If there was an option for no stars, thats what I would give this UPS store. I periodically sent a package to Washington DC and ussually the cheapest is 2 day ground and depending on the box and weight between $25-$30. Occasionally it can be 3 days depending on weather but most of the time 2 days. Last week I was sending a dress - very light package and figured about $25. I went to this UPS store because I was in the area. They said it would take 4 -5 days and cost $54. I asked about the 2 day groung and they said that would be more. I was shocked, when did this change?! I usually go to one on Arlington Heights Rd and by Rand Rd. The woman said that what all the USP shipping was for Washington DC. I took my package to the other store and it cost me $26 and it took 2 days to ship. I would NEVER go the UPS store on Wing street. They are ripping people off. When I called them and told them that it was cheaper and would get ther in 2 days the lady said - "You should go to that store than". You bet I wil lady!! read more

They have a little 15 year old boy working the front that thinks he's hot shit, and is a complete jackass to everyone that walks in the door. I came in looking for my box that they failed to deliver to my door (it was a $6 package that required no signature or anything, yet they refused to leave it at my door, with no reason listed.) I finally found time to go out to this damn UPS store to pick it up, and when I told him my last name on the package he goes "we don't have anything for you" and walks away. so i show him the piece of paper they left on my door a week or 2 ago, and he goes, "they haven't dropped it off yet", and walks away again. so i clarify that this was a couple weeks ago, and he goes "then they sent it back" and walks away AGAIN. refuses to have even a 5-second long conversation with me just to clarify wtf happened to my package. All I know is they're lucky it was only a $6 item, but if this bs happens again with another package, I'm going in there with the exact same energy this dick had towards me. so good luck. read more

I tried to send a package to Germany. I gave UPS the correct address, but they entered the address wrong (I didn't notice) and it got routed to New Germany, MN. I worked with UPS to try to find the package, and there were a couple UPS people who tried hard to help. However, it couldn't be found, and I didn't get the insurance money or even a refund because by the time we agreed it couldn't be found, it was too late to file for insurance. Fast forward 14 months, and UPS just dropped it on my front porch with NO explanation. FOURTEEN MONTHS! BTW, I did confirm that the address I provided was correct. Glad to have the package back, of course, and I'll resend with a different carrier. read more

They totally earned this 1 star review. That makes them 15 one star against 15 five star reviews. I now know why. They are horrible and customer service is zero. Every time I go in there I find new employees and many not trained properly in their job or great customer service. In this current day and age customer service is what makes you or breaks you. Today they were broken. I will start going to the Rand Road store where Stacy is. She is amazing and always handles you with care and importance. My advise is bypass this location. read more

AWFUL SERVICE AND ATTITUDE I stopped into this location to drop off a package that was to be shipped back to my employer, but I had to find the email that contained the QR code to do so, so I asked the two men who were working there if they had wi-fi. They looked sort of strangely at each other and said that they did not, so I went next door to Egg Harbor and asked them the same question. They could not have been more helpful, and when I searched my phone for their network, the first option that came up was the UPS store next door, so I went back there, told the guy who denied they had wi-fi service what had happened, and said "Thanks for the help" sarcastically to him as I handed him the package and showed him the QR shipping code. Instead of apologizing, he gave me attitude and "complimented" me on my sarcasm. I'll drive further next time to find a different UPS store. read more

DO NOT USE THIS UPS!!! I have an order worth $2,700 delivered to this UPS store for pickup. When I came in I was told by the store staff that my packages were picked up by someone else earlier that day. The staff could not even recollect what kind of ID did that person present in order to prove his identity. But whatever he showed them it was not my real ID. And the staff just gave him my packages and let him walked away. What made this even worse, I was told that there is NO CCTV in the store so they could not even find any camera footage on who did this. I have contacted the local Police and they are investigating into this. I also filed a claim on UPS website but its taking them forever to respond. This is my first time using UPS Access Point because the goods are highly valuable and I trusted them, but now this happened. I am extremely frustrated by the negligence of the store and I would suggest you to never use this store if you care about the security of your packages. read more

