Tutoring Club, however, was very inclusive and accommodating from the start. I have the highest regard for Anil and his son, who run this center. They are soft-spoken, humble, polite, and--most importantly--very understanding and flexible. Before joining, both of my kids had difficulties with comprehension and writing. While it took some time, the dedicated tutors at Tutoring Club made a real difference. Their efforts helped strengthen my kids' reading and writing skills, which clearly showed in their most recent CAASPP scores. I credit the Tutoring Club for this progress. If you're looking for a tutoring center that is not only effective but also INCLUSIVE and supportive, Tutoring Club is truly worth exploring. I would recommend them anytime, to anyone.

The owner Anil is the greatest when it comes to making the kids feel welcomed and seen and he's great with communicating with the parents. Both kids have always been tutored for math, and just recently I reached out to see if Tutoring Club tutors chemistry - and they do! Anil and team, thank you for giving the kids confidence in their subjects as they navigate through the San Ramon school system. I am grateful to have you help the kids with things I know I can't do and I'm blessed to be able to lean on you guys with helping my kids.

At $150 (or more or less depending on the promotion), I think the assessment itself is worth doing even if you don't end up purchasing their tutor services. After reviewing results, they sell you an intimidating package. I say intimidating because at $75/hour for 1-on-1 tutoring, a 60-80 hour plan becomes a very significant expenditure, but if like me you know your kid needs it then it's worth it. They typically will recommend coming at least twice a week to start, and there's a detailed lesson plan with multiple workbooks for vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing (for English, but they also have math tutoring). One thing I really like are the monthly check-ins where the center director Mona shares exactly what the kid is working on, how much progress, and upcoming lessons. They're also very flexible and accommodating regarding schedule changes, your concerns about the direction of learning or progress, etc. I feel like it's pricey but you do get what you paid for, and actually the rate is reasonable considering it's private tutoring. After the initial package runs out, you'll be able to purchase hours at a little more discount. Anyway, given my son's condition we'll probably be with the center as long as he has homework to do.

Our experience with Pups and Tots Village transportation service was unfortunately quite stressful…read moreover time, especially considering the children involved are elementary-aged. One of the biggest issues was the inconsistency with drivers and pickup coordination. Different drivers would arrive frequently and elementary office staff often had to step in and help monitor safe release of children because it became difficult to track who was picking up whom. In my opinion, this placed an unfair burden on school staff, whose responsibility should not be managing transportation confusion created by an outside vendor. There were also multiple safety concerns. At times, children were seated in the front seat and booster seat usage appeared inconsistent unless parents specifically noticed it from the daily photos being shared. Operationally, the process often felt disorganized. Children were sometimes made to wait at school for another child's ride coordination before everyone could leave together, causing delays in reaching after-school care and starting lunch, despite already being tired and hungry after elementary school. Communication, scheduling updates, policies, reminders and even fee-related information were handled primarily through WhatsApp. As working parents already managing multiple school and childcare platforms, relying on WhatsApp chats for operational policies felt difficult to keep track of and not very parent-friendly. Whenever concerns were raised, I personally found the owner, June Dhar, to be defensive rather than solution-oriented. Despite raising concerns multiple times and giving the service several chances, I was ultimately advised that if their system did not align with my needs, I could discontinue the service, rather than seeing meaningful attempts to address the concerns being raised. Even a small late-fee issue required repeated follow-ups and responsibility being passed around before a response was received. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage parents to ask detailed questions upfront regarding driver consistency, transportation procedures, communication systems, safety protocols and scheduling expectations before enrolling their child.

While picking up my child from middle school, I briefly stopped in the red zone because I was not feeling well and currently have a fever. Within seconds, the business owner, Mr. Siva, approached my vehicle aggressively, yelling and cursing loudly in front of my children and other students. He was not law enforcement or school staff, yet his behavior was intimidating, hostile, and completely inappropriate for someone running a business centered around children and education. My children were genuinely frightened by the interaction. Regardless of parking frustrations, there is never an excuse to speak to parents that way in front of children. What concerns me even more is that Mathnasium as a brand chooses to franchise locations to individuals who conduct themselves in this manner. It seriously makes me question the professionalism, judgment, and values of the company as a whole. Because of this experience, I will be taking my children to another math tutoring center moving forward.

I ended up signing up for the bridge the gap program and writing program. It was advertised for 30 hours. It's a week program - and when you sign up - I signed up for 9-12 ( 3 hours)--- so I figured the "30 hours" was for 2 weeks. I will show screen shots. The business owner told me when signing up to give my sons email. Days before -- no email on what to bring. I messaged Anshika, the business owner and asked her what to bring. She said no need to bring anything -- and that the class is now 9:30-11:30. So class is cut down 1 hour. This weeks class is only 4 days - which would mean it's 8 hours of instruction. She explained that most kids can not sit that long and that her teachers are highly qualified and that we are paying a cheap price for what we are getting. She said she would give us the extra hour for free-- even though our receipt indicates the class is 9-12. $335 is not cheap for a 4 day class. First day of class- we are the only participants in this class. We are told that my son has huge gaps and that his writing is messy. 2nd day - I mention that he does have adhd but he has ok grades. He is not disruptive and he is willing to learn. 30- 45 mins later - I get a call that because I am unsatisfied with the program that she will credit me and that I can pick up my son at anytime. She said they are not equipped to teach someone who has adhd and to mention it on Yelp. I was credited my full amount for both classes that I signed up. I do not recommend this business. They have highly qualified teachers that are not willing to teach someone who has learning gaps per the owner. The owner should not be in customer service.

Class management was satisfying, teacher assistant reported to us how well she was doing, so we could keep tracking her progress. Later, we had a counseling meeting with their counselor and agreed that extracurricular was important but also her weakness since we didn't know much about how and what to do was good for her. Then we joined IvyMax's counseling program. I have to say, this one year so far, overall is good, even though not all the time being extremely satisfying, they have been adjusting and coordinating, willing to listen and communicate. My daughter now enjoys participating in their students actives. They have provided many volunteering opportunities and encouraged my daughter to try and challenge. I have seen how my daughter have changed!
