Garden Gate Flower Shop did a great job on creating two flower sprays & the cost was reasonable…read morethat I ordered for my father's funeral, but it was such an UNEXPECTED surprise! Please let me tell you why...Because I live out of state I couldn't get to the Flower Shop until 3 days before the funeral, which included the weekend, to order the funeral flowers. It was short notice for the order and the Owner Stacy said she could get all of the flowers EXCEPT for the white spider mums and the red gerbera daisies. I had a picture of the flower spray on my phone that I wanted, and in my opinion, the spider mums and the red gerbera daisies along with the red roses were what made this spray especially beautiful and without them it would not stand out as I had hoped! I sadly accepted the fact that Stacy would have to substitute the spider mums and the red gerberas with similar flowers and I was truly disappointed when I left the shop that day. To make matters worse, later that afternoon I called Stacy at the flower shop and asked if she could add an additional ribbon to the spray that had, "Great Papa" written on it. She told me she could add a ribbon that had "Great Grandpa" written on it (one that she already had in her shop) but her employee who made the ribbons was ill & so I couldn't get the specialized ribbon. Again, I was very disappointed. So, on the day of the funeral, TO MY GREAT SURPRISE, I walked into the funeral home to see the most beautiful red and white flower casket spray and vertical spray on & near my father's casket that included the white spider mums and the red gerbera daisies! And to top it off the third ribbon on the casket spray had "Great Papa" written on it just as I had requested. I was elated and very thankful - Stacy pulled off what seemed impossible by calling around to several florists to get the flowers I wanted as well as the special ribbon! Thank you, Stacy! This store was and is very poorly run, management of the Patio & Garden (Eric) is rude, our order…read more(which we spent a lot of money on all) was good, but the last part of the order has been late for several days, 5+. When we call or stop by, it is blamed on UPS, which Home DePot refers to as the Vendor. Eric could have cared less and wasn't interested in finding out why our order was late or when it was going to arrive. When I received the tracking #, I did in fact call UPS to find out why our order was delayed. My point is that Home DePot should have been finding out why our order was late, where it was at, when it was going to be delivered to Home DePot, and not the customers. I told Eric, a very rude and condescending man, I was going to make it known the poor experience we have endured all week with Home Depot (Patio & Garden), and he said since I was "threatening", he hung up on me. All I said was I was going to make it known the poor experience. Guess he can't handle when they're wrong and rude as well. This is the second bad experience with Home DePot. We will never, ever do business with them again. UPS was very helpful. Once Corporate opened, I did inform Ricardo of the Corporate Office of the treatment we've received, especially from Eric. We still have not received our completed order yet. Oh, and Home Depot should let customers know before purchasing they deliver to your property such as the driveway, but are not allowed inside or around the property, even if it is heavy such as our order and appliances. You are on your own. UPDATE: May 19, 2025: Since we were told we would be notified when our order came in and it was supposed to be today according to UPS, not Home DePot, of course, I called at 2:00 Central Time, and the clerk at the front desk said our order has been sitting in a corner at the Customer Service Desk for the last two hours, so around noon. She "found" a note that said to call, text, or email us to notify us our order was ready for pick up and none of these were done. Once again, I had to call. I'll be so glad this is the last time we ever step foot in this store again.

I could buy more, but food, the mortgage, etc... Chris, the owner, is an incredible woman and savvy business owner. She is warm and welcoming. It's obvious from the second you walk in that she takes great care curating the items she sells. The way the items are arranged makes it fun to browse, and she never pressures you. Often there are only one or two of something, so what you see changes every time you visit and there is always something new to tempt you. Chris has exquisite taste, and she is clearly committed to choosing high-quality products that often are locally made. She knows about the owners and artists, which really adds to the shopping experience. I've brought someone with me each time I've visited. It's a pleasure to introduce people to this charming store.