This UPS Store is conveniently located and the staff are very helpful and friendly. No matter how busy it is, you never have to wait long. I went in recently with about 20 individual Amazon returns, and Nancy was so patient and wonderful in assisting me. Despite the quantity of returns I had, I was in and out of there in under 15 minutes. I always have a pleasant shipping experience here. read more

Heads up, UPS shipping markup in this store might be higher than some other area stores- all stores mark up if you believe what you read in online forums, but for the last 3 quotes I have received here since July, the mark up here over using the UPS Ap and dropping off yourself, was 65% more at max. Compared to the UPS Store in Buffalo Grove on Half Day Rd which came within a few dollars of the the app price for my last item. Now, I know I pay for convenience when I ship at a UPS store so I get it, but what was kinda' lame was the guy at the counter tried to convince me the price would be the same anywhere else. So either he's ignorant of the markup, could be, not everyone ships often even employees, or he was trying to muscle me which I find a turn-off, or his measurements were grossly different than mine. They were plenty nice other than that, and the store was clean and seemed to have all the random things you need for a last minute shipping task. OK I stand corrected there is no mark up, just an a potentially accuracy problem with their measurements. For the last 4 shipments I measure at home and got a quote from the website (yes I have a postal scale) first then dropped off myself at one of the many drop off points. Not for everyone, but too the proprietor's point dimensional weight is sensitive so if you can measure yourself you might want to double check before you take your package in. Cheers read more

This store deserves a 5+ in the star department. I should have written this review years ago but I guess it's better late than never. If you need to ship anything in any size this is the place to go. Service is a 10, guy at the front is always very friendly and helpful. Need tape, no problem. Need a label, no problem. If your box is larger than your product they will find you a smaller one to save you money. I walked in today with an unsealed box and a pre-paid shipping label, once the guy saw what I had he said just leave it on the counter and I will tape it, label it and get it out tomorrow for you. Awesome! I was in and out in less than 10 seconds. About a year ago I had to ship a third row of Lexus SUV seats... long story but yes I needed to ship them cross country. The guy helped me find a huge box to put them in he filled it with peanuts and all for a price a lot lower than I had expected. I think the people at the Arlington Heights post office need to train over here to see what customer service is, how people should be treated, and how to be helpful to your customers. Arlington Heights Post office employees are the worst. Stay away if at all possible. Trust me and go here before anywhere else. read more

