Really quick, helpful service, ordered via email/online, was VERY impressed when I picked up my engraved medals. Good pricing, too.

I asked for a pair of pearl earrings with a lock device so this wouldn't happen. We were told at the time of purchase that they may not arrive prior to Christmas and I really can't remember if they did or not but they did arrive at some point The pearl earrings I received had a pink tint to them and were also almost too large compared to my 7mm pearls. I felt a little too shameless wearing them and didn't really care for the pink tint but I kept them...my husband had bought them for me and paid $698.60 for them...I couldn't bring myself to return them. After having them for a short time I was driving somewhere and kept feeling something like a pebble under my foot while driving. When I arrived to my destination I searched for the pebble and to my astonishment it was one of the pearls that had fallen off the post. I was very relieved to find that I still had both parts and returned to Jensen Jewelers to have them repaired. I had never had a problem with any of my post earrings before and at the time of purchase thought paying for a warranty was frivolous so I ended up paying $75 to have them repair. When I picked them up from the repair they were a different set of pearls. They were the same large size but I now had white pearls. I was a happy girl. After a time of wearing them one day I was taking them out and again the post and pearl separated so again I was at Jensen Jewelry to get them fixed. Another $75.00. My husband picked them up and when the salesperson demonstrated the locking device the post fell out, yet again. The salesperson said she would fix them and to come back the next day which he did. When I put them in it was evident immediately that these were a different size of pearl although they were still white. I called and spoke to the salesperson and she immediately started speaking over me justifying the earrings. We finally came to the agreement that I would bring them up to show her. We had a lengthy conversation when I arrived and that's when I found out all the mistakes we had made at the initial purchase. I was asked if I had a picture of the original purchase. Of course I didn't..who would? It all came down to the green original purchase receipt that only says "Special Order-14kw 8mm pearl studs with protecktor(that is how it is spelled) backs" after she spoke to the people above her about how to handle the situation. The lessons I learned through this is when purchasing a gem make sure the original receipt shows the size of the gem and take a picture of them while being measured inside the ruler like device they use. Make sure you have the quality of the gem stated (stone's color, its clarity, its cut and its carat weighting). Pearls also have there own GIA 7 Pearl Value Factors and knowing where they were harvested is important. Have any and all relevant information written down on your receipt.
