The Trailerzone has great reviews for new trailer sales but the service department is terrible, dishonest and crooked. I have a dump trailer that had a blinker that had gone out and the brakes weren't working properly. After speaking to Rudy he suggested rewiring the entire trailer due to the age of the wiring. I agreed and approved the work. The work was supposed to be done in a couple of days. After 2 weeks and several phone calls I was told my trailer was ready. I went to pick it up and pay for it and after hooking it up I realized the blinker still did not work. Rudy swapped it out and it seemed to work. No sooner had I gotten on the freeway and and I had a trailer blinker warning message. It was at this point the brakes did not work either. After getting home and looking at the wiring it was just cut and spliced, it was not rewired as I had asked for and paid for. The next morning I took the trailer back to Rudy, he said the problem was with the truck wiring and not the trailer although I tested it with 2 different trucks that are factory wired and have no issues with my other trailers. We I asked Rudy about returning some of my money since he charged me to rewire trailer and just spliced some new wires where visible. We recently purchased a 4-passenger off-road vehicle (Yamaha Rhino) from friends who live in Arizona. The vehicle is a highly customized off-roader and is wider than the standard vehicle. We began looking for a used trailer on Craigs List and various other used item sites. We also searched local trailer dealers and other stores that carry flat bed trailers. Unfortunately, most of them were not wide enough to accommodate our vehicle. About 3 weeks ago we found The Trailer Zone listed in Craigs List and decided to drive from Orange County to Wildomar to check out what they had in stock. We were met by Dalton Steele (General Manager) and explained our dilemma. He knew exactly what we needed, was willing to make a couple of changes (added a spare tire mount and upgraded the tires). We wrote up the order, he didn't even ask for a deposit. He said he'd call when the trailer came in. Last week Dalton called, said our trailer was in, asked us to e-mail him some information for the DMV and he'd have it ready for us when we arrived. Dalton was true to his word, the trailer came in exactly as ordered (he even upgraded the tires above what we paid for). Our experience with Dalton was above and beyond what we would expect for such a simple purchase. Dalton and his staff were courteous, professional and very easy to work with. Dalton Steele promptly returned my calls and even contacted the manufacturer, Aluma Trailer, in Iowa to be my advocate in getting a substantial rebate on my purchase! Because I needed my trailer on short notice and Dalton had just sold the trailer I needed, he made arrangements for me to pickup my trailer at the factory. Very happy with these guys. After having a bad experience with another local trailer repair shop I brought my boat trailer here. Rudy worked on it even though it is not the typical stuff they work on (32' boat). He called me multiple times to keep me informed of the progress. Even though there was some tricky issues with my trailer he was able to get it repaired and only charged me two hours labor (and parts). Angelina in the office was also very nice. My experience with The Trailer Zone was this: I went to the website and found the trailer I wanted. Compared with prices at other sites, The Trailer Zone had the best deals. They also mentioned on the site that I could customize the trailer, so I sent them an e-mail. The next day, Dalton contacted me and we went over the features of the trailer I wanted. I told him what upgrades I needed, and he said it would take four weeks for my trailer to arrive. I ordered a Playcraft 5x8 utility trailer (this particular manufacturer is in Arizona), and sent in my down payment. Four weeks later, Dalton called and said my trailer had arrived. I drove to Wildomar and picked it up. It had all the upgrades I wanted. Dalton took care of the paperwork quickly, helped me hook it up to my vehicle and I was on my way back home. The Trailer Zone deals with only a couple of trailer manufacturers. These manufacturers make quality equipment at a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a trailer, whether it is made of steel or aluminum, whether it's for hauling gardener equipment, boats or cars. They'll get you what you need at an affordable price, and you'll be very happy with the build quality. One other note: They accept the major credit cards, but if you use one they'll have to charge you an additional 3%. I paid with a check. I want to start this review by explaining my situation, I am the father of 3 boys that my partner and I have fostered and now have adopted, when they first came to live with us we started going to the desert with my family and as a new family we really started to have a blast going but we did t have any toys yet, so we borrowed toys and trailers from friends, after a season we decided we needed to start buying our own toys, so I started going thru Craigslist and came across "Trailer Zone's" add, they had a 4 seat sand toy for sale, me and the boys went and looked at it and loved it, it was perfect for us so we decided to buy it, Dalton was very attentive to my needs and set up the perfect financing for me and we took it home, at that moment I picked it up on a borrowed trailer, and a week later decided we needed to buy a trailer so I called Ralph up and told him what I was looking for, he had it in stock and we were able to pick it up immediately, and now me and the boys are having a blast on our own toys not someone else's. I went into trailer zone on a Monday with an idea of what I wanted. Dalton showed me a selection of car carriers that would meet my needs and I decided on a Playcraft Champion. Due to my wife carrying the check book I returned with her on Wednesday to complete the transaction and pick up the trailer. We needed a trailer to haul our floor cleaning machine. After looking online we found The Trailer zone right down the freeway. They have a large inventory of utility type trailers. From open landscape type to large enclosed auto. We ended up ordering a small enclosed with drop down rear door. Dalton took care of everything, said it would take about 3 weeks to make. With weather issues delaying delivery, ended up being about a month plus for us to get. Came as expected, seems to be good quality for a good price.
