While doing some errands on the weekend, I had to stop at a UPS location. This was the closest on in the area that I was in so I decided to just go here. There was a long line but in my option it was going at a good pace. My interactions with the guy at the counter was cool. They do seem to be in rush to get through the customers but it is in a crowded area of town. So they may just want to try to keep the line moving. read more

Standard size UPS store.I understand that they are all privately owned and operated but since the are representing UPS, they should norm around best practices that all locations should follow. For starters, the prices are drastically higher. I needed to print a label and he told me the 2 sheets were $5.79. Not for shipping the product, just printing. Insane! They also charge you for tape. The customer service agents are incredibly impatient and lack empathy. I am temporarily disabled and using a walker and was struggling to get the box to his counter while maintaining my balance, he kept rushing me. Every time I go to this location for a notary service, the staff is rude. The first time when I attempted to get something notarized the worker asked if I had an appointment and I said no, he told me I needed an appointment and I said let me make one now. He rudely said NO and told me to go across the street to Geico. This time I made an appointment online and arrived at the store to be turn away again. No explanation, nothing and told again to go across the street to Geico. If you don't offer the notary service then the website shouldn't be accepting appointments. read more

Been here many times already (usually to return Amazon packages), and the staff has always been very helpful! There is often a long line, but it tends to be emptier at the end of the day. This was my first time visiting this location to return a package. An older fat Asian man was assisting me. I politely asked if he could place the return label over the previous shipping label on my package. He responded with, "Where else do you think I was going to put it?" Surprised by the tone, I asked, "I'm sorry, what did you say?" He repeated the same response, again with a rude attitude. I told him that it's not appropriate to speak to customers that way. Regardless of what someone may be dealing with personally, working in customer service comes with the responsibility to treat people with respect. This location tried to charge me $45 for a return box and 'packing' materials for a 2 pound backpack. After questioning the charges the price went down to $33. Then I noticed that he charged packing materials twice, which then took the price down to $20 (still too much). Obviously the staff has changed since my last bad review of this place, but the deadpan way in which they serve customers and the seeming inability to know that a backpack that arrived from Amazon in a box by itself doesn't require $40+ dollars of materials - priceless. Im not sure why all staff members are sooo irritated by the customers returning items for Amazon? Like its our fault Amazon is doing business with UPS. God forbid you have multiple items, they make you feel so unwelcome. Customer service is really strange here. Up to recently it's been either friendly or they appear annoyed and just want and show they rather not be assisting. The workers aren't the most friendly, and they have this "greater than thou" attitude at times; arrogance is the word, but as long as service request is done and done correctly I was fine. This review is due to recent experience, there seems to be a new guy there, and while he was friendly, I questioned why he was charging me for an Amazon return if in the past I've made a couple of them and they haven't charged me for a box. And this charged me $20 this time! With no valid explanation of why in the past I wasn't charged and now I was. That's insane. My item did not weigh that much even if it was a big box; as it was plastic and box was thin and airy. Not only that, the one guy I am familiar with, all of sudden had a nasty attitude. Dismissing and basically ignoring me. Right to my face even though I kept calling out to him for assistance. Not until the worker at the register spoke to him, did he come by and with arrogance and not even looking at me directly, but with an attitude in his voice, said, "so, you have to bring back the box it came in." But like speaking down to me. I explained it's a box for multiple orders and it was thrown out, but I can buy a new one if necessary but this has never been an issue in the past. He continued to ignore me and had this arrogance about him. Working and talking super slowly. So poorly and unprofessional. The thing is this is the closest UPS store to me, now I have to go prepared to be stressed out when I go there, just bc apparently the workers seem to be stressed out and irritated. The UPS Store - Scan - Printing Services Near Me - Forest Hills, New York

Not many UPS locations left. They recently closed the one closer to us so we started coming here to return packages. This location actually scans the packages right away instead of other UPS stores so it's a relief for us especially if it's an expensive item. So for that... 4 stars for now. No issues yet since we only need to return items to sender. Usually a line but not too bad. I actually prefer UPS over FedEx. read more

