We came here to do the "normal high tea" with friends visiting from out of town. It's 22.95 Euros per person for normal high tea. It's 24.95 Euros per person if you wanted to do the vegan or gluten free high tea option. There's a 2.5 hours limit for the high tea and it was plenty of time to eat and chat with friends. You'll get unlimited hot water refills. For the normal high tea, each platter will have five different loose leaf tea containers, two types of salads, breads, bread spreads (e.g. jam, herb, and hummus), two types of yogurt, red velvet cake, banana bread, brownies, and energy balls. I enjoyed a lot of the foods. I really like the fresh bread and their spreads, the salads, banana cake, and red velvet cake. I thought that the yogurt was a bit tart and the brownie was very sweet. Overall, I would comeback again one day. It's a great place to come do some work and enjoy baked goods or a healthy lunch. read more

Loose leaf tea heaven: Nice concept of endless choice of loose leaf tea, ranging from white to green and black tea. Also the choice in detox and healthy teas. Good local roasted coffee too! They even have homemade tea sodas and iced teas. The Lemongrass ginger iced tea is super refreshing. Good selection of breakfast: Yum yogurts and sandwiches. Tried the goat cheese mango chutney and Mediterranean before. Mr. brownie would be my fave of the yogurts. Healthy options include vegan little cakes, sweet potato salad and cold pressed juices. Went for a high tea on my birthday. We were four people and got served more than enough sweet and savory bites. We got sandwiches with hummus and grilled veggies, different cakes and delicious banana bread. The service could have been a bit better, they never asked to refill our water for tea or to bring extra tea flavors so we had to ask for those ourselves. Overall great experience! read more

On a Wednesday afternoon, I walked into the Tea Lab and all was well. On a more serious note: the tea selection is pretty good (coffee also available), the pastries that are served here are tasty and the staff is friendly. There's a lot of spaces to sit, from the window to the wall, from wooden chairs to lounge chairs to couches. There's an upstairs are where you can sit and there's free wifi available. The atmosphere is nice to work in or just to spend time with friends. The place is located very close to the Koopgoot (Beurstraverse), so it's a nice place to take a break from shopping as well. read more

So many teas!!! As you may have expected by the name. All are nicely arranged on the menu, sorted by green, black and fruity. There are also freshly squeezed juices and for energizing smoothies. You can't go wrong with the food. The portion sizes seem to be a bit small but that leaves you extra room for good desert. We tried the homemade brownies and blueberry pie, both were excellent. The place has a really cozy, retro vibe with a feel at home style seating and jar glasses. Upstairs there is a comfy corner seat right by the window and the amount of light is just perfect for the place. The staff is very pleasant, but you have to order at the bar and if in doubt of anything you can refer to the big wall by the stair case where you can find helpful tips about the place. The tea here is pretty good, with a large selection, and there's good free wifi. It's usually a nice place to sit and chat or work. We've always had great service here, but just today had a bad experience for the first time. The server was disrespectful throughout, and it seemed like she wanted to leave early and was trying to discourage customers from coming in. We happened to arrive exactly an hour before closing, and were the only ones at the counter. We waited about 15 min. without being acknowledged, and then they didn't have the first three teas we asked for (like a chai latte). Neither thing was a big deal, except that it seemed like she was just saying that, even though no one else had come in after us. Then when she brought our drinks, the only thing she said was "We close at seven", then walked away. That was a bit abrasive, given that we'd been waiting patiently for almost half an hour, that it was still more than 30 min. away, and we were only having tea. So I wouldn't go back any time soon, just to avoid the negative atmosphere. But usually we've had good experiences there, so hopefully it was just a fluke. read more
