We didn't want to take out a contract with a garbage company once we found out we can drive 2 miles from our house and drop off our garbage. All have different compactors or cages to place your disposables. If you spend more than 5 minutes there, ask for help and keep moving.

It is really just a drop-off center for boxes that have already been labeled. If you can't create a label, they can't help you. We're visiting HH and working remotely, so when my Apple MacBook Pro wouldn't charge, I was in a panic. Called several places. Most assumed it was a dead battery and said it would be into the next week before it could be fixed. Steve ordered a battery that would arrive 2 days later just in case that WAS the issue, to get me up and running asap. He then took a close look and discovered that other cleanup would solve the problem. Checked the battery and said it was ok. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Steve was efficient, honest, cost-effective and communicative. He obviously has a lot of expertise and was overall GREAT to deal with. Call him if you need help. You won't regret it!

HHI Computer Guys was the only place where I didn't have to leave a voicemail and was able to talk to a human. No response from any of the other places. :-/ The Computer Guy I talked to was straight forward with me about what needed to be fixed & how. Helped me find the needed part, and then scheduled a day & time to do the repair (at their shop) that was convenient for me, and got my computer back to me in a few hours - not days, HOURS. Bonus points for the polite young man at the desk AND for sharing with me a different problem found inside the computer and let me know it could be an issue down the road without pressure to fix it on the spot. Small shop - BIG heart. Will be my #1 go to place for repairs & recommendations from now on.

Anyways. So I was in a pickle and had to get 5 USAF BHG uniforms done for a parade within like 3 days. These uniforms used to take the alterations shop on base about 2 weeks to do from scratch. I sent the specs over to Chrissy along with one of my older uniforms and with a few looks she had it. she knocked out five fully dressed USAF BHG uniforms from nothing to something in 3 days. that include hems, tapers, sew in creases, piping , ranks, waists. no easy task when you virtually have to take the pants apart to do it and then sew them back together again. the prices are more than fair especially if you look at the alternatives on base. she is a master of the trade. Need custom pillows made?she can do it ( I walked in and saw her doing it), need drapes? she can handle that too? need a dress done? bring it in. BY THE WAY-- Name tapes can be done here! why pay the Exchange and have to wait weeks when she can have them done for less and in no time flat. Name tape machine on site! To be a one person shop and provide the service that she does and in the timely manner that she does it makes this shop pretty dang good!

THEIR "REPAIR" RUINED MY SOFA UPHOLSTERY! DON'T GO HERE!…read more The upholstery on my sofa detaches and is machine washable. I tore it while putting it back on. I asked them sew a similar fabric on the UNDERSIDE to reinforce it and keep it from ripping more. Didn't need to be perfect, I knew the tear itself could not be sewn together but patching and stitching the underside could mitigate the damage. I came to pick it up and BOTH SIDES were covered in a fabric patch that's not even a close match! I was told that there wasn't a way to reinforce it from the underside so they just did both. Even if that were true (it's not), why did no one call me FIRST and tell me the work I requested and paid for wasn't possible? This is a very basic ask of a professional tailor, it's unbelievable they got it so wrong! This patch is so much worse than the original tear. The sofa was custom made in Japan and is a one of a kind piece. Pics of the tear and what they did to it. The pics of the denim repair is an example of what I asked them to do.
