Never seen someone so loud and proud about their racism as Linda. I went in to have a title notarized for a young man. As soon as the notary realized his father didn't speak English, her attitude changed completely. She became incredibly rude, pushed our paperwork back across the counter, said she wasn't going to deal with it, and refused to help them. If there was a legal reason she couldn't notarize the document, I completely understand--that isn't my issue. My issue is how they were treated. There is a professional and respectful way to explain a legal requirement, and this was not it. The dismissive and hostile way she spoke to them was shocking and deeply upsetting. I've never witnessed someone treat people so differently because of a language barrier. Whether it was prejudice or simply unacceptable customer service, the experience was completely unprofessional. The older woman acting a notary gives out false information. She even admitted to notarizing customers she know with just one photo ID but required me to have two photo IDS. Where is the consistency and protocol. BTW I have had other document notarized three times at this Enfield location and used my passport. She refused, however, to recognize this. I requested assistance with looking up a package without knowing the tracking number. The store manager, Linda Sullivan stated that it was my responsibility to look it up, and she would not provide any assistance. I asked if she had access to the UPS Web Site, and she does. She stated that she does not have to provide customer service and refused to do so. A complaint was filed with UPS Corporate and the UPS Store service line. read more

The Enfield UPS store doesn't have the technology to scan and print pre-paid UPS labels, despite the fact that the label I had was equipped with a barcode expressly for this purpose. First, I was told to forward the email containing the prepaid label; that did not work. I was then told to take a screenshot of the label, and email it . I don't know if this was successful, because I was basically pushed to the side as additional customers began to queue up, and was not given additional assistance. Additionally, a family member was told to go to the US Post Office to print a pre-paid UPS label. read more

This business does not deserve a 1 . Rudest person I have dealt with in any type of business. She was not helpful , condescending and wrong about all that she was talking about. Went to another UPS close by and was greeted with a smile and courtesy. My package was immediately taken care of , in and out in 2 minutes . Will never go back to the UPS store in Enfield and will. tell everyone that I know about the terrible employees and and the lack of customer care. One side of the tape was starting to let go and she SCREECHED to the poor guy helping me, "Charge her 3.19 for the tape the package is supposed to be ship ready". So literally this woman wanted to charge me 3.19 for a piece of tape on a package that UPS ALREADY DELIVERED to ME and WAS UNOPEN. I drove home and taped it up and returned. They have either blocked or discarded my previous review. Buyer Beware. Suffice it to say that the item that I paid them dearly to pick up, wrap, and ship, was voila---three scans and no package. It was a sham. You and I know who you are. There never was a package created for my item. They picked up the item and created a shipping label. Called me for payment (nearly $200) and I paid them. What they did with my item is anyone's guess. They never shipped the package. It "disappeared" before any physical scan was required. Go with another, more reputable shipper. Had a package to be delivered. I needed it to be taped up. It was a small package. They wanted to charge me $2 to tape it. I think this is a bad policy. It could not cost more than 10 cents for 18 inches of tape. I can see why they may need to charge but don't gouge and take advantage of your customers. When I mentioned the post office would do it for free the counter person said the post office is a government agency. I do not know how that would be relevant and secondly the post office is not a government agency. Poor policy and poor customer service. read more

He was so welcoming, thorough, and definitely had so much shipping knowledge to share with me. Wanted to rebox an already boxed Amazon package and for me to pay 30 for a box. What is wrong with the company.

Yesterday I went to the UPS store at 54 Hazard Ave in Enfield ct to ship equipment to Direct TV. The line was very long and the young lady said it would take some time to "enter my equipment in her system". I told her that I would be happy to leave it with her if she promised to call me before the end of the day with a tracking number. She agreed and I left my name and phone no. I did not hear back from her so I called at 4:30. She said she did not get to it but would call me back by the close of the business day which she indicated was 6:30. This morning when I still did not hear from her by 9:55 am I called and said that no one bothered to call me back, which NO ONE DID. The woman, Linda S., on the other end of the line was unbelievably rude. She stated she was not there yesterday and was insulted that I said no one bothered to call me. I hung up since she was not giving me my info and treated me like SHE was the customer. This shop has my equipment and I have no tracking number. My daughter-in-law just went over to try to retrieve my equipment and they refused to give it back to us ... we have no equipment and no tracking number. Stay as far away from this place as you can I don't believe I'm the only one who's had these kind of experiences with them. Apparently they're independently operated and don't have to answer to UPS at all. read more

