I payed 7.99$ to request for my valuable phone to get dropped off safely to this access point and as I was getting ready to pick up my package when I called Scott had the nerve to tell me he handed my package that contain my phone value of 1,500 dollars to a stranger! a man at that when I'm a woman . First off what doesn't make sense to me is how was my package handed out to a stranger that's supposed to be verified and sign by only !!!! The person receiving the package. Due to series of screw-ups, I had a half-hour to print a contract, get it signed, witnessed, and sent out by 6PM. Everything got messed up, but when I arrived at the UPS store at 6:45 they took care of the package immediately and even stopped the delivery guy from leaving. Ok. I'm giving one star because the younger gentleman in training was not a complete douchebag. I googled UPS stores near me while on my way home to avoid unnecessary traffic. Maybe I should've just went to another one despite the inconvenience???? I'm waiting in line when there's a lady in front of me kindly says "Is there someone behind me? Maybe you should help her first." Worker sarcastically and impatiently says "...I will" Mkay..He signals me to put down my package on the counter. He sees that I have not taped the box. He points, gives me a look and says "you didn't tape the box?" I state, no "I have not. Do you have tape?" He says, "you can purchase our tape or pay $1.50 and we'll tape it for you." Must be some fine job taping you must do... FINEEE. I pay the $1.50 and wait for receipt. He's clearly training a younger employee and is talking to him like he's a moron the entire time, yelling at him in front of customers. Someone clearly needs a vacation? I've been to other UPS stores and when I asked to purchase their tape, I was told that they would tape it for me and made me feel ridiculous for even suggesting such thing. Given my past experience, I did not expect to get such a reaction. Like, no I didn't tape it because 1) I don't own packing tape, probably cause I don't spend my free time taping boxes, 2) I did not have time. The Asian male counter person is rude and surly. They charge $6 cash if you deliver a package to a store. They have a $10 minimum to run a charge & the atm across the street charges $3 per transaction. I have diverted deliveries to this store before with no fee since the UPS drivers have been known to deliver to the wrong address in my area. I tried going there twice at 6:45 pm during the week and the place was closed and dark even though the posted closing time is 7 pm. If you post a closing time, it stands to reason that the place should be open if you arrive prior to that time. When I ask him about this, he says that I am lying that I was never charged a fee before and early closing. Why would I make that up you condescending twit? Now they want to hold me up for an additional $6? Here's an idea UPS, build that fee into your shipping charges and get this man out from serving customers as he is damaging your brand reputation. read more

Hands down, the worst customer service experience I can remember. Just awful.... On Monday, 12/18/2017, I dropped off a package that needed to be in Miami by the end of the day on 12/21/2017. Due to the holiday fast approaching and to guarantee its on time delivery, I was told that I had to use Two-Day Air. which is obviously A LOT more expensive than Ground. With no other options. I ended up agreeing as the importance of the package left me no other viable choices. To make a long story short, the package was never delivered on 12-21-2017 as promised. The next day, I called UPS and inquired about the package and was told that the driver attempted delivery but the customer was not available, to which the recipient (my girlfriend's father) stated the doorbell/buzzer never rung at his apartment at the time the UPS tracking information says. There was also some information in the tracking history that didn't make sense to a couple different representatives. When I asked the UPS representatives about a refund, a partial refund, or some sort of compensation, I was transferred to the billing department. After explaining to them what happened they were ready to refund me or compensate me somehow but when they realized that I did the transaction at a UPS STORE and not at a UPS facility, I was told to contact THE UPS STORE itself to resolve the refund. Of course I am not blaming the delivery issue on THE UPS STORE. That is not their fault. The problem I have is with Carl (Sp?), who I suspect is the owner of this UPS STORE. His lack of understanding about how to resolve issues and how to treat customers is truly pathetic. I rarely write reviews for businesses but this one was definitely earned. I've visited this location several times because of the proximity to my home. I will never visit again. The service is terrible. One person who is often the one working the counter is incredibly rude. He is very condescending and short with customers. I've witnessed it with several customers on different occasions. The other person I've seen working there isn't much better. If you need ups services, please go to the Hackensack location. Rudeeeee! I walked into an empty store with no clerk at the desk. A moment later a man (Oriental) walked from the back of the store. As he walked out, I placed the box I was dropping off on the desk as well as let my toddler sit down for a moment on the counter. The man came out of the back room with an entire mouthful of food and barely mumbled hello. He seriously looked like a chipmunk! How gross. Anyway- he refused to help me on that side of the counter and said I needed to move over to the other side of the counter. Instead of not continuing to be rude, and possibly helping me by taking the box to the other side, he just stood there and chomped away on his food. I couldn't even tell you what he said when he handed me my ticket after the transaction was done. If he's the owner, you need a little more class and respect towards customers, and if this is an employee, maybe he needs a reality check that it's rude to act the way you did! Next time maybe take an extra 30 seconds to finish chewing before you greet a customer with food