It's pretty big inside, with most of its seating having a bird's eye view of the mechanical bull. You read that right. You can come here and test your staying power! Lol So you can often see large parties dining in and taking part in the party atmosphere, themed late nights or game viewing options on the big screens. I prefer to sit at the long bar. I just always get faster service there. They also have a $10 pitcher deal that's so worth it! The wings and fries never fail! read more

I live super close to UBar and this was my first visit! A friend and I was out on a school night and decided we didn't want the night to end. We stopped in and the place was not crowded, great music was playing in the background. Just a nice vibe. My wings.... I got some version of honey hot was delicious. My friend got the burger which she enjoyed. I'm adding this to my list of places I could come on a weeknight and just chill. Not sure if I could take the weekend crowds. FYI parking was easy breezy. Ok this is my first time at this venue. I didn't get a chance to taste the food. Because It was close to closing. But my drink was good. I had a long island. And I'll try the food next time. I got my drink pretty quick the service fast and many ounces relaxing. They have a mechanical bowl, a DJ booth and a separate bar in the back. read more

This place is a little shady and I would not recommend. I'd call this place the ghetto hooters. Not very attractive workers walking around in lingerie. It's usually not a good sign when you get carded at the door and then the "security guard" asks to pat you down. I think he just wanted to cop a feel because unless I had a weapon up my butt it wasn't very possible to be packing, but I digress. The drinks were way over priced. A rail mixer shouldn't cost $9.50. Also, be aware they charge you a gratuity before you add a tip (scammer alert). Also, not sure they notified you of that anywhere, I only figured it out because I asked for an itemized receipt. Asked for a game to be turned on and it took a third ask (and had to ask someone else) for someone to actually attempt to change the tv. Which resulted in a "we don't have that" response. If you are trying to be a sports bar you should actually have the mainstream sports packages (especially for your charges). Ordered a burger medium rare. I've grown to learn that if a burger takes a while to come out it's most likely overcooked. Sure enough mine was. I immediately cut it open and showed it to the bartender and told her it wasn't medium rare. She replied to me that it was. The picture of the half I didn't eat is attached. Food wasn't good, service horrible. We went because the advertised .25 cent wings in Tuesday's and got there and they claim not to do that any more. We ordered a $10 pitcher and then wanted another one and the girl said it's $25 NOT WORTH IT. This place has definetly gone down hill. It's plenty of other places to try. So visited 11/13 for some dinner. Boneless lemon pepper chicken was good . Teriyaki salmon taste like it had bbq sauce on it . It was ok . Sweet potatoes taste old . Mac and cheese was old and crusty . my friend had fried fish , he said it was ok . Again old sweet potatoes and broccoli that was all stems . Bill was $70 dollars minus alcohol. I went to the Ubar with my friends to celebrate my bestie's birthday, Friday night. It was an impromptu decision while eating dinner earlier that night in College Park. My friend called the Ubar first to confirm if there was a cover fee and the person that answered the phone said no. We arrived around 10:30 PM and there was no parking left in their section of the shared parking lot, so we parked in the section of the parking lot that is closer to Regions Bank and T Mobile. Security was present in the parking lot and inside and it made things feel safe. There were no boots on anyone's cars once we left the bar either! We were checked by security and there was no cover fee. I visited the location years ago before the pandemic and remember being charged $20 after 10:30 PM. I was happy to not be charged this time, especially after our experience. Once inside, we struggled with finding a place to stand. It was crowded. My friend put our name on the waiting list for a table (party of 6), because we wanted to order drinks (and the bday girl wanted a hookah) and stood by the bar initially. The music was your typical rap, r&b, occasional throwback, with a hint of soca here and there with music videos playing on the TV screens and commentary from the djay as women rode the mechanical bull. We ordered drinks at the bar. Their drinks are on the pricier side now, but I guess that's understandable for the area and with the free entry now. Drinks ranged from $16 -$19 and the Hennessey shots were $11. My Hulk (Hennessey and hypnotic) was $16 before gratuity and it was strong, not necessarily good, but not nasty! My friends' Patron margarita was $19, Hennessey and pineapple was $19, and crown and coke was $17. There seemed to be no one monitoring the empty tables because I counted at least six that were empty with old food, drinks, or hookah sitting on them. For that reason, I