Had a humiliating and terrible experience at this store. I did 3 returns here and the lady asked me to look inside to make sure it was the right item and I agreed which I can understand why but a few minutes later when we were wrapping up she told me it was going to be a couple bucks to tape up the box they opened?!! And when I brought it to her attention thinking maybe it just slipped her mind she implied that if I wanted to be cheap I could leave a review and it would be free. it was busy and i try to take it with a grain of salt maybe that this womenhad a bad day but it was the worst interactionat a buisness ever. This store consistently smells like weed and they close whenever they want too and pick and choose when they want to take amazon/happy returns then they charge you to do it on certain days while other times its free. they have hand written signs everywhere basically telling you not to do anything short of breathing and where to stand. Then if you bring up any of these issues to them this older black lady goes off the wall trying to say we thr customer are the problem. Got it. The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Brownstown Township, Michigan

I had a frustrating experience at this UPS Store. They advertise closing at a certain time but I arrived at 5:15PM to find the doors locked and lights off on a Thursday none the less there was no notice or explanation. When I finally got in later that week, I was sold "new" boxes that were clearly reused, with other customers' return addresses and old tape still on them, just to be charged a Amazon fee for a free return on top of it. It's highly unprofessional and makes me question their integrity. I won't be returning. read more

Is UPS expensive? Yes. Should you know that going in? Yes. Will this location do "everything" for you and give your shipments white glove service? Yes. But you will pay for it. You will pay for the box, you will pay for the tape and packing materials that it takes to assemble and properly ship that box. Now, will Danielle (the owner) and her awesome team do it in a timely and helpful way?! Absolutely. You get what you pay for. Value, in my eyes, is having all of the hard stuff done for me with a smile. These ladies work hard and deal with a lot of crummy people with bad attitudes and never lose their cool. I returned with sealed packages and left her 46 yds. of sealing tape and asked Danielle in efforts to "pay it forward" for the next customer coming in needing a little customer service. This place is one of the worst. The employees never know much of anything related to the services this location provides. When I always ask when my package is estimated to make it to its destination, I always get this "I don't know" or get a blank stare. The only reason I gave them 2 Stars is because the packages do eventally reach it to their destination which is the very basis of their business. read more

Rudest and worst customer service experience by one of your managers at your West Rd Brownstown Mi location. I am requesting that you review the video footage from your store so that you may witness the experience I just had with the manager, Danielle. My sister just lost her husband unexpectedly. We scheduled a 9am Notary appointment online. (See attached email confirmation) I also had a package that I purchased shipping packaging for at your store that needed to be mailed out. We were first in line this morning at 9am when the store opened for our 9am appointment. When Danielle opened the door she immediately began berating us stating and pointing to a sign inside the store that Notary appointments do not even begin until 10am contrary to what your website states and to the appointment confirmation that I received from you via email. She nastily told us to step aside and she'd work us in after assisting 9-10 customers that came in behind us. After waiting and watching a continuous flow of customers I expressed my concern as to when we would be attended to as I also had a package to mail and my sister had one form that required a notary. She was rude and hateful even raising her voice towards me as she told me not to speak when she asked what the form was that needed to be signed and I explained what the form was titled and that it had to do with my sisters recent and sudden loss. She said I don't need to hear from YOU and I don't need any information about all that. Completely lacking in kindness and empathy. I'm horrified at her behavior and the fact that she is in management and reacting this way is beyond disturbing. If I owned a company I would certainly want to know WHO was representing my company and also HOW they were representing it as well. I believe if you will take the time to review the video you will be just as disturbed as I am. DANIELLE is a horrific and miserable human who projects rudeness and negativity and she certainly does not need to be interfacing directly with people/customers. I ended up taking my package with me to mail at the post office instead because she was giving me a hard time about mailing it asking me if I've ever used a UPS store in the past and when I stated yes she said you're not in the system and continued berating me. The worst ups store. Enrico spent 45 minutes with his buddy trying to work on his cell phone to print a boarding pass. After 45 minutes it was my turn. When I asked why he couuld not scan my amazon return while he & the guy worked on his cell phone he said I was disrespectful asking to get in line in front of the guy. Then he tried to charge me to rebox and label my amazon retiurn which is a microwave or pay for him to do it. That is not what amazon authorized. Scan without a label. WORST UPS STORE EVER read more

