I've been going to Dr. Ohkawa for a decade now and can't say enough about his skill, painless touch…read moreand personal demeanor. Best dentist I've ever encountered. He's also assembled a great office staff, from the hygienists to the front desk. I drive past his office every day and the parking lot is full, so it may not be easy to get in, but it's well worth the effort.

I had a major concern about an insurance claim and payment for on going treatment, she took it in some strange paranoid way, completely misunderstood my questions, judged my tone, and then without my knowledge recorded my conversation with her as if I was her enemy. She would not hear me out and was very unhelpful to me as a patient, and as a neighbor. I was a patient of Dr Wartella who was at this location, for 10 years, when Dr Wartella sold his practice to Dr Ohkawa , I was happy to continue going there for my family's dental care. Because of his wife's self centered and uncaring demeanor, she insulted me and my wife, accused me of being rude to her, even though I tried to explain my concern, all she wanted to do was dismiss me, and she removed me mid treatment because I had a question about my insurance. Unfortunately for Dr Ohkawa she runs his office, my advise to any and all is to be aware of her unprofessional, uncaring and very disturbing treatment of patients, I had heard this from others that they stopped going there because of her, I disputed what I was hearing from those people, I would always speak very highly of the Dr and his dental staff. Now I would have to advise you to avoid this Dental practice. Too bad....

Title: Exceptional Tour and Truly World-Class Spirits…read more My visit to the Hudson House Distillery was an outstanding experience, elevated by a personal tour with the founder, Charles. The location itself is breathtaking, set in a beautifully restored historic mansion right on the Hudson River. However, the real highlight was getting a behind-the-scenes look at their distillation process. Charles was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate as he walked us through their production of rye, bourbon, gin, and vodka. A must-try is their vodka, which Charles proudly explained is distilled a remarkable 12 times. I can confidently say it is the best vodka I have ever sampled--exceptionally smooth. I was also impressed by their other spirits: Northwest Passage Gin: This gin stands out because it uses naturally soft water sourced directly from their artesian wells. Black Creek Bourbon: I was fortunate enough to sample a limited Founder's Batch of this bourbon. It is truly hand-crafted, made using limestone-softened natural artesian well water. The depth of care and quality put into every bottle is evident, and the personal details shared by the founder made the spirits taste even better. If you have the chance, I highly recommend asking for the tour--it provides an incredible appreciation for the craftsmanship at Hudson House Distillery.

Very cool distillery and restaurant in the Hudson Valley. I can't really speak to the service…read morebecause I was there with a large group of college alumni (nearly one hundred folks). But the food was so well prepared that it should be recognized. We started with a very tasty pork belly bao with hoisin sauce. Their house salad was a very well presented and interesting salad. But they knocked it out of the park with their entrees: roasted branzino with asparagus in a beurre blanc sauce and a strip steak served on a bed of caramelized onions and mushrooms in a bordelaise sauce. In particular, the steak, ordered medium rare, came out tender and perfectly cooked, and was of very high quality. Finally the sticky toffee pudding cake was served warm and was delicious. I would highly recommend the food here. Kudos to the chef!

The shop offers everything you want or need: comfy seating, warm environs, genuinely friendly and attentive service, delicious from-scratch foods and beverages, and good prices. The trays of homemade baked goods coming straight out of the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful, too. Hudson Roastery is really good at what it does. I highly recommend it!

Incredibly bummed, especially seeing all the positive press around the quality and the sourcing…read morethey claim to approach business with, that quite a lot of the food being served was from SYSCO or another large similar restaurant supply vendor, ordered by the case and baked from frozen. Now first off, don't get me wrong, buying in bulk or sacrificing the quality of some ingredients to large suppliers like this is definitely a reality when running a restaurant. Even moreso in this day and age when ingredient prices are exorbitant. That said, it needs to be reflected in the price point. Pastries are arranged beautifully under cloches in the display case, but I could spot the premade, ready-to-bake spinach feta bistro (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/QZ119984/) or ham and cheese croissant (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/99971/) from a mile away. The avocado spread on the preassembled breakfast sandwiches is definitely the pulp from the 3lb bag from Chef's Warehouse too. I know that taste! All of that said, they had a few items in the case that I'm sure weren't from one of these big vendors. Which was great to see. My (yes, unsolicited!) advice would be to pare down the menu. Offer just a bit less so you can focus on the quality. Try and tap into some local producers if you can! That's one of the best things about the Hudson Valley... how much all the purveyors and markets and cafes support each other. It's clear too how much they care about the community. They're dog friendly inside. No WiFi to encourage people to chat with one another. Fine. I really want to see this place continue to thrive, it's just a bit of a bummer that a significant part of the menu including things that really should be fresh, aren't.
