I have had 4 cars done here - a convertible and 3 SUVs. I kept the factory tint on the rear windows of the SUV and matched the front windows. For the convertible I had all windows done including a strip on the front windshield. Their customer service is excellent, reasonable pricing with various options and workmanship even better. These guys are nice, but they had to redo my windows, do to trash under first time both sides, each time I left had new scratches on out side door paint , and a knife slash on interior plastic trim!! On my brand new 70k $$ truck, I am so pissed , I know if I went back to tell them, and they denied it happened there, I would probably lose my freedom , when they redid the bad tint they scratched the same door again !! The people at the Tint Guy are top notch! They only use 3M brand film which there are so many off-brand and no name films on the market that don't carry any sort of warranty. I had to rebook my first appt due to my vehicle being stolen out of my driveway literally the morning of the appt day. They were very understanding and were sympathetic of the situation. Once I found a new car I booked the appt to get the tint done. Arrived early and they got my vehicle in right away and finished a little earlier than the quoted timeframe. I scheduled a time with The Tint Guy online to do the front two windows and a strip across the upper front window. I went there and they explained the options that they had available and suggested the best fit for my truck. The work was finished within an hour. Bought a brand new car never washed it nor had the dealership. I get my car back to find MAJOR ! Swirls and scratches in the painted plastic pillars in-between the windows. I called and asked about that and simply got "impossible, we only use micro fiber rags and they don't scratch" well I know for a fact micro fiber will still scratch a car if it's a dirty rag. No one aside of the tint shop has touched my car. I haven't even cleaned my windows on the outside. Now I get to look at major scratching on black paint on a car that is 1 week old.... I won't be taking any more vehicles back to them. Paid $450 to get a decent tint job and a scratched up brand new car. read more

Really sucks to be honest. Wasn't willing to go darker than 50% on the windshield which is a joke. Car is 5% on the side and 15% on the rear. Asked for 25% on the front to be agreeable and they refused, gave little reasoning then the manager turned rude and hung up on my when I questioned why. Taylor, the receptionist was very kind. That manager should take a note from her and learn how to say no in a polite manner rather than rude. From a car guy perspective this place is useless since they won't go dark. Edit. Based on reading the other reviews looks like the owner/manager has a history of being rude to customer. Just find somewhere more professional to do the job. These guys aren't it. read more

We recently had the windshield and front door windows tinted on our 2018 GMC Sierra crew cab truck. The service was excellent. I arrived on time, they started on time and they finished the work on time. This is the second vehicle we've had tinted at this location. The first installation was about 1-1/2 years ago and no problems. In both vehicles we used the 3M Crystalline on the windshield and 3M Ceramic on the front door windows. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Payed 349 for ceramic tint on hatchback. Tint job was clearly rushed as window interiors were not cleaned prior to install. Rear stationary windows have bubbles (air pockets) where grit/dirt was left on windows and easily visible. Film wasn't tooled well at defrost lines as air pockets present on both sides of each line. While electric windows have not been rolled down yet, more air bubbles are present at the edges. I would have paid more or waited longer for better quality. Flea market parking lot tint job at a premium price. Also threatens legal action for bad reviews. Submitting to Yelp for flagging. read more

