With 100 people, it was hot. I tried to cool the space by propping the door. Communication with the owner was seamless and mostly via email, and the venue was set up exactly as requested. The suite was perfect it was decorated nicely and spacious. The on suite bathroom was convenient for both the kitchen staff and those using the suite. Parking lot only has 25 spots. There is street parking available, but don't park in front of the houses. The homeowners will complain. The church next door is open for parking as well. Outside of cooling issues and parking and location, it was the perfect space to host a baby shower.

They host an array of events and activities (some are free, while others are ticketed). Events and activities include live music, DJs, yoga, Zumba, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderlawn during Christmas and Lunar New Year. There are seven gardens which take up about an acre. There's signs throughout the lawn that explain the different gardens and various spaces. Sky Farm is operated by Blackwood Educational Land Institute and they focus on regenerative agriculture and cultivation of food. The Outpost can be rented for events. Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! They have quite a few covered/shaded areas and there's vendors throughout if you need water or a beverage. There's lots of seating too (both covered and uncovered). A visit to Post Houston isn't complete without making the trek up to Skylawn! The views alone are worth it!

Living Downtown comes with unique advantages and occasional inconveniences. If someone can't tolerate city life, they may be happier living in the suburb provinces. Thumbs Down: Access to the rooftop is sometimes restricted during seasonal events and special art installations. I understand the need for ticketed events, but I wish general access to the public spaces could remain available whenever practical. Thumbs Down: I am able-bodied, but I couldn't help noticing that rooftop access appears difficult for visitors who use wheelchairs or have mobility impairments. The elevators are not easy to locate, and several were out of service during my many visits. Improving accessibility would make this space more welcoming for everyone.

Whether it was deciding on and purchasing the food, beverages, flatware, and even arranging for a required security guard, they were there to help. Everyone was so friendly and courteous to work with. This lifted a heavy burden off our family's shoulders. When the day of the event came we could not believe how beautiful the hall looked. It was a perfect representation of everything my sister loved. The event went off wonderfully and served as a beautiful celebration of her life. The La Gala Banquet Hall was the perfect venue and my entire family are deeply thankful to Ruben and his staff for their commitment to making the event as special as it was. They clearly have a passion and commitment for what they do and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to plan a special event in the future.
