FedEx does an AWFUL job with package handling, delivery, and customer service! They DO NOT CARE about customer complaints!

Communication and service. Express delivery due yesterday postponed until today, not deliver today. Last scan departed Charlotte NC (a hr drive) 126AM and has not been scanned in ove 16 hrs. Not a living sole at fed ex can has anything to say except "it was last scanned departing Charlotte at 126 AM" nor do they seem to care that they don't know where it is. We would NEVER use FedEx again this was our 1st & only time. At the time we shipped our package (Computer) out we had boxed marked FRAGILE all over the box & requested a signature to be required which wasnt!! Thank God we took out insurance for good reason because the Driver (Tyteanna) threw our package on the Porch & it was busted open on one side clearly!! We're so disgusted at the NON CARING DRIVER who he treated our package!! Plus fact when we called FedEx customer service you are told call next day no Supervisor is available. You also can't get anyone on the phone it's nearly impossible to get help by calling when you want & NEED a live person. My mom sent a phone out of here and they removed it aka stole it and weighted the empty box . When the box got to return center it was empty . Know it was stolen at receiving center in Florence because of weight they scaled it at was less weight then the phone alone . My wife ordered a package to be delivered. Last tracking was out for delivery out of the Florence, SC hub. Driver said it was delivered and signed for but the shipper used the wrong address and put our USPS box at the resort we live in. No way it could be delivered to that location. This is the 4th package they have lost or sent to the wrong place. Sounds like they might have a theft problem at this hub in my opinion. FEDEX will do nothing to help us in this problem. Fed Ex "usually" does a great job in delivering my merchandise. However, the last "few" times they have "not" delivered my packages to the right address. There is usually two address labels on the package with the "correct" address on the package.....So please help me understand why recently in the last 3 - 4 months you are not seeing clearly. Also, 117 is posted on my house clear as day.....but yet they take the packages to the next house and their house# 113 is posted as clear as day as well. When this error occurs, I do not get a delivery notice stating my package was delivered. Please correct this problem. read more

This is about the delivery driver specifically the downtown Sumter area. We are a business and have established package receiving guidelines. These have been thoroughly covered wit the driver. He still refuses to follow our guidelines....come to a certain door and place packages in a certain spot. The delivery service in general with Fed Ex is an issue i also have had issues at home with driver throwing package from yard to front porch. While this may not be all drivers i can not seem to locate a direct line to lodge complaints directly, perhaps this is by design. If anyone of importance sees this perhaps you could suggest a direct delivery driver issue phone number or website. Going through the 800 number for a prolonged automated process that doesn't have this option only further increases the frustration. read more

I ordered a phone through spectrum.. tracked the package and once it arrived at FedEx I tried to go and pick it up & I was told that I couldn't receive my package because it was "locked up" .. so I placed it on hold and went to pick it up the following business day & was told that my package went "missing". The manager, Tina, is always very helpful. Every time I go to drop off a package, she always comes out to greet me. This season has been busier for me when it comes to shipping out packages but Tina and her team always make my visit run smoothly. Horrible! I'm doing a renovation and had a lot of deliveries. The Florence SC FedEx is a black hole! The driver had my packages for days driving them around and then brought them back to the facility because there were "too many" and some were "too heavy." None were excessive or over 40 lbs. The driver lied and said I asked for a delay, I did not. He then asked if there were stairs and for help!! All he had to do was leave them at the front door- he left thousands of dollars of merchandise in the parking garage! Property management was furious. He just dumped them and left. I've never heard of a FedEx driver that refuses to make deliveries!! read more