The friendly folks at this UPS store have been there for me whether I need to simply drop off a pre-paid package or seek options to send overnight paperwork. All of the above have been pleasant, quick experiences...and nicely located downtown! My only issue with this store is the parking. On most occasions there are adequate spaces to run in and run out, but if you need to pop in during a weekend day (especially between the hours of 9am-1pm), you might be SOL as Egg Harbor packs the parking lot. They will break your items and not compensate you for them. Buyer beware... I just want to share my story so everyone knows what snakes the people who work/own the 2 Arlington Heights locations (Rand Road & Wing Street) and UPS as a whole. First off, let me start by saying that I am just a regular person. I don't own a small business, I don't normally sell items online, and I don't have a need to ship things regularly. My assumption would be that this is a fair percentage of a UPS Store's customer base, but after my interactions with several employees, I guess that they assume that we are all shipping mavens. I was decided that I was going to upgrade my turntable and wanted to sell my current one to help offset the cost of the new one. I posted it on a used HiFi website and after 5-6 weeks, it finally sold for $1,000 with shipping included (meaning that I would cover those costs). The retail on the item is $1,995, and despite being a few years old, they are still selling for that at retailers. Since the item was very valuable, I kept the original packaging that it came in. Now, these items are typically shipped on pallets, so there wasn't a shipping carton (the outer box), but there were fitted foam inserts and instructions on how to unpack and re-package the items. As this particular turntable has moved with me several times, I was very familiar with how to properly package the components. I took this box to the UPS Store on Rand Road and was greeted by a short young man and a very tall old man. I explained the item and the value, as well as opened the box to show them the sensitive nature of what was inside. I asked that they package the box that I brought inside of a shipping box for further protection. Despite the fact that I mentioned the value of the item and the delicate nature, I was not offered to purchase insurance (this is important later). As I mentioned earlier, I don't normally ship things. This is maybe the 3rd time that I have ever needed to ship a package and always in the original packaging. A few days later, I received an email from a very upset buyer (furnished to UPS via the employee named Rand) that the item was damaged upon arrival and that he was going to submit a dispute with PayPal to get a refund. After multiple investigations with PayPal, I decided to submit the claim with UPS, who directed me to the UPS Store that I shipped from. After explaining the situation to Rand over the phone, I was instructed to email evidence to the UPS Store email address. I provided photos of the undamaged turntable (dated 2/6/2019), the classified ad where the item was purchased from, the bill of sale (dated 3/20/2019), angry messages from the buyer stating that the item was damaged and not packaged properly (dated 3/26/2019) photos of the returned turntable with the damages incurred in shipping (dated 4/1/2019), a police report with a detailed description of the damages incurred (by the Arlington Heights Police Department dated 4/19/2019), along with other classified ads of the sold item and the replacement costs (via multiple sources) for the 2 items that were specifically damaged. Note that it is now 7/11/2019 and UPS has, insultingly, just now offered me just under $130 for my $1,995 turntable that I sold for $1,000 (not including the cost to ship [$80] and post the ads [$60]). Well, I am actually not sure that UPS actually offered me such a lowball amount or if it was the owner of these 2 stores Patrick Casey (Casey Connection, Inc - https://www.linkedin.com/in/patrick-casey-97194a163/). When I received the "paperwork" for the claim that they filed on my behalf, I noticed some irregularities. First off, they only asked for the replacement part, not the sale price, which is what I would have sold the item for, if not for Patrick Casey's employee's negligence. So instead of asking for $1,000 from UPS, they only asked for $90 + $595 + $75.35 (11% tax) = $760.35. Had that been the offer, fine, I could fix my turntable and re-sell it, but for that to be what you start off asking for? That's BS. The second thing that I noticed was the gross lack of evidence that I had sent to Rand at store4073@theupsstore.com. I saw the email that referenced the replacement items but didn't see much else there. I send emails, with evidence, 3 times on 5/9/2019, 5/16/2019, 5/17/2019, 3 times on 5/21/2019, 6/4/2019, 2 times on 6/18/2019, and follow ups on 7/5/2019 and 7/9/2019 for additional information. Lastly, and the thing that really sticks in my craw is that one of the employees included a check stub from UPS, which didn't include a dollar amount, but the insulting check for under $130 was from Casey Connections, Inc. Did Patrick Casey receive the requested amount of $760.35 and pocket the difference? There are plenty of UPS stores to use, this is one to avoid. The Manager was very rude and would not take the time to look at a pile of delivered packages for mine. This would have been a quick task and he knew I would have to come back from a distance. He simply did not care and said come back in two hours as opposed to just giving a quick look. The website says " We can assist you with all your notary services needs" Liars. I got back in my car went to my bank MB Financial in MP, got my Notary stamps and went to the UPS store in downtown MP. Charming gentlemen waited on me. At the UPS StoreI never have to wait, there is always someone coming from the back to help out when they are busy. They remember you, have your frequent shipping addresses stored, provide you with the best shipping option. The last time I was there, I need to print up some colored copies of a sponsor packet for a charity I volunteer for. And they donated the cost of the color copies! Busy Monday afternoon, by himself, five customers in the five minutes I was in there. He easily can do three things at once, moving customers along, while still being charming and professional.
