Been going here for 2 years, and they have been outstanding. Going out of their way to help me with whatever I need. They aren't anymore expensive than any other shipping/printing store and I have been to a lot of them across the US. In fact, if you read most of these reviews they kinda just look like people who are upset that things cost money. No lady, they aren't going to give you free envelopes because you ask nice, do you get upset if Starbucks doesn't give you free coffee when you ask? There's more though. Apparently some of these folks think that boxes and packing to ship their stuff in is free as well? OMG what a scam! lol. The rest think that because they have an issue with UPS that the local, independently owned branch should resolve UPS corporate issues? Nah. Also the last lady to leave a garbage review apparently doesn't know the difference between sending a letter via a government subsidized service like the US Postal Service and a private carrier with full tracking and a guaranteed delivery date? uhhh, duh. Not to mention, all of these people act like they just dropped things off and paid later. If the price wasn't what you wanted to pay, then why did you do business with them? First, they give free estimates of what it would cost to ship things if you ask. If it's not what you want to pay, then I'd suggest waiting in line at the post office or boxing/printing a shipping label at home. Anyways, don't take my word for it, stop in next time you need to ship something and see for yourself. read more

I have never had a difficult time coming into the store getting assistance that goes above and beyond regular cashier customer service standards; and yes even a plain white envelope to mail something that has a pre-paid label cost money you can't get anything for free. But they're stellar service is priceless. I believe their prices are reasonable for faxes and shipping and I use them often and will continue to the staff is also very lovely. This has to be the worst customer service in all of Brookings. We live closer to Brookings but I'd rather drive to Sioux Falls for a UPS store. I've gone in twice and my husband once and all three experiences were terrible. Just rude and snotty! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst place to ship. Worst customer service ever. I sent a package overnight for $55 and it didn't get delivered. Now the manager/owner won't give me a refund?! FedEx or the USPS will get my business from now on. This place is a joke. read more

First off, the customer service I received at the Brookings, SD location was terrible and they were the least bit helpful. On top of that, it cost me $7 to mail 2 sheets of paper when I regular stamp is a fraction of that price. My boyfriend sent me a box of Girl Scout cookies once and they charged him $25 for shipping plus a $5 box. I will never use UPS again. read more

I go there to return stuff from Amazon, they send it. Next day I go there with another Amazon box and the employee goes, "we'll charge you a dollar for packing". Well, I am already there, so sure enough, I paid for it this time, but never again am I going there. UPS pick up is the option that I am going to choose. You just lost my business... Absolutely terrible service. I have used many sign companies from around the area, and the UPS Store in Brookings was without a doubt the worst. Now, I am not one to write reviews, in fact-this may be my first! I was so appalled by my experience that I felt it necessary to share. I assigned one of my staff members to the task of finding a sign vendor in the Brookings area, proofing what we need, giving dimensions and upon my approval-ordering the sign. Annoyingly long story short, the sign was printed opposite dimensions. Their staff member Cindy assured me that it was an error on my team's part. I asked that she forward me the emails so I could address it properly. After nearly 6 hours of waiting, I called the store. Cindy was "with a customer." A woman named Reva (sp?) called me back a bit later. What I experienced was the reason for this review. People make mistakes-Absolutely. I do it frequently myself. I told Reva my situation in hopes that a resolution was in sight. Time was very important in the printing of this sign as it is for a promotion that only runs month long. She then tells me that because the word document we sent over with the wording and graphics to be used was horizontal and even though, we said very specifically and okayed the proof for a 32x45 sign, that they went ahead and printed a 45x32. The store was aware that this sign was to be tall and to be set in an easel. After a company prints the wrong size of sign, and it is proved in writing/email that it was in fact their error, you would expect the company to print the correct signage, right? Wrong. Instead, I was told that they would "junk the sign and you can go find someone else to do the job." After I expressed my concern for the lack of customer service, raised voice and overall poor handling- her response was: "well, we've been going back in forth on email like, 5 times on this sign." Isn't that the point in putting in an order, proofing, and ordering? I was blown away. I stated, "Isn't that your job?" I asked for her manager's name. Reva then told me that she was the store owner. This surprised me greatly because as a store manager, you should know not to talk to people in that manner. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I then asked for who she reports to or who I would contact to speak about my experience. She then said, "Um..yeah, I own all the UPS Stores in South Dakota." At that point, I told her, in her words, that she could go ahead and "junk the sign they made and I will find someone else to do the job." I went down the road to Outlaw signs and had a mock up within the hour. If you're looking for a sign-head elsewhere, maybe let Reva stick to postage. read more

I would also give 0 stars if that were an option. The management is so penny-pinching that they refused to let me use one of their envelopes because the service was purchased from a different store--well, I was returning escrow docs, and we all know the escrow company sends you the UPS label to return those. Believe me, I WILL be paying for it! I looked at the small covey of very embarrassed, red-faced employees, who had just informed me of this policy, and I felt so sorry for them. So I gave them 42 cents for a pitiful, plain white envelope, and off went my UPS overnight air package in the only non-UPS plain white, delivery envelope I have ever seen. I would think UPS would have rules about things like that for its franchisees. This franchisee has a serious lack of business management skills . . . reminds me of when K-Mart started "renting out" its shopping carts for a quarter per use. I knew their days were numbered. I mean, shopping carts were invented so people would buy more than their arms could hold, right? I believe the days of this UPS franchisee are numbered as well, because when it comes to making money by delivering service, it's all about the customer service, isn't it? read more

This place is a rip-off! I've gone there numerous times to ship, copies, etc. and knew they seemed a bit overpriced but today, takes the cake. When I was done with my transaction, she asked if I needed stamps or anything. Since post office was on my list, I thought I could save myself a stop. I ordered roll of 100 stamps and swiped my card for $61.40!!!! Guys a roll of stamps at the post office cost $49.00. By this time, I had taken two of the stamps out of the center of the roll making them unreturnable (I didn't even ask). I inquired about the additional cost and she stated they charge a little bit more so as not to be in direct competition with the post office. REALLY? I didn't even know you could charge more since the business I work at charges the same as the post office as a service. 57.65 + 3.75 tax???=61.40. $12.40 more to save myself 5 minutes-ridiculous!
