived a few minutes before 2:30 and as I was walking in, another man was walking out (I assumed it was a customer). It was actually the notary! He went on his lunch break and I was told I could wait 30 minutes. They do not check or honor online appointments and are unapologetic about it. I asked the attendant working there to please come back and honor the appt (he couldn't have been more than a minute away) and I was told I could wait until he was back from lunch. It was an unreal, twilight zone experience! It's no wonder some people never advance in their careers - how can you when you simply don't care! Absolutely terrible experience. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I will be uploading pictures this week for this as well. I've been battling UPS and this store since May 2016. After repeatedly asking if the store had the proper materials to package and ship an IMAC 27" from NY to LA, the store manager, Daniel Howell, told us yes, that they ship the computers all the time. Fast forward to - my computer arriving dented and in need of a whole screen, motherboard and casing because of how badly they packaged the computer. That's almost $2000 worth of repairs. IF YOUT DIDN'T KNOW, the store is the only one able to submit a claim. As a customer, YOU HAVE NO VOICE in the matter. Daniel then proceed to lie in the claim and said the customers packed the computer. My initial conversations with Daniel were terrible. He even screamed at me for asking for the claim number but I got it from him and tried to deal with corporate. In the end, UPS agreed to pay a claim for repairs and shipping but not packaging,because of the lie. Corporate let us know that they sent a check to the sore in June 2016. I called the store several times and no one knew anything about the check. Finally in August I called and spoke with Daniel again, who said there was a check there. Was somebody going to call me????? He asked for my address and said he would be shipping it that day. 2 weeks went by and no check. I decided to call Amex and get some of my money back and got them to reverse the shipping charges. The day after this happened, I got a call from the store telling me that they couldn't send out the check anymore because I reversed the charges. I told Daniel that since the check included shipping refunds, I would agree to charge that back to my card but not the packaging because I should not be charged for the reason all of this was happening. Daniel told me he had to ask the owner of the franchise- JOHN WONG. He owns two UPS franchises but never gets on the phone and never returns calls to customers. Daniel called me back and told me that the owner was not going to let me charge anything back on the card, he wasn't going to send the check now because I got the charges reversed. SO he arbitrarily decided that after his employee made a mistake, I have to pay for it. I lost my work computer to this and have been using someone else's computer until I got the money to fix it. NOW - I will never see my money and the coward hasn't had the decency to do what is right. AVOID AVOID AVOID this UPS AT ALL COSTS. IF YOU MEET JOHN WONG, make sure you ask him about the claims check he stole from me. IF someone from UPS is reading this. My experience with this store has been awful. I tried to ship a package with next day air and the associate assured me that it would get there by the next day. They package took three days to arrive because it was the weekend except he did not inform me of this. The owner has been extremely unprofessional and will not issue me a refund for the shipping. read more

I took a package here on 12/19 to have it delivered by 12/24 to saint Louis. My package ended up lost in Malibu California and my boyfriend ended up with someone's medication and dirty clothes for Christmas. When I went in to complain the lack of apology for this mix up was ridiculous. I provided weight and dimensions of the box I received like asked and they still couldn't figure out who had my package til later when they were angry they never got their box. I'm finally receiving a refund but they can't even get me the tracking number of the package that is supposedly coming back to me even though they sent the person a shipping label. It's beyond me the incompetence level here is unreal......and I was impressed when I went in the store because there was no line and it was fast but don't let the fool you because the fast service allowed for weeks for fighting with them. I would have been better off waiting for 2 hrs in line at usps. read more

By far the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. DO NOT GO HERE if you want to ensure your package is handled correctly. Dropped off a package on Saturday with expedited overnight delivery to be delivered to my client on Monday. The man behind the counter ensured me it would be delivered on time and that the package would be picked up that day. What do you know its Monday and the tracking information has not been updated since Saturday. I called the store and the woman very rudely told me there is nothing she can do to help me and that the driver never came. After voicing my frustration, she laughed and hung up. First of all, I'm pretty confused a UPS driver wouldn't come to pick up a package at a UPS STORE. And second of all, the lack of professionalism and proper customer service is what left me most appalled. I don't know how this place is still in business. I wish I could give it zero stars. read more