falling out of your mouth. Also, if you see a customer (male or female) holding a child, help out by taking the box if you refuse to help the customer on the other side of the long desk in the store.... Today I walked in to return a Zappo package. My printed receipt would not scan. He said it would cost $3.00 for him to print it and I had to email it to him. He proceeded to hand me a paper with his email address and walked away. There were no other customers in the store. Being older and not that tech savvy, I could have used some help. He was so rude I left and went to another store. This store had a line of customers, yet the young man there, took my phone, sent the email and charged 13 cents for the copy. few things: 1- The hours are unreliable. Often not open when advertised they would be. 2- Service is generally unpleasant. Manager seems truly annoyed at every costumer that walks in. 3- Packages never sent! This location is very close to my home. The first time I sent a package with them and it was never received I thought it may have been an error in transit/shipping. Then it happened a second time and now I'm concerned the store never actually sent it. After reading a few other reviews that this has happened to others using this location I'm not sure how/why they are still operating. I switched to the UPS store in Hackensack. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER and that too from the owner !! If I could, I would give them ZERO stars !!! Firstly, I should point out that very rarely an employee (a young boy) will be servicing customers but most often he is not around or in the backroom and he is nice enough, but the owner is simply AWFUL and VERY RUDE with zero customer service skills. I often go in there to drop off UPS Packages, the owner will not greet, look or make eye contact but will just point to the weighing scale and mumble something like " place it there" - that is if I haven't already placed the package on the scale. I often thought he was racist as I am Indian (he is of asian descent so go figure !!) but then one day I see him speaking so courteously, chatting, laughing away (almost flirting) with a young african american woman. So I guess I should rule racism out !!! Ah, but note she was mailing out a package for about $200+ I guess money does TALK !!! As I stated early I often go only to drop off return packages - so may be his attitude has to do with the fact that I am just dropping off and hes not getting any money from me. I usually go in with my young children and every time they get a lesson in RUDENESS 101 !! This is a copy of an email to UPS Store Corporate about the Maywood UPS Store. Last week I had a package "UPS'd" from a merchant in San Francisco to my local UPS Store in Maywood, New Jersey, since my UPS man will not leave ANYTHING in my safe condo building. Even with MyChoice online signing, he still leaves door tags. I had the package go to the UPS Store for my conveinience. When the Store called me this morning that my package arrived I was told there would be a $5.00 Storage Fee. WHAT??!?! This is a blatant ripoff. When I asked when the package was delivered he said an hour ago. I told him he's out of his mind to ask for a Storage Fee as the package was sitting on the floor behind his counter with ONLY ONE OTHER PACKAGE. He basicly told me to take it or leave it. Now, there is nothing on the either the UPS Store or UPS website indicating any "fees" and I feel the whole thing is wrong. This is my post to the Maywood Chamber of Commerce. I am curious to know if anyone else has experienced similar. I want to register a complaint with reference to the UPS store and was wondering if anyone else made similar complaints. The owner is nasty, insulting, rude and misogynistic. I don't write these things easily. Forget about him having common courtesy to say hello or good morning, please or thank you, even after I say to him. I say thank you he doesn't even acknowledge. There have been ongoing instances of his rudeness but today I would have no more of it. I said good morning. He said nothing. I brought my 2 very small preposted return packages and put one on the scale. He scanned and pointed his finger motioning for me to put the other in the scale.(it was 2" next to the other one. he is too lazy or rude or the like). He handed my receipt and started to walk away. I said a loud and clear THANK YOU. Well he went into a screaming rage saying that it's not my "right" to come into this store. It is a Privilege!!! He said "you have been coming here for yeArs. Short story: Rude, unprofessional, nasty, rip off. Long story: I was using the print in store option to return 2 packages to Amazon and didn't tape the boxes because I was unsure if a slip needed to be placed in the boxes later. I chose this location because I was in the area for a doctors appt. BIG MISTAKE. The man there who gave his name as Carl was rude from the start. I put my packages down at the one side of the counter because no one was visible in the store at all. He came out and stood at the other side. Didn't say anything just stood there staring. I picked up my boxes and as I walked over I'm trying to ask a question he cuts me off 2 words in and says "I'm not taking it until it's taped". I told him that's fine but it's my first time printing in store and didn't know if a slip needed to go in the box, which he would have known had he bothered to listen to the customer. I ask if I can buy tape he tells me it's over on the wall or he can do it for 1.50 a box. I said ok tape it up and he asks for the QR code to print the labels. So he's printing the labels I'm holding my debit card to pay and he finally looks up telling me it's "3.21 but I'm not putting anything less than ten dollars on the card". Didn't see any signs or anything but ok I tell him I don't have cash on me and before I can say I'll go to my car and grab some he starts whining. "See this is why I don't want to print it now I can't even cancel blah blah blah." I cut him off and tell him to give me a minute. I mean theres a bank across the street with an atm my gosh it wasn't that big a deal. I come back with the money give it to him and get out. I'm so annoyed with how rude that guy was.
