The staff and bartenders were all really nice, and the drinks were good. I also ordered fries while I was there and enjoyed them. As the night went on, the vibe kind of shifted for me. It started getting a little chaotic and more nightclub energy than I personally prefer. There was an incident involving an overly intoxicated guest that security and EMS had to handle, and it honestly changed the atmosphere toward the end of the night. One thing I also found a little strange was that some of the shots were served in small sauce/to-go cups instead of actual shot glasses. Overall, I'd probably come back during a more relaxed night or for happy hour because the service, drinks, and space itself were good. I just realized staying later into the night wasn't really my vibe, so I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

I gotta tell you, it was a trip for my hubby and I to go out with our grown kids and their spouses. We had a blast! The Hof was our last stop... parking in Scott's Addition was a pain, but we trudged thru the rain and several puddles to get in! And I'm glad we did because this place was hopping. We are old so we didn't get carded, haha! The doorman was like, yeah, your grey hair is your I.D.! We did see a few other silver heads at the bar, but mostly they cater to the 25-35 year old crowd. The music was great! If people weren't dancing in the aisles, they were "chair dancing" in the booths and at the bar. Football was on the tv, for the sports fans! At one point my daughter started a Conga line and a bunch of people joined in and we danced around the whole bar... it was a hoot! The DJ kept the songs coming, one tune melded into the next... so many 80's and 90's throwbacks! It was a good time! For drinks, several of us got the Truly hard seltzers and they were fruity and refreshing, while others got beer and cocktails. The bar tenders were in their A game. We didn't get a chance to check out the rooftop view due to the rain, so that's in the agenda next time we get a wild hair! Maybe we will try some food next time too! Lol! Apparently the capacity is 500 so be prepared to be close to others if your show is sold out! Showed up early prior to doors opening to ensure we got a good spot which is a must especially if you'd like to be close to the stage. The staff was really friendly and set up barricades by the door which helped corral the line. I loved that they had a metal detector set up and a security check point. I felt very safe and comfortable the whole time. I will say be prepared to stand for an extended period especially if you show up early. There is little to no seating available and as show time nears it is practically standing room only. So wear comfy shoes! Overall it's a nice venue and I am glad we have it as an option here in Richmond!

You get crowd but typically on smoking side for the most part. Good little hometown bar no matter your age and the staff is nothing short of awesome as well!!! When arriving no one was a the host stand to direct us to our table and the only person in Camel gear said he was a sound tech and couldn't help. There were several of us trying to get this sorted let me add Finally seated we had the same bartender come over to ask for orders. I inquired about the HH food specials that are posted at the bar Sun-Fri 3-7. The guy tells me they don't do HH on fridays. Ok... so he leaves while we browse the menu. Then another worker comes over and says sorry we double booked your table, you can't sit here. He also said, this happens all the time!! Maybe fix your system if it's an often occurrence. Yes a refund was issued but at this point the place is full, bar and all bar tables. So we stand with our drinks (3 of us) and hover by the bar looking for an opening so we can order food bc we're starving. Luckily in mins a table opens up. We sit down and wait and wait and wait. So I go to ask if there's table service or if we should order at the bar. No, there's table service. Finally the guy comes over takes our order for food. At this point from getting there to ordering it's been an hour and we are starving. We order the quesadilla, bbq tacos and cheesesteak. This takes another 45 mins.. ugh Food comes and isn't great. Tacos are super doused in bbq sauce and cheesesteak was bland. My gf is not a picky eater and she only ate one bite. The quesadilla seemed to be alright by her mom's standards. We finally get the bill, put out the card but the guy doesn't come back. My gf takes card to the bar to pay. Person 1 hands it to person 2, gf is standing there waiting to pay- never gets the bill/card back. Then person 2 asks my gf, what can I get you to drink. She says I'm trying to pay my bill, person 1 just gave it to you. Person 2 says, I don't have your card. Minutes later they determine she put it in front of another patron. Overall terrible experience. I'd still go back for a show. One that's standing room only

So far I've only been able to try the wings- they were on a limited menu during my visit since it was within an hour of closing, but I'm excited to go back. The wings are oven baked, which makes them really tender but different than what you would get at most restaurants. I tried the buffalo gold sauce and the honey bbq. Both were good, but The buffalo was not similar to traditional buffalo sauce since it is mixed with a sweet sauce. Next time I will try the Cajun buffalo. The music is really good and the drinks are strong. I really loved the Blue Margarita, but I have to say that we hated the tiki sunrise drink. Overall we had a nice time for our short visit and will definitely be back!
