One of the services that they advertise on the front of their building is making signs. I took in a small already fabricated metal sign on Thursday with a copy of what we wanted to put on the sign. I went back in on Tuesday mid morning just to see if there was any progress the and if they had a proof. They lost the sign in the store so I stood around for 30 minutes while they looked for it. Then I was told another employee will be in at 10:30 that may know where it was so I decided to head back over at 10:45. Once in the store, I was totally ignored by the lady that was the one that actually took my order. She was within 6 feet from me, didn't say a word and she went straight to the back room never to be seen again. That left one lady at the counter, waiting on multiple customers as they came in while the gentleman was preoccupied with something else. I was able to get his attention after 30 minutes and asked him if I could speak to him in private. That other employee ended up showing at 11:30 went back behind the counter and then all of a sudden the gentleman reached up on the shelf and I heard him say here it is. Handed it to her, and then she came over, laid it on the counter in front of me. No apology ! They just continued to go about their business.

She said she would need to open the box and check. Please keep in mind I've used this store hundreds of times and this has never happened to me. She opened the box and looked at a laundry item and saw it had polyvinyl alcohol. This was a tablet you put in the washer to whiten your clothes. She said she couldn't ship the package per store policy even though it was shipped to me by UPS. Told me to go to USPS and they would ship it, which they did. The one odd thing is I noticed no other customers had their packages inspected except me. I'll know to avoid her next time I need to ship another package.

They went out of their way to help me find the least expensive way for me to ship a large pink wing chair that belonged to my parents from SC to Maine. The other places I consulted, UPS and FedEx, wanted to charge significantly more than the chair was worth (even factoring in sentimental value) and would not pack it for me. (And how, pray tell, was I supposed to pack a chair myself that was about 39" X 37" by 26"?). Well at Jerribob's they told me packing up the chair would be no problem. Bob got it out of my SUV for me, since it was way too heavy for me to lift. He also told me that if I had the chair delivered to a business, instead of a residence, it would be almost half the cost. I guess because they can just drop of the pallet. Less labor. Whahoo! How about that in a world where most people are trying to extract the maximum amount of money from you while providing the minimum amount of service?! I love Jerribob's and I hope all of you who live in the area support them. They are a great couple and really understand customer service. They absolutely deserve our business!
