They were so helpful and accommodating, even offering to let me walk through kitchen to get to the coffee side of the shop because it was raining. My wife loved the cobb salad and I loved the homemade chocolate ice cream and cookies. I even made her go back in and get me a BLT sandwich. There is one card table to sit at. No bathrooms. It takes awhile for each order because there is only one rolled ice cream machine to make each order. For four people, by the time the last person gets theirs, the first and second persons is melted. They couldn't make shakes or smoothies because there was no milk. They were out of cotton candy ice cream, cheesecake, bananas, and about a dozen other things. The soft serve machine was broken. I got peaches and cream and the peaches are so frozen (covered in ice crystals) that you can't bite into them. My husband got the strawberry shortcake and had the same problem with the strawberries, and the strawberry portion is just heavy cream mixed with hersheys strawberry syrup. The shortcake in both was a Twinkie? And who puts caramel on a strawberry cheesecake? I would give one star, but the kids working were very polite and doing great with what they have to work with.

Visiting my family farm for the first time since Covid, we came across this little parlor in Lexington, TN just 15 mins off I-40 and it was a game changer! Located in a little shopping village, it's not very big and offers limited seating and can get crowded inside, but I don't think expected a family of 10 to come calling at 8:00pm either. It's a cute place with plenty of freezers and coffee offerings. With around 18 flavors to choose from we overwhelmed the poor gal working the counter with requests for testing the unique offerings (blackberry cornbread, honey roasted pistachio, banana pudding). The ice cream is hand crafted and shipped from Nashville, so it qualifies as homemade: The ice cream itself is flavorful, creamy, and you can taste the ingredients it offers. The waffle cones are made fresh and don't taste like styrofoam like so many parlors can. I went with the banana pudding and pralines and cream but will come back for the honey roasted pistachio before I leave. At the End of the Day 10 people got an assortment of ice cream for less than $60 and that is incredible considering the quality of ice cream. It's a 5 star for the ice cream but a solid 4 for the entire experience on this visit. If you are driving around I-40 or this area it is worth your time and money to drop in!!!