Do NOT use Fed Ex Ground in South Carolina. EVERY single time, at least 10 or more shipments NEVER arrive on time. 8 packages that needed to be signed for are not being delivered today. According to the agent on line, the facility did not have enough room on the truck. Hired someone to be at my home for delivery today. Now I need to find and pay someone for delivery tomorrow. Not even an I am sorry for the delay. This is just ridiculous...this happens EVERY time I have a ground delivery from Florence terminal to Myrtle Beach. Last time they told me the driver was sick. totally dis-satisfied. two separate packages, dropped at wrong location. trace shows "left at front door" fifteen hours later - -packages were found at neighbors side door. my house # is 66, packages were located at #75. post office is much slower, but at least delivery can read. The Florence office is the hub for the Grand Strand area, Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, etc. I have lived here for over 30 years and can say with the greatest amount of honesty that FedEx is the WORST delivery service in the area. Today, I had to sign for a package. Stayed home all day. Saw the FedEx truck turning in my driveway. I went to the porch, saw my flag pole had been damaged by the winds. I was on a bench, taking the flag down, heard the doors opening, packages being moved, heard the door shut. AND THEN, they drove away! The tracking stated no one was home and it wasn't able to be delivered. WOW! I have had several other problems with the Florence area office and delivery so this was the nail in the coffin. I attempted to call the main FedEx number to get the driver back here, they said they had talked to the dispatcher. Well, its been over a hour since phone call, a hour and 15 minutes since they drove off. The driver could not have been far in 15- 20 minutes but did not bother to return. So, another day tomorrow is wasted waiting on the WORST package delivery service we have in this area! Future research, if delivered by FedEx I don't need the product! read more

They've left packages in the rain without notifying me of delivery (they could have put it 3 get to the left on the covered porch but opted to leave it on the rain) they are now going to be 4 days late on a 2 day Amazon prime order. The other package that I ordered with this one was delivered by USPS on time and in the right location. They make Amazon look bad and actively blamed the delay on Amazon. Amazon had been giving me free stuff for fed ex's inability to do the job that their company is contacted to do. I mean seriously, your job is to drop off a package at my house. Every other delivery company can make that happen with ease and you are late, don't communicate, and blame others. I told Amazon to never use them to ship to me again, something I found out you could do it you call them. I suggest giving Amazon a call and telling them not to use Fed ex for any of your deliveries, it's such a getting feeling knowing that you will get your items when promised! read more

Had the worst experience with FedEx. A package was supposed to be delivered to my business on Wednesday in Myrtle Beach with some parts I needed for a project We are working on Friday for a client, but instead showed up at my office on Thursday when I wasn't there. I Contacted their customer service within the hour, trying to get them to hold it in their distribution center in Myrtle Beach for me to pick it up. I was told that the shipper has to give permission. After getting the shipper to call them and give that permission, FedEx representative informed me that the package was back at their distribution center in Florence, which is another town over an hour drive from me, and that I can drive there to pick it up or wait till the following day to receive it! I left instructions for the driver to drop off the package early in the morning between 8am-10am. Today, Friday, nobody showed up, so I tracked the shipment by 11am only to find a message that my package will be delivered on Monday instead!!! After calling FedEx customer service AGAIN and talking to a representative, she told me that my package never went out today because my business was "closed"!! I asked her where they ever got that from, if we clearly asked them yesterday to deliver the package early in the morning! Our website even clearly states our business hours and that we're open on Friday. That was one of the lousiest excuses I've ever heard! I asked to speak to a supervisor and file a complaint. My call was transferred to a supervisor, whom I had to tell the whole story from the begging. I explained to her that the excuse of "their business was closed" have been used falsely multiple times before and many of our packages were delivered on later dates than they were supposed to. She told me she will attempt to contact the local manager and get back to me. She called me back only to repeat the same lines, which make you feel like you're talking to a robot, saying that the drivers are all out already and if I want I can always drive to that other town or wait till Monday to receive my package! When I asked her if she was a supervisor she didn't confirm and told me that they are all "equal" at the customer service department! I filed the complaint and asked that someone follows up with me to let me know how that is going, and she replied that their policy forbids sharing the progress of internal complain handling with customers! I made sure to let her know that we will be taking our business elsewhere! We have paid thousands of dollars in business with FedEx, yet, their service was horrible, the deliveries weren't on time, their customer service is awful and I would rather drive across the country and pick up my shipments than having to deal with them again. read more
