Was just there over the weekend for our second visit and boy did we have a blast this go around as well! The owner Johnny is outstanding at what he does, which includes controlling chaos for multiple parties at once. Unfortunately we happened to visit at the same time as a birthday part full of uncontrolled kiddos that made is frustrating for us to have the time to play as well. Not the owners fault one bit - this is not a babysitting service, this is a business of fun. Watching the parents sit idly by on the 'sidelines' while our party played actively with their kiddos was frustrating as well. I took 6-8 year olds for open play and they were able to have a blast with kids who were older than them while the older ones were also having a ton of fun. We held our son's birthday here after a prior great experience..... however this was not in anyway the same. Upon arrival, we were hastily greeted by a man and woman. As soon as the kids started to arrive the man working immediately speaking to the children in an aggressive manner. He seemed to not want to be there or have to deal with them. He was snapping at the kids, calling them out if they were struggling to listen, they were excited it's a party (they were 5-12). For the first hour he got on his bullhorn to aggressively holler at them. Not once did he say please, did not use any kind of kindness, and asked them repeatedly if they wanted to play because they were wasting their time. This was my kids birthday with 10 very kind kids. Yes they were excited but they were polite, raised their hands to speak, and were overall being great kids. I'm a teacher, I have no problem stepping in when kids are behaving badly. They were being very good! Finally, as I was standing with the other parents who I had just met that day (not the best experience for a first time meeting of parents we will be with for the rest of their schooling) he yelled through the bull horn at the youngest who was less than three feet from him.... Calling him by name "do you want to play? Stop" the kid was looking over the shoulder bc a group of walk in came in and were being loud. A few of the kids were neurodivergent and I'm telling you they were At that point I went to the woman who was working. I told her that it was unacceptable that he speak this way. The man came over asking if something was wrong. I explained exactly what the issue was and he wanted to argue. I told him there was no point to argue. He was being rude and aggressive towards the children.... I shared I was dissatisfied that I paid hundreds of dollars for a KIDS BIRTHDAY and my guests were being treated this way. He kept trying to reengage me asking what I expected. I told him what I expected. I expected a fun kids party where the kids were treated with kindness and respect, and his response, "I'm not changing". At this point he looked at my husband who was standing next to me. I looked at this man and said, "why are you looking at him, he isn't going to take your side, you are dealing with me". He tried to defend himself, I told him there was no point continuing, we needed to agree to disagree. The woman took over taking the bull burn and games continued, kids were amazing the only change no one was yelling or talking down to the kids....no yelling. This man tried again, and said, "what do you want from me". I did not engage and walked back to our guests. They thanked me, and asked if I was ok. He did not speak to me again. At the end of the party the woman told me that, "they were working on things". This leads me to believe this is not the first time. She tried defending him, she apologized but it was too little too late. We paid the full price, we cleaned up, and she stated she hoped we gave them another chance. I told her that we absolutely would not. My husband later told me that male employee apologized to him, but actively ignored me the rest of the party. I am writing this because if there is a family out there that is saving up for their kids party, and is looking on how to spend their hard earned money in this economy, I would not want them to be in the position of feeling so saddened by an experience such as this. read more

We've booked a few parties here over the years and always had a great time. The staff does a great job of moving the games along so the action doesn't stop and people get to have a lot of fun. The area they have for setting up with outside food is large enough to serve 12 people pretty easily and 2 hours seems to be enough to wear most of the kids out. Well we just had my son's 6th birthday party here today. Since you have to be 6 to play he had been anxiously awaiting! This place was awesome. It is set up like paint ball but you get to use Nerf guns. They had so many different types of guns to pick from. We had a ref controlling the games. Everyone had a blast. When I called to inquire information for parties all my questions were answered quickly. I was also sent an email in regards to payment, times, rules and guidelines. Party was for 2 hours. Which meant we got a room to ourselves for 2 whole hours! I was allowed to come 15 minutes early to set up... Made it about 5 minutes early :) running around trying to finish up so morning.. Jonny greated us with a warm welcome, was extremely helpful and was super nice. They were very clear on the rules in all 3 emails I received for the party. All in all. We had a blast. Sooo, if you haven't ducked, dived and stop-and-go'ed alot, recently, your