I recently got a new car, and needed the tint done on it. This company gave me a very reasonable quote and was extremely responsive, so I booked the job before Christmas. I came in at my scheduled time, dropped it off, and got a call when it was ready. The tint looks great, and I don't see any imperfections aside from the typical moisture that'll go away as it cures. My only issue was that when I got to work one day, I noticed that some of my interior detailing had become washed off, likely from the soap water used to apply the tint. I let them know what happened and they said to bring it back for a quick once over. 15 minutes later, everything was good as new. OK. My experience with the Tint Guy has had a rather rocky start and finish, just about. It started with my BF calling around for quotes for the 3M security film for my home. The Tint Guy offered the best price for the 3M brand of film. So about a week later, I gave Chris a call. I was told he was in a conference call, so I left a message. Did not hear back for a few days and thought it was strange. Called back again and got Chris on the line. He seemed to remember me from my voicemail and said that "one of the guys had copied my number wrong." I spoke to him about the film and asked if the quoted price was still good. Turns out that he did not figure in tax and "cost of materials," so the price was a bit more expensive, but not so much that I was put off. He said that they were having a scheduling meeting and that he would need to get back to me if the day and time I'd requested for the installation was good. He also said he would email me the estimate. Estimate never came, so I called yet again. Turns out he had my email wrong. We went over the details again as he prepared to send the estimate to my correct email address. I noticed the price he had down was higher than what we had discussed. Come to find out he had written down the measurements for my glass panels incorrectly, so the estimate was off and different from what we verbally discussed. Finally, I received via email a CORRECTED estimate. Oh, and the appointment I'd requested was good, though I would have never known if I hadn't called since he emailed the estimate and appointment booking to the wrong address, thinking it was mine. When it came time for the installation, Trevor called me just before 9, the appointment time, saying he was in traffic and would be "very late." It was raining that day, and I assured him it was no problem as I was working from home. When he arrived around 10:30-10:45, he was very apologetic and polite. He pulled out the estimate, which happened to be the first draft/incorrect estimate. I explained that Chris got my measurements wrong and showed him my copy. Thankfully, he just went along with mine. I let him get to work. Nearing the end of the installation, my eyes fell upon the box of film he'd brought into my house. It read, Glass-Gard. Glass-Gard. Not 3M, the brand we'd talked about and what was on my estimate. I knew nothing about Glass-Gard, so I quickly Googled it and found out it was a 3M competitor. It seemed to be reputable, so I waited till Trevor finished and asked casually, "So you guys use Glass-Gard instead of 3M?" He replied that they use 3M film more for commercial sites and that the supplier for Glass-Gard was physically closer to their business, therefore the Glass-Gard film was easier to obtain. I accepted this explanation and inquired about the warranty, which on the paperwork it said that the installer would give me the warranty. He said that it would come in the mail. OK, fine. I waited about two weeks for the warranty and it never came. Emailed Chris, who said he would look into it. After a couple of days, he said he contacted 3M and it would come in the mail directly from them. I replied and said that it was actually Glass-Gard that was installed, so that may be why 3M rejected the request for the warranty. Again, he said he would look into it. He emailed me saying that the day of my installation, the 3M film I'd wanted was out of stock. In those cases, they use an alternate product of equal or greater value. He assured me that Glass-Gard has a better warranty and is more expensive than 3M. I don't know about this, so I just accepted it. But it makes me wonder, who was telling the truth, Trevor or Chris? Their website makes no mention of using Glass-Gard. In fact, 3M's logo is plastered all over it, so it leads one to believe that they exclusively use 3M. If it is true Glass-Gard is superior to 3M, why not plaster Glass-Gard's logo on the website? He also said a copy of the warranty had been sent and that the employee that normally handles the warranties is on maternity leave. I appreciated the explanation. Soon after, I received the warranty. It was filled out by Trevor, who did the installation. He had spelled Chris' name wrong as the contact name. I was a bit concerned because there was a capitalized, bold disclaimer on the warranty that noted if any information on the warranty was incorrect, it would make it invalid. I scanned an image of the warranty and sent it to Chris with a politely-worded email explaining the situation and requesting he send me a corrected one. He wrote back soon after with a rather curt reply that basically said "Don't worry about it. It's valid." TL;DR They seem to make a lot of errors, so be on top of things and make sure they get it right. They have convenient excuses/reasoning for everything, though, so take my words with a grain of salt. read more

What an amazing crew! We had a lengthy and complicated tinting job. Our building is over 40 years old, the previous tint had been applied 16 years prior, and each window was in a different tenant's office space. Our windows are old, our tint was old, and the logistics of getting the job done involved working around office workers that were trying to conduct business. We have used The Tint Guy before, and had always been happy. This was no exception. Keith was our salesman and lead installer. He gave a great impression with his can-do and upbeat attitude, the moment he walked in the door. He worked alongside Trevor and Jason for many days, spread out over weeks (our scheduling issues, not theirs) and they trucked on through many issues with old windows, with no problems. They were ridiculously accomodating. As a side note, these guys drove over an hour, through Atlanta, to our location every day. The owner, Chris, even called to check in on me, and Eddie at the office kept me abreast of all our appointments and invoicing. They were also significantly cheaper than the other two bids we received. We are VERY happy with this company and would gladly recommend them to anyone, for any type of tinting job. This used to be a great place and i've taken several cars. Very good work, good staff. Then it started going downhill. They would flat out refuse work for a variety of reasons with the explanation the owner doesn't let them do this and that. Or they would get picky about roof racks (that were nowhere near the windows). Just weird things that were never issues in the past. Eventually while trying to schedule a yet another vehicle (I buy many, its my thing), I got to meet the owner who was starring at the employee as we were talking. I was not making headway so as I questioned the owner cut in and said "we don't do daaaaaaaat because I don't like it" with a pretty whatever tone. I just walked out and have taken 3 vehicles since and 2 for retint to other places. It was a pity, as they were close and did good work. But if Im paying them top money for a job that is dictated by the owner, I don't see how that makes sense. This isn't a my way or the highway type business. Or maybe it is.
