My package was shipped out from Florida to Maryland on December 8th and did not arrive to the UPS access point til December 19th. Deb from the Aberdeen distribution center was the only person who reached out to help locate the package and made sure it was getting rerouted to the right store. Had it not been for her, likely this package would've never been delivered or sent back. The actual UPS customer service number was no help and could not tell me where the package was, only that it was "out for delivery." I had been in touch with Deb nearly every day until the package was located and properly redirected to a UPS access point. She was so sweet and helped remediate a very stressful situation! The UPS customer service number is actually useless and no one on the line could tell me what was going on. Deb and her team were the only ones who took the time to make this possible and luckily the package was delivered to the right location just in time for Christmas! read more

I got here cause I needed to have some Verizon equipment packed and shipped (surprisingly referred here by the Verizon store cause they don't have the service on a Sunday). but left with an unforgettable experience that confirmed the idea of Customer Engagement and Service still exists. Simple enough reason to visit but the young lady that took care of my request made it such a pleasure. She was upbeat, engaging (as was her counterpart-a young gentleman), informed me of the process and did it very quickly. The remarkable thing is that I wasn't there for their core service but I didn't know the difference because despite I was treated as an important customer. This is very hard to find in the world of retail today. The staff was engaging with other customers who knew them (clear their loyalty in the area is off the charts-no surprise!) As I was leaving, I noticed the sign on the door that said "this store is owned by someone in your community"-for sure that means something at this UPS store. Hats off! Can I give more than 5 stars?! This Aberdeen Maryland store is a big disappointment. Gabie the store manager refused service to me because I am deaf. She continued to speak to me with her mask on therefore frustrating me. She needs intensive training in dealing with deaf customers. I asked she xerox my driver license because an out of town bank who has my inherited IRA account out of state requires a copy of my driver license to process a required minimal distribution and Gabie had the nerve to refuse to grant me this service. What???? Is this forbidden to xerox a copy of license per customer request??? I went to other store where employee understood that I needed xeroxing. I will stick with Kinko's and not use the Beards Hill UPS Store again! Gabie was such an embarrassment to deaf customers! read more

First off never knew this was here, probably because I don't frequent this area often to send packages. Makes sense though since they closed one down by the shop rite. First time going to the store I had a sweet young man come over and assist me from the side computer since I was just dropping off and the line was for people who needed to pay. Now the second time o visited the store, it was a different experience. The female employee (blonde lady) wasn't as friendly at all. I walked up and she didn't even say hello once I greeted her. I then stated it again before she asked what I needed and she said hi. Took my package and bam, all done. Wish for a transaction like that the employee would have better social skills to engage with the customer for those few minutes.....but it appears it can be a hit or miss. I'm not one for adulting I came with my grandma she sent me in to get some papers faxed. Social distancing is enforced but honestly the line moves so fast young staff kept the place lively. Gregory helped me with the fax machine and had me in and out of the store in less then 5 minutes. Again so helpful the woman that was working behind the counter greeted everyone and knew a lot of people by first name. They have computers and soft music playing. The only ups store I go to!!! So friendly and so kind. The kids are tech savvy and know how to help with returns. If someone leaves a bad review they were kicked out or are the bottom feeders of our society. Seen an adult act like a child while these kids handled it correctly. It's unfortunate the older generation can't be a good example. read more

This store is a fraud and has poor customer service! I wish i would ha e read the reviews before I used this facility. I paid $53 to have a sentimental package sent overnight. The package was then handed over to the post office who of course does not over night items. Here it is 2 1/2 days later and my package still has not reached its promised destination. I return to my store with the receipt and the manager and staff say that they never guaranteed that it would be sent overnight. So i just paid $53 for a package to get there whenever?? The manager then proceeds to tell me to call UPS and file a claim myself. I call UPS and they tell me that I need to follow up with the store. This location has wasted my time and money and ruined my goddaughters first trip to Disney because she did not receive any of her themed outfits. I would not recommend this store to anyone for any type of service!!! FED EX is the way to go if you'd like your items delivered on time and for quality customer service!!! read more

I had some paperwork that needed to be notarized...walked into this small shop...they were pretty much busy,,, was in a line of 4 people, you know how it's waiting in line..this time I became aware of how everyone was very patience, respectful to each other, when it was my turn, this beautiful lady, with a very peaceful disposition, help me a retired 75 old man, with my business, she calmly exemplified kindness in customer service...in today's life style, it's very hard to find..I didn't get her name but I noticed she had a gold crown on her necklace...we all choose to be kind or not...they are fortunate to have her.. read more

An international UPS package has many problems with the local UPS and customs. The store kept calling me and saying that I had given them the wrong phone number. The foreign UPS called the number and explained the problem with customs. Four weeks later the package was delivered. Paid UPS over $1000 for shipping 29 pounds. Why 5 stars? Because they didn't drop the ball and say the problem was over there. USPS lost 3 put of 5 packages sent and blamed it on the foreign customs. DHL was $500 more but they had gotten 1 of 1 package through. Note UPS is tied for the lead. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Would highly recommend. read more

Several times over the last few years of going to UPS for several things they are closed in the morning. The website always shows different opening times. They should fix the website to reflect the actual time. As I'm sitting here for an hour waiting for them to open multiple people have had the same issue trying to get it. This place is expensive like you never imagined! I had an important package that weight about 15lbs. from one UPS store to another in-state distance of about 100 miles because last time UPS trucks threw my package in yard and broke it. They charged me $97!!! Well get this I go to the local UPS store to get my package once it arrived and the UPS gangsters there would not let me have it till I paid them an additional $8!! I could have sent it in a taxi for less!!! Cost me a total of $105.00!!! Unbelievable!!! read more

The worst experience I have ever encountered. This location is a bad representation of ups. I went in to send a package overseas and it took three times to enter my information correctly. The woman entering my information Zenobia was getting an attitude with me because she was not listening to the corrections that had to be made on the ticket. I was sending back a $10 piece of plastic and she took it upon herself to put a value of $800 on the item. My box was shipped and was being held and still is still being held at the UPS facility because of a tax of $150 that has to be paid to get the box out of customs. The people that I was shipping it back to do not want to pay this extra fee and refuse the package. It cost me $100 to ship this back and it didn't even get to the people that it was supposed to. All because she took it upon herself to enter incorrect information. I called the store to get a manager to help me situate this problem and I was told they were on vacation and nobody could help me.When I called UPS corporate they had to call the store and demand the associate to resend documentation showing a new value. Needless to say my package is still undelivered and my hundred dollars is wasted. This location has no customer service skills and once they take your money they don't want to be bothered with any issues that arise. UPS corporate should shut this franchise down as it is a bad representation of them. read more

This store is the worst! We sent a large box to Cancun, Mexico for my son's wedding. It cost over $400 to ship. It never made it to our hotel, was held up in customs. We repeatedly called the store for help, and they were unwilling to do anything on our behalf, including calling UPS international. Extremely poor customer service. Eventually, after the trip (and the wedding), the package was released from customs but UPS wanted us to pay over $400 to ship it back. The owner hides behind his young employees, refusing to get involved or help in any way. My husband eventually went into the store to speak to the owner directly, and he STILL refused to help in anyway. This situation was not entirely their fault, but the fact that he was unwilling to stand behind us and help in any way is a disgrace. Totally unprofessional. Good customer service keeps people coming back, apparently he doesn't understand this. I would NEVER recommend this UPS store, EVER. read more