I went to this location because the website said notary here no appointment needed, I got there when they open, waited for 30 minutes in line just for the employee to say are notary is not here. I don't know how these people stay so calm and effective at this place!! It is always so crowded and they work calmly and quickly without rushing you. They always are willing to help and deal with rude customers in a very professional way. They always have a smile on their face and are ready to help with what you need. While I was in there for not even 2 minutes to return an Amazon package I was disrespected by an employee because my three year old son was crying for water and I was told to "get my child under control". Then, when asking for a manager I was told by the individual who said for me to get my child under control was the manager when come to find out he was not. TERRIBLE SERVICE and incompetent staff. Our family WON'T USE THIS STORE AGAIN until it gets better management. Yesterday my spouse shipped a package to Ohio. I clearly marked the package who and where to ship it to in thick black marker and highlighted the address to ship to. Instead we got it back the next day because the clerk entered our address as the recipient instead of shipper. We had to wait for the package to arrive late the next day to take it back and ship it as we originally requested, and to ask that they ship it w/o charge due to THEIR DATA ENTRY ERROR. Instead, I was told this was a UPS "blue" store, not a corporately-owned UPS store (as if that explains anything). The manager refused to grant a full refund or ship the package to the correct recipient w/o charge even though the ERROR was theirs, not ours, and we lost a day of shipping. They blamed my spouse for not correcting their data entry errors even though my wife has vision impairment. My spouse also shipped other packages at the same time and the clerk made SEVERAL ERRORS on those packages as well that we had to correct. Today the store "settled" my complaint by refusing to refund the $13+ they made us pay yesterday, and give me a 50% discount on the $16+ they charged us today to ship the package. In the end we paid about $22 to ship a single package to Ohio and lost shipping time. I wonder if the manager would accept a 50% discount on hospital services when they malpractice on her. From now on we will take out shipping business elsewhere, definitely not here. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect because of the negative reviews, but my experience here was Excellent! I brought in an antique table (in pieces) to ship, after a couple other places (including another UPS store) told me they couldn't do it. Cheryl (sp?) packaged it and was extremely helpful in explaining the process. It arrived at its destination 100% ok. Worst experience at a UPS store ever. My father just passed and we were packing up some belongings to send home. It's the last day of our trip and we were finalizing our goodbyes. We had a few boxes that we had packaged ourselves but had two more boxes that just need to be secured and taped.. We had our own tape but needed to buy bubble wrap. Now.......I know that the UPS stores are individually owned/operated franchises...but that doesn't mean customer service and professionalism should fall by the wayside. I think the woman we were dealing with was the manager. We brought our boxes in and set them on the middle counter. We were picking out bubblewrap when we hear the manager say in a very stern tone that we can't pack our boxes in the lobby, that the middle counter was for customers only?!? And she said that was because they provide full service packing and shipping Well.....We were customers, we purchased a roll of packing bubbles and we're going to send packages to the tune of $300 from her store. I also understand she's a business owner and has to look out for her bottom line... She reluctantly allowed us to use the lobby counter to pack our last two boxes. However, chastised us when our tape was making too much noise for a notary conversation...sheesh!! Note to the manger: everybody that walkes in your place of business and should be treated with decency and respect. Thank you to the blonde associate who helped us out. Use caution when using this UPS Store. You might get your head bit off if you do something that they don't think you should do. Pretty lame store for someone who is there to serve business people. I'm traveling, so I needed them to print my Amazon return label. You'd think I asked them to land a space ship! They could figure out how to open a .pdf (??), so I faxed it from my phone. Strike 2. Finally I had to send 2 separate screen shots. Then they charged me $5 for the print to ship my free prime return. There's 30 minutes I'll never get back. read more

I will never try to use this location again. I tried to send a rifle barrel back to the manufacturer and they refused to send it. I had to drive to the Taylor location instead. This was not a firearm, just a barrel. This location is anti gun and will not send any type of firearm component or anything firearm related. read more

I was really excited when I found a UPS store close to home! Very disappointed with the service! The owner is very rude and condescending. She speaks to customers like they are two years old! I would think that a owner would go overboard to make her customers want to continue using her location. I spoke to someone yesterday that said they used this store to ship a package and they will never go again since the owner treated them so poorly. I will never go back to this store!
