We revisted The Tiny Giant for their new Willy Wonka limited edition rainbow brioche toast with purple Marscapone, figs, blueberries and strawberries, raspberries and fairy floss. It is a must try! It is super cool and beautiful. We also shared the beautiful shakshuka hotpot of slow cooked tomato, eggs, mushroom, onion and feta. We also got the smoked salmon rainbow bagel with onions and capers. We loved these fun creations.

The food is pretty (but tastes terrible, especially the stale waffles), the coffee is excellent, and the service is mixed at best. One server (not ours), noticed that my partner had finished the meal before mine was brought out. Our server was disinterested. When I asked her to remove my plate (I had one bite of the waffle and one of ice cream), she didn't bother to ask if I had liked it or why I wasn't taking it home (either bad service or she knew the food was horrid). Also fully charged for the uneaten "meal". The coffee is quite good and would be the only thing I would want to come back for. But, if you want instagram worthy food this is a good spot.

Today was International Coffee Day and what better way to celebrate it then visiting one of Zomato's International Coffee Day 2016 collection cafes. It was a gorgeous day and the sun was out so decided to go for a walk to a local cafe. This was part of the complimentary coffee promotions so all was looking up today! It is a cosy cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and since it was a beautiful day, I chose a seat outside. I was warmly greeted and sat down straightaway and given a menu and table water. Service is here so friendly and professional. The cafe was buzzing with lots of early morning locals getting their weekend caffeine fix or something delicious to eat. I ordered a Latte and it was wonderfully smooth. They serve Campos coffee here. I also had a Prosciotto & Egg Roll. It was simply done but it tasted wonderful. I especially enjoyed the confit onion jam which added a lovely sweetness to the roll and the oozy egg yolk was just right. The menu might not be the most extensive but from what I gathered the diners were eagerly enjoying their meals. If you have happen to be in the area or passing by, this cafe is definitely a place to stop at. Glad I read {Gabbys79} review as so spot on!

The Tiny Giant Petersham is a small cosy neighorhood cafe serving all-day-breakfast, Australian style and fresh coffee by Campos. Try their signature Belgian waffle topped with whimsical pink cotton candy which is one of the most iconic menus here. Delicious (a tad pricey) coffee made with Campos, fresh wraps, sandwiches & cronuts available for dine in or take-away. Full story's up on my blog :)

The nearby car park gives 1 hour free parking so it's easy to pop by for brunch or lunch. It's a lovely view of the city scape and boats in the harbour and you can enjoy your breakfast up on the deck of the converted waiting hall / shipping container, or on a lounge by the water. This time we opted for the couches and made friends with a nearby diners French bulldog. It's certainly a dog friendly spot. You can also sit inside if the weather isn't suitable with beautiful styling, nautically themed with blue striped cushions, decorative ropes and anchors. We loved this place last time, so we were keen to try their new menu. The menu has a more varied amount of choices at brunch. There's sweets, salads and some regular and ever popular choices. The mozzarella with avo, perfectly place on sourdough with greens and pomegranates, heirloom tomatoes and and a soft poached egg was beautiful. The roast pumpkin salad with grains, Persian feta, heirloom salad, avocado, confit onion, Pepita dukkah and herbs is the kind of dish I'd enjoy every day. Super healthy and refreshing and the pumpkin was perfectly cooked. For a sweet finish, we really liked the poached pear on brioche, toast with salted caramel, passionfruit cream, candied pistachio and lemon zest. We imagine this will be a very popular menu item.

Disclaimer: There are two locations of WellCo. One in Glebe and one in Leichhardt. Me and my friend didn't realize that until she was on two stopped buses later and I was waiting for her for 45 minutes confused. The food here was pretty good! We both had the avo toast with quinoa - I replaced the cheese with mushies and added salmon. I think we both could've done without the quinoa. If it was a brekkie bowl I would be totally down, but dry and topped upon my already-flavor-lacking avo wasn't the best option. I definitely could've used a lil garlic salt and some crushed pepper or chili flakes. All in all, I was able to see my bestfriend before I left and had a good sized avo toast with a juice for a decent price. At this point, I'm used to paying over $20 for toast here haha. I love it though so I can't complain. *The fresh squeezed juices here are delicious! We tried the OJ and watermelon and both were superb. Thanks Sydney, can't wait to be back and continue my food ventures one avo toast at a time.

WellCo is Leichhardts first attempt at breaking into the lucrative hipster market. On the surface…read moreit appears to work quite well, the minimalist decor and communal tables draw my inner indie towards the door and with one glance around the drinks served in jars and meals served on chopping boards made me want to stay. The problem with wellco is, once you get beyond aesthetics there isn't much more. With minimal gluten free, vegetarian and virtually no vegan options (with the exception of a leafy green salad) there isn't much that will appeal to the taste buds of the discerning customer. In their favor, they do make a delicious (bon)soy chai frappe and provide tabasco hot sauce on request.