I use this store from time to time to drop off return packages. They are a full service UPS store with mailboxes here as well. Meaning you can rent a mailbox here as opposed to using the PO box at the post office. You can also ship packages here and they have any shipping materials you may need. Such as boxes, tape, etc. Easy to use and the staff here is nice. read more

The layout of this UPS is not appealing. Not only is it not inviting but it's almost as if they do not care if there are customers waiting to be helped. The staff here works pretty quick, most of the delays I've experienced waiting on line are mostly due to customers chatting it up with the staff or they didn't select UPS as their drop off location for their return. I have used this store many times since the pandemic and always felt safe, as a matter of fact I've even commented to people how safely they run their business. Staff, and customers, always seemed to wear masks and social distance. Well, I was very surprised today. All of the customers were wearing masks but NONE of the employees were. I had a box of wine delivered to my house, but no one was there to pick it up. I paid to redirect it to this UPS store. They sent it back without even contacting me. The winery shipped it again. The tracking number says it was delivered. Says it is in the store, but they said they immediately shipped it back. They are lying. UPS has an excellent tracking system. This Forest Hill Austin street store employees are lying lazy jerks who were that Sunday. The wine came in again on Tuesday, they kept it for us this time. 4 stars for the end, 1 star for those guys who work on Sundays. read more

Don't use these people for prepaid packages. I had to mail a package with prepaid shipping and they insisted on charging me almost $15 for a box, even when the instructions clearly said "the associate will pack and ship your items for free." I guess they're not making enough on that corporate contract so they want to skim a little extra from the customers. read more

There is an Asian older gentleman with eyeglasses who was very frazzled and did not place the label on my package which meant that I did not receive the refund from the store. This UPS store is the only other place besides the post office (bane of my existence) and is a saving grace when i'm too lazy to make the effort to mail something myself. The service has always been very efficient and polite - last week i had to mail an envelope with some documents to a strange off road address in vermont, and the young lady who helped me printed a label and sent the package or quickly even though the address didn't come up in the system. all my items sent from there have been received safely. The one downfall is how expeeeensive it can be. it can cost up to $80 to send a medium sized envelope overnight! and some packages can run you pretty high if they're heavy or going somewhere more far out. This can sometimes also be the reason i suck it up and go to the post office anyways, but the convenience is a hard selling point. read more

Came in here to complete the process for my passport renewal. What do I mean by that? I was able to get an waterproof & hard envelope, passport pictures, and a printout of the passport application by accessing it online. I was able to mail it out and get it tracked in less thank 30mins. Everything went so smooth and the reps were so helpful. The Rep, I worked with the most was so courteous and took his time to help me. I really did appreciate that. Saidul is amazing!!! After spending a rather frustrating hour waiting at USPS, I was annoyed to say the least. I walked into UPS expecting another intense wait and irritable person behind the counter. Instead, I was met with a very quick line and the friendliest smile. Saidul was helpful, answered all my questions, offered insights and information, and he was so nice!!! He smiled and laughed, offering pleasant conversation while efficiently preparing my shipment. Before I even speak about my experience here, I want people to know that this a 3rd party store. With that being said, this store may seem like and act like they are UPS but they are not. I confirmed this with a UPS representatives and it makes sense why their prices for UPS items are so jacked up from paper to boxes. ANYWAYS, long story short, my package was stolen/lost from this store. I dropped this package off to be shipped off, only for it to be never scanned in therefore untraceable. Also, it was my fault in throwing out my receipt when they scanned my item BUT I thought it was okay cause I had my tracking number. However, UPS needs proof of receipt for them to INITIATE a investigation about my item. Yet the store insisted that because I got a receipt when I dropped it off, my package must've been scanned in. I have checked the activity log for my package a million times and it has not moved from created label to shipped at all. I lost around $300 and it seems like whoever is doing this, chooses wisely because it doesn't happen to everyone. However, I don't want people who wishes to send their precious items or even money to ever go here with there even being a chance of it being stolen or lost. I have read reviews of individuals who have lost their packages here and never found a resolution because the store itself did not provide assistance in helping the customer. If you want good service, I definitely recommend going to MAIL DROP on 108st. I highly recommend their friendly service and my packages never have gotten lost, damaged or stolen.
