What a great place you have for tile in Rochelle Park, NJ. The best in customer service of any tile sources I visited. Colin E. was a big help with design choices and was helpful at checkout. Colin went above and beyond in helping me get the best tiles for 2 of my bathrooms; he was outstanding, pleasant, and accommodating. What an excellent and valuable employee you have in Colin. Keep up the good work, and I hope to use your store again one day and with Colin's expert help! I love the new tile he helped me with! read more

I have never been treated so poorly by a store. I placed an order on Tuesday. Colin, the assistant manager, claimed that there was a 99% chance that the tiles would arrive on Thursday. He expected that the tiles would be shipped out by Tuesday EOD, but no later than Wednesday (which would get the tiles to me on Thursday). I took him at his word, and coordinated with my contractor so that he could show up and complete my tiling job on Thursday. I called Colin and his team on Wednesday to confirm if the order was shipped. They said not yet, but it was ready and they would be monitoring to make sure it was shipped out by Wednesday EOD. According to them, it would still show up on Thursday with that timeline. I called on Thursday to confirm if the tiles had shipped. They still hadn't shipped out, and obviously weren't going to show up on Thursday. This was an urgent matter as I'm coordinating with my contractor, and the contractor had shown up specifically to complete this tiling job. What a complete waste of our time. But Colin and his team could not be bothered. When I called the store, the associate said that Colin was busy with a truck. They couldn't be bothered to get him, and he was annoyed after I pressed them to get him on the phone urgently. The store frequently hung up on me and ignored my phone calls because they couldn't be bothered to spare 10 minutes and sort out a timeline. They were consistently arrogant and dismissive. There is clearly a systemic cultural problem at this store location. It's clear that once they make a sale, they are not concerned about customer service. They may be helpful up until the point you pay, and then after they have your money, you are just a nuisance. It's also clear that they don't understand how timelines might be important to their customers. If they were waiting on FedEx to pickup the order from the warehouse, why didn't Colin call the warehouse or FedEx to confirm timelines? The reason - he didn't want to do his job. He already made the sale, so why bother helping out a customer when they've already paid? It's just so surprising to me that this store did such a terrible job on something so simple. If they were better at doing their jobs, I could have coordinated with my contractor so we didn't waste a day on site. It's disrespectful and laughable that Colin was annoyed he had to waste 10 minutes talking to me after he wasted a full day for my contractor and me. What a joke. Also if you look at the positive reviews, they're all from 5-6 years ago. Clearly something has gone downhill with this store location. read more

We were renovating our bathroom and were looking for exactly what this place is. Huge selection and nice large showroom displaying many options because my wife and I usually don't know what we want before we see it. We worked with a few salespeople who were great over a few visits and finally decided what we wanted. The shower tile was to be back-ordered until the salesman, Alex, said that because of the amount we were ordering it would be in May 20th (It was May 5th when we ordered). So we placed the order and planned on picking up both sets of tile on the 20th. Because the 20th was around a holiday weekend I didn't notice that the following week they hadn't called me, so I called them. I spoke to someone who said, "You know this shower tile is back-ordered right"? I said yes, but it was supposed to be in May 20th. He said, "The computer is showing JUNE 20th". He said he would look into this issue and call me right back. He never did. I called again later that day to ask why the receipt I had said that the pickup would be on May 20th if the order was supposed to come in June 20th and he then informed me that it actually looks like it won't be in until LATE JUNE now. That is where I started to get annoyed. He said they have another tile which is "identical" in a different finish if I wanted to come look at it. I asked if my floor tile was in and he said yes. So I figured I would go down there later that day and look at this "identical" tile and pick up the floor tile so at least my contractor could start on the floor. I arrived at the store where Alex greeted me and showed me this "identical" tile. It could not have been more different looking. So we decided to wait for the end of June for the tile we wanted and I would take my floor tile now. Alex came back and said that they could not find the tile in the back and it must be packed up in a pallet with another order. He recommended I pick up both tiles at the same time. I explained to him that I wanted my contractor to do the floor while I wait another month for the shower tile. He said come back and he would have it pulled out for me. I left empty handed. Two days later I called and spoke to Alex at noon-time and asked him if I was to stop over later today (around 5pm) could I pick up the floor tiles. He yes, "Yes absolutely". I said, "you found them in the pallet"? A confident "Yes" was his reply. After leaving me in the entrance of the store for about 10 minutes he came back and told me he was embarrassed to say that they still couldn't find our order. I just told him to call me when he found it. Three days later I still hadn't heard from them so I stopped by the store to cancel my order and request a refund. I then purchased a similar tile at Wayne Tile and was very happy with my purchase there, but I will never shop at The Tile Shop again. I am not sure if it was the result of an incompetent salesperson and Manager combo or the stores purchasing system together but either way I have only had a handful of shopping experiences in my life that were as bad. read more

