This place is a joke. Boat trailer came unhooked from the sons truck and drug on highway. He got it up and going again and I called The Trailer Shop to check out a couple things. Trailer brakes were locking up in reverse and needed the brake break away cable replaced along with check it for damage.
First mobile trip, mechanic goes out to lake, inspects it and orders the cable and says he checked the circuit to the reverse solenoid so the solenoid must be bad, do ordered one of those also.
Second mobile trip, son was in a tournament, so we told them right where key was so they could work on it. They go all the way out there and won't work on it because lot is muddy (it's raining) and they won't move the truck
Third mobile trip, actually son hauls boat to where it's convenient for them, but I still get charged mobile rate. They replace the cable and change the reverse solenoid. Son takes it to lake the next day and brakes are still locking up. He takes a picture of the damaged wiring from when trailer dragged and we send it to them, asking why they didn't address the shredded wires
Fourth mobile trip, mechanic fixes wires poorly. Now he doesn't have right turn signal. Mechanic says his trailer plug is bad and he don't have one.
Son drags it home from Tennessee to Missouri and puts on a new plug. Still no turn signal. So I go help him. The damn trailer turn signal fuse in the truck is blown. New fuse and turn signal works. Had to completely change out the trailer wiring harness lead because it was all jacked up by that time. Looked at the safety cables and they were 50% broke at the connections on the trailer. The mechanic really didn't bother to look at those after telling him he lost the trailer at 60mph?
Total incompetence, Cost me $1000+ with all the trips, basically replaced the break away cable, put in a reverse solenoid I don't need, did a hack job on fixing the wiring and sent son on his way with no turn signals and severely damaged safety chains. read more
