Everything else in this store is of a high quality except for "Refund practices" during the first 10 days of a contract with the store's mailboxes. Under the Consumer Protection Act I have 10 days to decide if I am happy with my choice and if not, get a full refund. When obtaining a mailbox from the UPS Store located at the Clock Tower Plaza on Norwest Road in Kingston, ON Canada, everything went well, with courteous service but a few days later I changed my mind and wanted to cancel my contract for my mailbox. Everybody kept putting me off and said I must talk with Martha Wilson. She is extremely difficult to pin down and talk to. By the time I got to talk to her it was twenty days later and she professed that there was no refunds after signing a contract. I know my rights within the Consumer Protection Act. My contract was for 12 months rental of a mailbox and she refused to refund my money: $253.00 worth. I was even willing to forfeit the first month and she said no refunds, period because it was their policy. Their policy is in direct conflict with the Consumer Protection Act of Ontario 2020. The UPS Store at Norwest Road in Kingston, ON Canada is breaking this law using unfair business practices. I am not impressed. This situation could have been sorted out in a simple manner but Martha Wilson decided not to. I won't be taking my business or my corporations business to the UPS Store ever with this kind of Customer Service practice going on. Not impressed at all.
