I have a small hobby business run from home, as well as a remote consulting practice. These require me to visit this store at least several times a week, on average, In doing so, I have found the three guys that run this place to exhibit, at least in my view, the ultimate in customer service. Pat, the guy that manages the store and also routinely mans the front counter, is always very upbeat and I find, extremely customer friendly. He is always willing to help those that don't understand the shipping process. There are many repeat customers that are used to bringing in different types of online sales returns, but also those that have not been there before or often and are not aware of what's involved in packing and shipping properly. Pat is always willing to help, and in that way can be very informative as well. He has in the past made labeling suggestions to me that have been very helpful. He is also the location's notary, and is quite adept at streamlining and explaining what's involved and how it works, for those coming in for that, that are unfamiliar. I find at times, in an effort to better serve their customers, when the place gets a longer line, Pat can pick up speed to look to get customers out quicker. Damian, is the epitome of calm, and exudes customer service. He will routinely go out of his way to help people, and seems to have the ability to remain calm and relaxed, no matter what is thrown at him. Quite often I have seen people come to the counter, and after waiting on line, find they can still not locate their shipping label in their phone. Despite the mounting line, where he could just as easily tell the customer to come back when they find it, he will routinely ask the person if they might allow him to help, He then, very efficiently finds the missing label, hands them back their phone, with a shipping receipt and sends them on their way. I can't think of any place I patronize where the staff might show that extra effort and courtesy. Another member of their team, Tim, I have found to be the consummate gentleman as well. He is often there late in the day, and encounters people coming in, minutes before closing, While he is cleaning up to end the day, he will stop to assist the consumer and just return to his closing activities, without rushing them. When I had started leaving this post I noticed that the rating was not as flawless as I had expected. I saw that some were not at this level. In scrolling down I found many that were a decade old and before the revision of the location's operations and the change in staff, and even some meaning to critique other UPS Store locations included here. If you have any reason to need any of their services, of which packing and shipping are just part of many, I personally suggest that you visit this location. I truly believe you will be as satisfied as I have been in the manner I have been treated. Just an aside, people have commented on the difference in pricing between the UPS website and the store counter, as well as the cost of boxes and materials. Many are not aware, each UPS Store is individually owned and incurs its own overhead and payroll costs, hence there are two distinct pricing structures set by UPS. Any consumer is able to print out their own UPS label online, even set up their own UPS account in minutes, afix the label to their own box, and drop it off at the store with no charge for the drop-off, as I do myself. read more

Horrible business practices. Very rude to customers. They have an online appointment scheduling service. Twice I made appointments for a notary. Twice the notary was not there, even though I received multiple emails reminding me of my appointment. Finally an employee told me that their online calendar is not updated. When I told him that I had made an appointment he was extremely rude about it. He basically said I don't know what to tell you. We have a new owner. I try to call people when I notice that they made an appointment. No apology. UPDATE: The owner did acknowledge my review, in a respectful manner. I had a problem with a package . Stopped by another ups store which I won't mention. Walked into this store and explained my situation. The amazing woman ,which I found out later to be the owner said to give her a minute. In less than 2 minutes had everything resolved. The previous location said they had no idea what to do after waiting 30 minutes. Not only is the service absolutely amazing ,the store is spotless. It's a shame that I can't give this store an amazing staff more than 5 stars. One thing i can say is that i will use them for all my shipping an printing needs from this point on. The workers in this store are obviously untrained or just too uncaring to follow their own rules. Two workers taking care of customers wearing masks like a necklace with at least 6 signs everywhere about mandated masks as per the state mandate. I am appalled....maybe fed ex is more considerate and respectful. read more

The store generally provides good service however today I called to see if they were open and someone answered and said yes. I got there at 11 and the store was closed and looked like it hadn't been open at all! I was very upset for making a trip there for nothing. read more

The young lady that I had the displeasure of encountering today was horrible. She did not greet me, she did not use any pleasantries, and she seemed completely annoyed at having to help me despite this being her job. However, there is another young gentleman there that is always kind, courteous, helpful and pleasant, she on the other hand, is not. read more

I got here at 6:06 and the store is closed. The one thing I can't stand is bad business. They state they're open until 6:30, I came way out of my way to get here and they close early. Poor business!!! read more

