Upon queuing I was so sure we wouldn't get a seat, but the friendly waiter instead asked if we want to sit outside, of course we said yes, that's the best seat in the house! With beautiful view overlooking the Lambloch vineyard on a beautiful day, I knew this is a start of something good. The menu was extensive. Choosing over their huge selections of delectable desserts was not a walk in the park. I wanted to try their soufflé but they run out, so I had the Portuguese Traditional Chocolate Mousse instead. The portion was generous. The mousse was soft and creamy, moorish without being too sweet which I prefer. We also had the Medley Tasting Plate. It's a plate with selections of Ferrero Rocher Gateau, Mini Lemon Curd meringue in a sweet pastry, Strawberry mousse & mixed berry compote topped with Strawberry, Black Forest scheibe topped with amorello cherry and a caramelised nut triangle tart. Perfect for someone like me who can't decide on one dessert. I have them paired with a glass of Lambloch Vineyard Diva Sparkling Wine. Heavenly! The kids had the Kids Chocolate Dipping Plate, which my kids were so excited about, because they get to dip strawberries, poco loco, marshmallows, snakes, Jelly Babies, honeycomb and banana lollies into Sabor's chocolate pod. It was priceless seeing the smile on the kids face and how much fun they had. So, I sit back with my Sparkling in one hand, breeze softly blow through my hair, taking everything in, the beautiful view, the precious time spent with family and for a moment time stood still. It was a beautiful way to end a trip to the Hunter.

The table is set simply with fake flowers and fake vines overhang above giving the atmosphere of a garden escape. I myself had the buckwheat pancakes, which came out presented lovely. They were soft and fluffy and full of flavour, with fresh fruit, a fresh cranberry ricotta and maple syrup on the side. I had a coffee also, which was smooth, creamy and had lots of aroma! Very satisfied with my meal. My friend had the King Crab Benedict and thought it was a really innovative and yummy dish. The presentation was gorgeous again and the serving was generous. Eggs were cooked perfectly, hollandaise was really great and the crab was fresh. The only thing that didn't quite go was the brioche bread. She also had the super smoothie which was just as yummy! The staff were friendly, quick and efficient! Great place for a nice and swift breakfast or brunch on a weekend!

Friendly and eager service to start, which was great, but I wish the food had kept up the happy energy. In a nutshell, food is very, very pricey for what it is. I mean I get it, it's to cover the quality of ingredients used, Chatswood location, on top of that - Chatswood CHASE location which is bound to raise the cost of anything. But now knowing what's on offer, I'll be hesitant to pay that fee. To start off with the watermelon juice was $9. We were aware it was just a plain watermelon juice but it came out in an average sized cup, and honestly does not warrant that price. It was just a sign for things to come. I got the salmon nicoise salad which comes with a Jap style potato salad. $24 - not cheap. And not filling either. Yes, the ingredients were fresh and the olives were pretty good even though I usually can't stand olives. But it was the tiniest dish. The salmon was tasty but it too was so small. Potato salad also came with an unpleasant surprise of what looked to be over crispy bacon. Just overall not thrilled with this choice. The teriyaki tofu and chicken burger was quite salty, with teriyaki and mustard? It was a burger which required a lot of concentration to notice anything really, as the teriyaki was so strong and overpowered everything. Accompanying salad was quite lovely though. The menu has hints of Japanese throughout and changes seasonally? Actually not sure but it does update every so often so perhaps better luck next time? For now I'm just lingering on the fact that I left sad and hungry and had to have an early 5pm dinner to compensate.

The scones are stale and warmed in the microwave prior to being served 2. The little pats of cream were meager in size and had a slight crust on them 3. The scones were large, dry, and heavy. If you added a few sultanas you could have called them rock cakes 4. The rose scone with rose petal jelly was a huge disappointment Initially the appearance of the scone was wow. Topped with Persian fairy floss was show stopping. That is where it ended. The scone was super dry the rose petal jelly was nearly non existent. The server had to show us on the scone where it was. See photo attached 5. The service was so SLOW. That was the least of the problems 6. To expensive for what was served. The wilting cucumber in the sandwich was so so sad When I pointed the issues out to the manager she was very professional and refunded the rose petal scone. All I can say if your business is afternoon tea at a high price the scones need to be good Light and fluffy is what a scone is meant to be

Of course, many varieties of tea and also mixed tea drinks. I got the ginger, pear and lime tonic, which was professed to keep your immune system running, but it was sweetened with way too much agave syrup that I couldn't have more than 1 sip! The Tea Salon is pricey for a stand within a shopping centre. There are no walls to separate it from the shopping centre. I would try out other high tea places before returning here.

All are incredibly made with multi-layers and presented beautifully. Tea selection Each person can select either a green or black tea with different infusions. I tried the Irish whiskey cream - a very floral, assam blend with a flamboyant fragrance of whisky and cocoa. Undoubtedly a complex tea that commands a moment of silent contemplation to savor its flower garden aromas and flavors.