Buyer Beware!!! If I could give this UPS store a negative review, I would. I paid dearly ($200+) for pick-up, packing and shipping of an item that they lost, seemingly-intentionally, or stole. (This was a non-replaceable item that I had searched for for years.) They had no interest in finding my package, and flippantly said that a claim could be made...Their explanations and what seems like a cover-up is something that they have practiced or have had much experience with. Whatever you do, go somewhere else for UPS service. Better yet, choose Fed-Ex or USPS. read more

Had a package I was not able to be home to sign for during business hours dropped off at this store location. After receiving a delivery confirmation email I went to pick up my package only to be told it wasn't in the system by the clerk. When I offered the clerk Zack the tracking number he said he couldn't do anything with that so I left package less. Contacted the shipper only to discover the package was indeed brought to store days earlier and signed for. So alas, i had to return back to store only to be told by Zack that since it was not a AP package the fee was $5. Moreover while waiting around I observed another customer enter to ship a package that needed another strip of tape. 2$. After seeing this I will be sure to avoid this franchise location and recommend yelpers do the same! read more

I called on the telephone and asked how much to send my laptop it was boxed in the mfg box but I needed them to put it in a bigger box and send it to NY. They asked me the size and weight and zip code, I told them and they said $11.00 Wow that sounded cheap too and I needed to send it right away and went to the store. They did not tell me the FULL information she told me shipping only not packaging came out to be $34.15 When I arrived at the store she said that was only a estimate only for the shipping. Well with estimates like that what good was the estimate! If she would have told me it was $11.00 shipping plus packaging then I would have asked how much was packaging. This was very poor customer service and I will never go to this store again. Beware of any estimates from this store. I asked for the 800 number for the district manager and they gave me the 800 number to UPS lol, just gets better and that C/S rep finally gave me the 800 number for all the UPS stores which I found out that they are all independently owned. Not owned by UPS at all. Oh 5 days later the store owner never called me I will never go to this store again. read more

A gift was packaged and shipped from UPS Store #716 in Enfield CT on Thursday 10/29/15. I was informed at the time it would arrive within 2-3 business days. After waiting 4-5 business days, I was informed from the recipient that the package did not arrive. I called the UPS store and was told they would put out a tracer on the package and would call me back in a couple days with an update. I waited several days and never received a call, so I called back and was informed the package had delivered with no signature since the recipient had checked a box on the UPS website stating no signature was required (The recipient has no knowledge of checking this box and is a new resident at the "shipped to address"). John, the UPS Store owner, informed me that he would investigate further and get back to me. I waited several more days and never heard back from him (again) so I called and asked to speak with him. He told me he was going to escalate this to his supervisor and give him a couple of days to call me back as his supervisor was expected soon. This time I waited approximately 2 weeks and never heard back, so I called again. In total I have made 6 additional investigative phone calls to the store, each time resulting in the same response, "give me more time and I'll continue to look into it", until today (2/10/16). Today's message resulted in the same conversation (package had delivered with no signature since the recipient had checked a box on the UPS website stating no signature was required) which John also added...there is nothing more he could do, except come into the store the next time I wanted to ship something and he would give me a deal. So, needless to say, after 103 days of waiting for an answer I was extremely disappointed. They don't seem to be able to prove that the recipient checked a box saying "no signature required"...I imagine this is their failsafe for situations like this. I also found it extremely annoying that the owner continually told me he would call me back and has never done so, I've made every phone call to him. Lastly, I won't be taking him up on his offer to return to the store the next time I want to ship something as there are many more dependable shipping companies out there I am sure would like my business and can provide adequate customer service. I guess we have varying definitions of what "customer service" is... If there was an option for -5 stars, that's what this UPS store would get. I went into this UPS store with a return shipping package to Verizon. I needed just a little tape to seal it up. I had run out at home. Zack Sullivan, Store Associate, charged me $2 just throw some tape on my package! What a rip-off! I always seem to forget that I can go to Staples and have the option to ship FedEx, USPS or UPS. I hate to be nickle & dimed!!!! There are better ways to make money through value added services. Or here's a novel idea, maybe just provide exceptionally great customer service and people will seek you out to do business. I'm a loyal customer if you treat me right. I drive from Enfield to E. Hartford for a haircut that I'll gladly pay $25. Because they do a great job. I will go out of my way not to do business with this UPS location! Buyers beware! Reported package on 3/31/17 that was sent from there but arrived with broken item. Emailed picture of broken item & provided shipping receipt & sale receipt for broken item. Phone calls & another store visit but still no resolution (at 2 months only said they were working on). UPS website instructs to go to store if sent from there and says 10 days for resolution. Never using them or UPS again. read more