recommend arriving early to grab a table, making a reservation in advance AND not wearing heels! This environment is casual, even if you are celebrating. Half of my friends were uncomfortable because they came with heels on and we were never seated by the staff. We even followed up after over an hour of waiting and were told that were working through the list. There were three waitlist sheets and they never got to our sheet, while we were there. We ended up seating ourselves near the exit at a table towards the patio and sharing two chairs. The bday girl bought her hookah and brought it over herself from the bar for $35. We danced and had our mini turn up, making the most of it and ended up leaving before 1 AM. Overall, the experience was okay. I would return again but arrive a little earlier and reserve a table in advance if I wanted to sit with my group. My advice to the staff is to do better with monitoring the tables because I am sure that their wait staff is missing out on potential food and drink orders and tips. I need to make this clear, this restaurant is not for everyone. If you looking for a good vibe this is a place to go. It is chill and you get a really good meal. Highly recommend the fried devil eggs. It's exactly how it's described. My husband loved the blackened catfish. He can't stop talking about all the flavor, and is mad he couldn't finish. Now the food and drinks are what made me give it this many stars. Like I said it's a vibe, but not a quick vibe. If you want to just chill and casually drink, this is the place for you. However if you trying to get a tipsy, it may take you some time. The service is slow, and food takes a little bit. I'm assuming that's a primary reason business has been slow. I should've left when I saw the empty parking lot. This comment might be deleted, but that's ok. I'm posting my full review on Yelp, Trip Advisor, and other impactful platforms. Hopefully management makes some much needed changes. Janiya (our server) could benefit from additional customer service and server training. Her attention was less on her customers and more on dancing, smoking hookah, and attending to her phone. To be clear, I don't mind those things. However, your tables should be priority. There were literally 3 tables. Our food took long. The appetizer was cold and delivered with our entrees. No apologies from our server. Just a smug attitude. She displayed rude and entitled behavior. There was a point in time when we were guaranteed to enjoy some delicious lemon pepper wings and overall vibe. Unfortunately those days have passed! We went out of our way this past weekend and it was a total waste. The size of the wings is simply laughable at this point. The lemon pepper "recipe" or maybe it was the ingredients has definitely changed. You are required to close out your tab after each purchase, which does not encourage you to stay beyond the first drink and/or meal. Oh.. I tried to order the Braised Beef and Turkey Ribs but they weren't available, I settled for the oxtails w/rice and they were good. My best friend had the potato skins and she said they were alright. They don't have drink specials so we settled w/Lemon Drops (Tito's) and they were perfect! The bathroom definitely gives a club feel but I was under the impression this was a hookah lounge. I dont smoke Hookah but I overheard that they actually use new "tubes" each hookah purchase. Hubby and I ate here today. First off, they didn't open until noon, even though the hours on the door say 11, as well as when you call, it says 11. The food: overall was good. I had salmon, spinach, mac & cheese. The spinach was delicious, the mac & cheese needed salt, the salmon was okay. We also got the appetizer sampler. The wings were okay, the fried green tomatoes were awesome, the mozzarella sticks were basic, chicken tenders were okay & I didn't eat the loaded potato skins because they had pork on them. Hubby says that his food was okay. The red beans and rice would have been better separate, (rice by itself & beans by itself) broccoli didn't seem properly steamed, steak was perfectly charred, seasoned and tender. Just be aware that you don't receive a steak knife with your steak. Only plastic utensils. The atmosphere: was tolerable. The music was not to loud. The article of clothing, worn by the waitresses, are not for young children to see in person. Our waitress was very polite and very attentive. Parking: didn't have a problem with since we got there when they opened. I can however see it being a problem as there are other businesses in the same plaza. We spent $95.63 for the lunch. I'll never go back!!! Food is pretty good and servers are cool. However the cooks are very slow, waited over 40 minutes for a burger when there was no other customers there. The part that got me is that they charge four different taxes to your bill, Ive never seen this before in my life! Regular tax, liquor tax, service tax, and credit card tax/surcharge. On top of that an automatic gratuity charge is added after, not before, all of those taxes are added to your bill. This has to be a criminal offense and the Owner should be held accountable.
