Why wear things that don't fit well, you're keeping for that one time when..., or are not classics and are actually dated? When I met her for shopping, I made some quick judgements about some of the items she picked out, thinking, "I'll never wear that." But much to my surprise, those items looked great. Margo nicely pushed me out of my comfort zone/rut of wearing the same colors (hello navy and black!) or buying 3 of one item. She also taught me why some things were unflattering and how to pick things that would be, how to know which jeans would fit best, and how to accessorize. Everything was in my price range and each time we met, almost everything she picked out were items I bought. Margo is so worth your time and money!

It was time and money well spent. I went from wearing about 20% of my clothing 100% of the time (and not feeling so great in it) to 100% of my clothing 100% of the time, and feeling much more confident about how i was presenting myself. Margo was really fun to work with, and although I wasn't sure how it would be shopping with a stylist, it felt like shopping with a girlfriend who was honest, helpful, and fun to be around. I was on a budget and didn't purchase everything that we found, but she did help me find plenty of great pieces and I got an idea of what sorts of brands and styles were a good fit for me. We met three times over the course of a month or two - once for the closet audit, once for the shopping trip, and once for her to put together some outfits with what we bought (she encouraged me to take photos of the outfits, and it's been a lifesaver). She was in touch via email between and after these sessions, checking on how things were going, sending helpful links, answering my silly questions, etc. Oh, and do you get those annoying little holes in the belly area of your thin shirts? Let me chime in with yet another (well deserved) five star review for Fern Date and Ladan. My…read morethoughts are similar to many others here - frustration with the online dating process, love-hate relationship with the apps, not finding quality men, and having a bit of occasional writers block when I did actually connect with someone. So when I decide I am actually going to do something, I tend to move quickly. I setup a phone consult (right from the Yelp app) and talked to Ladan the very next day. We then had a face to face meeting three days later, and another within the next week. She was able to setup a photo shoot for the very next day to supplement some of my existing photos with additional casual photos (shout out to photographer @emilyjoangreene - she was awesome too!). And voila - we went live 24 hours later. Fast forward to 8 days later (today) and I have already received more "likes" than I had in all my previous online dating adventures. Three upcoming dates confirmed, and this is FUN, not frustrating anymore. Daron helped me select my clothing and gave me ideas about putting together colors. The store carries Habitat, one of my favorite brands, but she found for me other brands I like just as well.
