    Beef brisket. A must get.
    Peter A.

Really cool place to check out, not exactly in the centre of town but it's in a nice quite spot with plenty of room to move. I asked for the pulled pork roll after being told repeatedly that it was amazing and to disappointment of my empty grumbling stomach and salivating mouth they were out of burgers of all types.. I know quality has no substitute but this was a Tuesday arvo.. And you have like 7 things on your menu. Aaaanyway I ended up getting the beef brisket roll with appleslaw.. Holy egg rolls it was amazing! That first bite was like I had been punched in face with flavour and left with an amazing mixture of flavours trickling down my chin... *clears throat* The bottom line is that it was fantastic! Never thought a roll could taste that good! But having sold out of at least half your menu might not go down that well if the food wasn't so salivatingly awesome.. Ok I've gotta stop now.

All I need, good coffee and a great book!

Overall this place is way to hip for a regular hipster! It's always happening and lively! You can't be just mere human to enter into these premises, everywhere you turn there's another cool kid on the block... Oh wait... A regular looking family just entered! Phew don't feel so out of place! In saying that, the staff are friendly I think it's just the customers that think they're too cool for school! Anyhow... I had the vegan banh burger, lots of interesting flavours in that, not too sure if I'd order it again ha! The coffee was spectacular! I had three glasses in one visit, so smooth and aromatic! One wasn't going to cut it! I'll definitely be back soon to try the pull pork roll!

Green smoothie with cheesy cheese burger

Well done! The guys who opened the Baron in Castle Hill have done it again. Tucked away in the Glenhaven shops is this little gem. The tuck shop has a great friendly vibe with plenty of outdoors seating. It offers a breakfast menu however the star here are the burgers. I ordered the cheesy cheese burger along with the green smoothie to balance it all out! The green smoothie was good and not too green tasting. While the burger was served on a toasted brioche bun (the only way to serve a burger) and the meat Pattie was cooked well. It was served with seasoned chips which were extremely good. The prices were reasonable with the total coming in under $20! This is a great option for those on the hills area. Will definitely visit again when in the area! :)

Beef & bacon burger with paprika fries - YUM!

Old school tuck shop - New school coffee! I've been wanting to check out this place for a while now. Ever since I found them on Instagram! First impression? Smaller than I thought (but insty can be deceiving) however really well done. I love when you can look at a place, at its set up, design, fit out and just see that it works. It's what they were going for and nailed it! Polished isn't the outcome, but vibe is and vibe is what the tuck shop absolutely nails. You walk in and immediately in front of you is a smart hip looking counter with light bulbs hanging and a slick coffee machine immediately to your right. But when you look to your far right you see a bunch of fellas cooking in an old school grilling fit out and is reminiscent of your 1990s take away food joint. Brilliant. You order at the front and then find a table on the long communal tables (again tuck shop themed!). All your food is brought out in take away containers which is brilliant. I had the bacon and beef burger with paprika fries and the whole thing was brilliant! Brioche bun, cheddar cheese perfectly melted, a Chilli aioli, heaps of bacon and Delish real meat patty. 5/5! My picollo Coffee was well balanced, creamy and Delish also. My only criticism was that the food took awhile to come out and the gap between when my coffee came to when food arrived was quite big. Other than that really good! Overall it was like a good ol fashioned country burger joint with "A Grade" Hipster quality coffee :) Totally Unpretentious, completely on theme and bloody delicious! There is LOTS to love about the tuck shop. Definitely check it out.

    These brekafast tacos are divine!!!

I discovered this locale based on reccommendations from Yelp. It runs true to previous reviews. The breakfast taco is divine, the single origin coffee is as it should be and the staff friendly. It was quite busy on this Sunday morning, which is always a great sign. I'll be back... but next time I'll bring my friends!

It was super easy to find parking right in front which was a nice surprise. On a scorching hot day sitting outside in the sun can be a little unpleasant, but they do also have a few seating inside. Was a tad disappointed to see they no longer sell the panko buttermilk chicken burger nor the vegan banh mi, so we had to settle for the spiced grilled chicken burger and veggie sambo which can be made vegan with choice of white bread. Chicken burger was a very standard nice tasting chicken burger, not unlike any you could get at a chicken or burger shop nearby. Not saying it was bad, but definitely not worth a trek out to Glenhaven which would probably be some drive away for most people. The veggie sambo is quite basic, just a mushroom schnitty, vegan mayo and lettuce. Can't complain much in terms of taste as the schnitzel was nice, but they could make it a little more worth the $14 by adding tomatoes or something. Also the bread was huge compared to the tiny mushroom so a lot of mouthfuls were just of bread and a little mayo. Fries were nice and coffee was strong.

Good food, great coffee & friendly service. If you have kids, you could grab your coffee & food here & take the kids to the playground (next to the parking lot) for a quick play.... WIN-WIN.. :)

One of the best burgers found in the Hills. I knew this place would not disappoint. The burgers are delish and don't even get me started on their fries sprinkled with super tasty Moroccan salt (or similar). You can definitely expect a relaxed and enjoyable experience especially as it's located next to an enclosed park.

Cafe Botanica is more over grown weed than manicured garden. It needs a prune both to the structure and to the menu. The interior is reminiscent of a drab school canteen and unfortunately the menu is bland and boring (please inject a bit more excitement into it or lower prices). Paying $11 for a basic sandwich, although fresh, is far too much. Other meals go well up to $18. The cafe is situated in the grounds of Swane's Nursery (which has exquisite lawns and rows and rows of roses). There are shady trees as well as a couple of gazebos spread around the front so my tip is that you are better off packing a picnic, coming up and admiring the roses and checking out the nursery if you are travelling up to Dural for the day.

We thought we'd try a late breakfast so we placed the order at the counter as there was no table service. They have there own coffee roaster onsite which should mean good coffee but the first cup came without much flavour but reasonable milk and when we ordered a second cup it was way too HOT not great experience.

However, for me this place wasn't that special - in a nut shell, it is expensive and you really don't get what you pay for. Every dish has to have some 'exotic' ingredient to justify the price, but I'm sorry, still not worth it. Don't misunderstand me, the food is good if you are willing to pay for it. But I think the most disappointing thing was the coffee, it was weak and quite average. And I came here in the morning, which is my spiritual coffee time! And instead of reaching self-enlightenment with my cup of coffee, I just got woken up. Specifically, as after eating here, I made sure that I drove past the Baron to get a real cup of coffee. I know that I am being harsh, but when you are paying $30+ for a breakfast and coffee I except a bit more. And sadly I don't think I got it.

However inside was super cozy and the perfect place to hit out with a coffee. The kitchen was closed when we made it but a second wind for a second lunch totally could have happened. The burger sounded aahhhmazang!! The treat skim piccolo and a cheeky brownie totally hit the spot and the day was a success! The coffee was soooo good! I'm no coffee connoisseur but that cup was so smooth with some surprising character to compliment. (I'll get better with my coffee descriptions lol) They were using 5 senses beans and I'm always a fan of them I'm coming back for that burger!!
