Be very very careful when dealing with this service..They will not honor their 45 day warranty for an agreed service rendered. I gave them a tower and monitor. The problem I was having.......monitor every so often went blank. I did not know why. They gave me approx repair price with a 45 day warranty . When I picked it up it was supposedly 100% in working condition. I paid them approx. $350 and returned home.. the monitor not working. I asked for repairs to be made in accordance with warranty. I was told it all was working prior to my pickup. Therefore, no warranty. For an additional $150 they would come to my house and "check the environment " in which the unit was being used !? At this point I had enough of their words of wisdom and took the monitor to Ross computer service in Seneca. (Well known and established) they sold me a new monitor and all is well......... Thank you Tech Shack!! I am traveling--I broke my Samsung phone screen and called Tech Shack to see about a repair. Michael was extremely professional--- listened to the problem and assessed the cost over the phone. HE recommended that I probably shouldn't repair as the cost of fixing the broken screen was just $150 less than a new one. He mentioned they had to charge more as they are not authorized Samsung repair service AND he gave me the name of one in town. He also shared that they would probably be a bit cheaper- since they would probably have the part in stock. I am inpressed at Tech Shack's competence and ethical behavior. If you are looking to Tech Shack for any type of repair, I highly recommend you proceed with caution. One thing that you NEED to be aware of when asking them to repair anything is that it will likely void the warranty of that product. For example, if you want to replace an iPhone 6 or 6s battery, once they open that phone, you can no longer take it to an authorized Apple Store for any type of repair. The Apple affiliates will simply open your phone, notice it's been messed with, and hand you back all the pieces and say "Here ya go. Nothing we can do". So be aware of that. In terms of the store itself and it's service, it was disappointing to say the least. The place is a mess of equipment, has no evident organization of their products, and seems very unprofessional from the minute you walk in. I had my iPhone battery replaced by them and now, when my phone gets to about 32%, it becomes glitchy, laggy, and completely useless. I called them when this happened and asked for a replacement under the warranty they promised, and they said they would contact me when they had more batteries in because they were out. So after waiting two weeks for them to call me (they said they would have a shipment in within the next week), I called them again and asked if they had any batteries available and they said they did. So even though they had some in stock, they refused to notify me and still haven't to this day (roughly 4 weeks after). After talking with a more prestigious company in regards to cellular service, the manager told me that he strongly would've advised me to not let anybody who is not an authorized branch of the phone's brand to tamper with my phone. Therefore, from personal experience as well as professional opinion, I highly recommend you look for a more prestigious and authorized company to do your repairing for you. read more

The worst. Didn't diagnose the problem and still had to pay $70. Also they lost my charger and when I came back they gave me a random one that clearly wasn't mine and it was used and sticky. DO NOT GO HERE. Would give zero stars but that's not possible. read more

WOULD NOT recommend for phone repair. If I had known the poor quality of their screens I would have rather kept my original cracked screen. After a week of getting a screen from them the touch was already messing up, dropped it once and the entire screen quite working. I then had to go back to them and buy another screen half off. I would not have bought from them again if I didn't need a phone that day. Immediately the color quality of this phone was very poor, the screen crack and pop out at the slightest drop and my phone has had problems like now like never before. Not to mention the owner claims that the phones have a less than 3% fail rate while right after he said that an employee got a brand new screen to put on my phone that already didn't even work straight out of the case. Also the employee put some kind of screen protector on my phone without me knowing that has not protected the screen from cracking at all, just to add. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Terrible customer service. Impossible to get someone on the phone to find out the progress of my laptop repair, but maybe that's because even after having my computer for two weeks no one had even started looking at it. No repairs were ever made, they only disassembled my computer and left it there. So, obviously after the third week of holding my computer with no repairs, I request them to give me back my computer. It takes me another 3 visits to finally get my broken computer back from them. If I could give 0 stars, I would. read more
