Her knowledge of tea, its origins, and the stories behind each variety was truly second to none. What makes this place special is not just the tea itself, but the journey they take you on. Michelle shared beautiful insights about the traditions and cultures behind the teas, making the experience feel authentic and meaningful. The space itself is stunning, thoughtfully decorated with authentic pieces that transport you into the world of tea culture. Every detail adds to the atmosphere and makes the visit feel special. If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience in Houston, The Path of Tea is absolutely the place to go. A true gem for tea lovers and anyone who appreciates culture, quality, and great storytelling.

Path of Tea is one of the longest running purveyors of artisanal organic and herbal tea in Houston…read more I have known of this tea spot's existence for years and frequently pass by while driving along West Alabama. To be perfectly honest, I am really more of a Tea Sip kind of person and still lament the closure of that Heights institution. For me, 19th Street isn't the same without it. Path of Tea is a totally different kind of operation, however. As for ambience, although I did enjoy looking at some of the decor (hanging fixtures, wall art, etc.), the overall design of the interior felt a bit dated and I would classify the lighting as dim. When we walked in, the guy who works the counter was actually seated and seemed to blend in with the clientele. So, initially, it wasn't clear who's minding the store, so to speak. I thought the guy's communication was on the dry side, but was really more interested in the offerings to focus much on that. The tea I ordered was just OK (peach and apricot blend, as I recall). My guest enjoyed their tea and cookie, but for myself, my heart is still with Tea Sip and it will probably take a long time for me to find a shop of that caliber. Parking, as I recall, was fairly easy as it is towards the end of a strip center. Overall, I would rate this business a 3/5.

Located in the lobby of the St. Regis hotel. It looks like an old fashioned lounge and had many sofas with tables and regular tables scattered around. Everything is spaced out and social distancing is possible. For $60/person, you have a great selection of sandwiches as well as desserts and unlimited tea. There is a harpist who plays music in the background which adds to the relaxing ambiance. There were two tea options: a cherry blossom green tea with sandwiches and a five blend black tea with dessert. The Sandwhich were a combination of meat (salmon, chicken salad and beef) and vegetarian (cheese and cucumber). The dessert includes scone with clotted cream, fruit tart and cheesecake. The staff was constantly coming around and filling your cup and were very accommodating. Overall, it was a great experience! This is a great group (4-6 people) or couples date.

I called ahead and was reassured that we would still be able to get our experience. However, we were informed that last call was 5:30pm. We arrive around 4:50 and had to wait 5-7 minutes to be seated since our tables weren't ready. I used that time as an opportunity to take in the decor. It is a beautiful space and matched my theme perfectly. It was also louder and more tightly packed than I expected. The scones and sandwiches were cute and delicious. I loved that the scones were fresh and hot upon arrival. The tea was really good. I believe I got the Little Hen (lemon and mint). I'll definitely return and try out the brunch.

We initially ordered Churrasco split eggs and the Rose pancakes. Food came out on time and staff was very attentive however, the eggs had a hair in them. Was taken back to the kitchen immediately, and we changed our order to the plain churrasco after seeing the meat portion on the eggs be probably eight measly pieces for $26. Rose pancakes were consistent and delicious! Overall, a cute splurge in the river Oak shopping area, which does have free garage parking, with a couple stand-out menu items. Ambiance driven experience over food quality.