The Tile Shop - Tiling Near Me - Rochelle Park, New Jersey

Just did a custom kitchen in my home. My contractor recommended the tile shop because of there incredible selection. I thought it was going to be a issue finding the right tile for my kitchen floor. This place has it all and the displays are incredible. I was stressed out until I met Silveria who is a senior design associate at the location. Silveria was so incredible. I showed her photos of my kitchen cabinets and within minutes she had found the perfect tile for me. Silveria also recommended a certain grout and sealer that i would need because of the color of the tile and high traffic area. I ordered the tile and it was ready for pickup two days later. My contractor Ted Rubes of wood Ridge installed the tile and it looks perfect !!! Thanks to all !!! Robert Wood-Ridge NJ read more

I loved this place!! First there are so many tiles to choose from, all in isles categorized by color and type of stone. Second the staff is friendly and very helpful. I was able to bring different samples home to really make sure they worked. After I ordered my tile, which I loved, I was able to return what I didn't use because I had to much. It was a great place which I would recommend to anyone!! read more

I had a great experience at this store. I was looking for a certain matte black glass trim tile and looked EVERYWHERE. Finally when I was about to give up, I drove from Brooklyn to this massive showroom and found it! They were able to order it 3 day shipping for me and it arrived in great shape (mounted on cardboard). If you are doing a home renovation, I highly recommend you check them out. read more

we were redoing a bathroom in our house and after visiting a few different stores, we came here and found just what we were looking for! the first thing I will note that the the lighting in the store is horrible. its different all over the store so 1 tile will look grey in 1 spot and then in another spot it will look like a different color. We were helped by Colin, who was helpful but we did run into some issues with him. when we were finalizing the tiles before placing the order we told him exactly what the contractor said we needed to cover the square foot and he tried to give us wrong amounts! so we left and didn't place the order because we wanted to confirm 1 more time what we needed before the order was placed and was messed up. we go back to place the order and the store was packed. we told Colin we were there waiting for him as he was with another customer finishing up. well he finishes up and then GOES TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE THAT CAME IN AFTER US. after waiting over 30minutes he finally comes over to help us. they didn't have a sample tile of one of the ones we needed, however one of their mock bathroom set ups had the tile so we really based it off that bathroom. Colin gave us a SMALLER size tile and said even though this is not the size tile you need, this is the color. I told him it looks nothing like the one in the bathroom they have set up even with holding the tile he gave us up to the bathroom tile. and he goes "its the exact color" two minutes later he goes "its the closest color"... well which is it then? We place the order and the day we were expecting the order to come, they gave us a time slot of 1pm-2pm. they did not show in that time frame so I contacted them to see where the order was just so I knew when it was coming. Colin goes "yeah they're in traffic"... wouldn't you think to, I don't know CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS and let them know the delivery is running late? I waited ANOTHER hour and they still did not show up. I had to tell them to cancel the delivery for today and come another day because of other obligations. needless to say we will work with them again however maybe we will try a different salesman. read more

Bought tile for my kitchen and bathroom at this store. Mike was a great help with suggestions, square footage and grout. This is the only tile store that I know that will take any left over supplies without a restocking fee. This made it much easier to finish our projects and return left over product instead of being short tiles at the end. read more

My spouse and I came to the tile shop to get tile for our kitchen floor. We went to several other tile stores and weren't impressed until we came here. We were immediately greeted by Chris who worked there and he helped us find the perfect tile for our kitchen. We wanted a specific tile that had character and the one we wanted was not in stock, but Amir who is the manager made sure we got the tile we wanted. He arranged to have us pick up the tile at a different store, and even called ahead to make sure it was ready by the time we got there. He also told us about everything we needed to complete this kitchen floor due to us doing it ourselves and the floor came out amazing thanks to Amir and Chris. We will definitely be coming back here for our backsplash and any other tile we need. read more

This owner also owns the new one in Livingston NJ. The new Livingston store has THE WORST, WORST, WORST salespeople there. I worked with the Manager Blake who couldn't have been any ruder and make my daughter and I feel like we were doing him a favor by shopping there. Literally was looking at his watch the entire time and didn't even smile or act courteous at all. All he did was try to push us to make decision and even before we did, was already pushing grout and other things are us BEFORE we even decided on the tile. If he's indicative of how they run their business, this location will be closed in less than a year. I'm already telling friends of mine to NOT go there. Just use them to price out and then go to Standard or Newark tile to buy from them. If they get rid of Blake, I would consider buying there. I hope the owner reads this but for now, don't shop there. read more