One Sunday afternoon late in January I dropped off six boxes at the UPS store in Massapequa for shipping and was overcharged by over $20 a box. The charge felt like highway robbery but I no longer had much choice. My trip had been delayed a day because of a winter snow storm; I was moving my daughter back home to another state because she simply wasn't functioning; and not being familiar with the area, I had already gotten lost trying to find another UPS store. These were an extra six boxes left after the movers came, and now I was in a time crunch because I had to board a flight at LaGuardia in a dwindling few hours. When I arrived home, I checked online to see what I should have been charged for the boxes. When they arrived, I measured the boxes and determined that in computing my shipping cost the store clerks had added two inches to the measurements of the length, width and height for each box. Armed with this information I called the store manager who said that his name is Patrick, reporting the overcharges but he ignored me. I called UPS Customer Service who called the store, and again I called Patrick. He said that that the online charges are just "estimates" and dismissed me. I consulted my local (and honest) UPS store manager and discovered that the inappropriate increase in box size put the shipping charges for the boxes in a higher weight and charge category. My local manager assured me that increasing the box size as Patrick's store did was not UPS policy. However, I also learned that UPS has no oversight over it's local stores and does not protect a customer when a UPS store upcharges a customer in violation of UPS policy. I order print jobs from this location regularly. I think that the employees are actually very helpful and accommodating. The price is right and your order is always quickly completed. Would love to make this review longer and give more details but there's not too much to say. They do a good job. Worse thing I can say is that the line can get long certain times of day but when that happens they do their best to pull someone from the back who's working on orders to move things along. read more

I ordered business cards through email with Maria. This was my first time ordering and she placed the order for UV coating which I agreed to not realizing that was glossy. I picked them up and realized it wasn't what I wanted, the colors were also off. I asked one of the employees what they could do for me. She got Maria who immediately met me with a defensive attitude which made me extremely uncomfortable. She told me that's what I ordered and that's how the file I sent her printed. She would not help me in any way and instead attacked me and went out of her way to make me feel bad. I left upset and dissatisfied. read more

We have been dealing with this store for over ten years. The staff is not only always willing to help out. The staff is very friendly and always go above and beyond when sending packages or assisting us in the store front. They have always been fair with pricing and professional with packaging and correctly so nothing gets damaged. I went to the UPS store at Southgate shopping center as an access point to pick up my packages. When I arrived the guy behind the counter only gave me one box instead of the two I was expecting. I walked out to my car and then turned back inside the store to double check with him When I asked the guy to double check he became rude and said, "do you see any other boxes here?". I did in fact saw plenty of boxes behind the counter but didn't want to argue with him. I then placed a claim with UPS and within a day or so another employee called my phone and left a message stating that they found the other package and to return to pick it up. I had to take time to make two trips to pick up two boxes at a store with a rude little man behind the counter. Utterly unprofessional service there. read more

I usually never have a problem with this store, until last week. I handed the clerk two packages and he mixed up the labels. My returns were sent to the wrong businesses, one of which was worth $1400. It took me hours to straighten everything out with multiple phone calls and emails customer service at the companies and to Amazon to create new return labels, which I then had to send to the sellers and ask them to return the product the rightful owner. I had contacted this UPS store and they never responded, even days later. The problem is that this store usually only has one person working, so the returns just get put on a shelf so the clerk can get through the line of people, instead of finalizing each order first before doing so. While appreciate his wanting to get people out quickly, his carelessness cost me hours of time and almost $1500. On a busy Saturday, the owner should have more employees working, if not himself, if he really cared about people and running a good business. At the very least, get back to me. read more

I went to the ups store to mail a UPS return postage item. A pad under warranty. I bubble wrapped it and had everything but the box. Only a small box was needed. First I wait for 5 minutes for the woman to tell me that it will cost 14 for them to wrap my free postage item. Which was already wrapped except for the box. She then proceeds to tell me rudely that full bubble wrap is not enough. I ask to then be sold a box. She says she can, but again rudely states that in no way can I put the Item in the box in the store. I will have to leave the premises. Are you kidding me. Then she tried to charge me $6 for a box for a small pad. I paid for it (before deciding to return it) and she didn't even give me the box. I had to ask for it. The box was 3 times the size of the pad, with bubble wrap and I was told that was the proper size to properly secure it and its very heavy weight. At this point I still have no way to mail as I don't bring extra bubble wrap, although I had tape in the car as we own a moving company and my large boxes are cheaper than there box for my pad a d only slightly thicker. I will never go to that location again. read more
