I live in a building with a standard NYC intercom system: you ring the bell, I buzz you in. That's it. Not complicated. Yet somehow, on multiple occasions, the driver will buzz, fail to open the door, shrug it off, and mark the delivery as attempted. The next day? Same exact routine- forcing me to either wait again or go track down my own package. As I'm writing this, I'm waiting on a food delivery that should've arrived hours ago. I'm not optimistic- according to tracking, it hasn't even left a facility in another state, and the last update was over 24 hours ago. The only silver lining is that it's currently single digits outside, so if my box of raw protein is sitting in the back of a truck for God knows how long, it might still be salvageable. The customer service agents are incredibly impatient and lack empathy. I am temporarily disabled and using a walker and was struggling to get the box to his counter while maintaining my balance, he kept rushing me.
