We booked two appointments at the same time. While in the waiting room, our two masseuses came out to get us. We asked if we could be in the same room. We didn't know there would be a Suprise Upcharge. Yes, we have had couples massages many times over the years. But we got charged a good deal more even though there was nothing special about this. Also, my masseuse was really just rubbing me. She said let me know if you want me to dig deeper. I said yes. After all, I went for a massage, not a rubbing. There was an another Surprise Upcharge! They never mentioned any upcharges at any time. So, we wound up spending $50 more. This is a very sneaky way to do business and we won't be going back.

I had an 80 minute facial appt and it was fantastic. I can be picky when it comes to getting a spa…read moretreatment so I checked the place out a few days earlier. They have an awesome relaxation area. I went for my appt, they brought me to changing area and then off I went to the relaxation area prior to my facial. When it was my appt time, a woman popped her head in and called my name. I was brought to a private, dark and quiet hallway so already I was impressed. They had warm tables and pillows for under your knees for comfort. The facial was amazing and she also did my hands and put them in warming gloves and then did my feet too. This is all just part of the facial. After my appt I was brought back to the relaxation room where I was offered champagne and other options but it was my bday so I went for the champagne. I probably stayed in the room for 40 minutes. The woman who worked in the relaxation room and other areas was so nice I ended up tipping her as well as my facialist. I will definitely go back and try to get a later appt vs 9am so I can go to Brownwood for a nice lunch!!

I was so eager to find a new esthetician, as I just moved here. It's a cute place, nice staff, but…read morethe facial was o.k. at best. Very basic...clean, exfoliate, mask, arm massage. The towels weren't warm, the esthetician did not even look at my skin or ask what I was currently using, or, if I was on medications. (careless) Didn't offer suggestions as to what I could do to improve my skin and didn't even suggest using SPF. I've been getting incredible facials every month for years, and I'm a licensed Esthetician myself. I was very disappointed and cannot recommend Renew Day Spa.

When booking, I disclosed that I would be using a gift certificate purchased and paid in full in 2015 and was explicitly told that their policy is that gift certificates never expire. Upon arrival, staff claimed the certificate was "too old," blamed system changes, questioned me about my daughter who gifted it, and delayed my scheduled service. After the service, the gift certificate was refused, referred to as a "coupon," and discussed loudly in front of other customers. Instead, we were offered only a 20% discount as a substitute, forcing us to pay again for a service that had already been paid for. I was a long-time customer but will not return due to the lack of professionalism and failure to honor their stated policy.

I'll just do them myself at home and they'll last over two weeks.