leg frontal thigh muscles _might_ be rather sore for the next 2 days from playing here... of course, at the time, I was totally oblivious to it because of the awesome adrenaline action going on! Thanks to the Yelp Geeks Out Event here on Wednesday, I had an amazingly sweaty time! =D The Setup: -2 separate starting zones separated by a large wall, a decent opening and a door opening. One zone has more barrels and sandbags, the other has more select city and army objects. The wood floor side area is all operations and the "prison". The Games: -There are different games. I preferred the standard Versus Mode: shoot any opponents! Duck, dive, run (safely!), hide and shoot! You had a good variety of guns and glasses (you can wear your own glasses or look for the clear goggles that can fit over your glasses if you don't want to risk them getting hit) to choose from. The Staff: -Johnny did a great job as hosting our large Adult soiree. Instructions could've been a bit more clear and thorough but perhaps that's what happens when you're not close enough. The Down Low: -Weapon reliability was about 8/10. Sometimes the darts shot poorly. Either it was because part of the dart shell was cracked (air escapes) or some launch energy was lost somehow in the trigger. Better A/C/Ventilation adjustment over time; it got hot for most of us (lots of sweaty heads). If you have kids, prepare for potential whiners/rowdy kids. If you have adults, prepare for potential tipsy activity around you. The Fun Factor: -...uh, high---DUH! Suggestions: -It would probably require some coordination and more rules but a glow-in-the-dark game of sorts would be amazing - can you imagine glowing darts flying around!? Ohhhh yeeeah. This place is absolutely awesome! I found this on Yelp, being from Olympia I had never heard of it. My son and his 6 friends love anything nerf so we decided to drive up and make a day out of it. I called and spoke to the owner, who was very nice. Love his laid back manner. He was really good with the kids and spoke with them at their level. We paid 17.00 for two hours, which was great value for entertainment and excercise! The boys got sweaty! The place is set up very cool for the kids, bunkers and cans to hide behind, a jeep, and blow up paintball standups/cover. The place was clean and safe. The supervisors kept the kids in line and reminded them at all times to keep eye gear on. The kids did say that they wished that the lady supervisor wasnt yelling at them so much. They said she was kind of mean but they liked the other two guys. I did think she was a bit abrupt/rude at times with them but hey, she was ensuring the game was being played safely and moving along and there were a bunch of kids to look out for. They had several different games they rotated through. We were the first group there but more kids came in as the afternoon went on. At one time it seemed pretty hectic but the boys still loved it. They have asked to come back again over Christmas break. One tip, dont go there thinking you will get to play with a bunch of different Nerf guns or try them all out. They give you a primary and secondary but that is about it. I saw some kids ask to try a different gun and sometimes the employee would say yes and sometimes they would say no. T here didnt seem to be any rhyme or reason at all at who got to trade guns in. Maybe they have a method to their madness but I watched and couldnt figure it out. Get ready to sweat... I was recommended this place by my mother in law since my son is obsessed with Nerf battles in the neighborhood. It didn't disappoint, my son was having a blast and I got tired of watching from the side line and had to join in the festivities. It is set in a huge warehouse with lots of barricades to hide behind as Nerf bullets zoom by your ears. We played in groups of four battling until the last man was left standing from a team and than we played capture the flag. Nerf alert! This is incredible! It's like a Nerf bunker. There are easily 200 Nerf guns to play with here. Great for young kids, teenaged kids and even adults, The Tag Zone is pretty much my new favorite business. Ever. I walked into a nondescript warehouse-type space once I crossed the threshold I was instantly transported into an imaginative, massive space that looks just like an army bunker. There's a big restored military Jeep in the middle of the room with modified Nerf machine guns, there are sandbag walls set up so people can duck, hide and protect themselves behind them, and there is tons of room to run and play. Coming from a family that isn't a fan of real guns, I have to say that this space isn't scary. It's got a real-life videogame type vibe and it doesn't paint a morbid picture of a dangerous warzone. It's just a fun, raw space for kids to imagine and play. The guns themselves all shoot soft Nerf darts and everything is colorful and fun, just like the Nerf brand always has been. There are spaces for events, eating food, serving beverages and just relaxing as well. If you're a parent you could literally leave the kids here for a couple hours and hit up a local restaurant or bar for 21+entertainment. Last night I attended Adult Nerf Gun Wars and WOW, what an experience! Johnny, the owner, is very nice and hands on. The employees served as referees which helps because sometimes people cheat and sometimes, you legitimately don't know you got hit. They provide the guns and the goggles, which was difficult for me to see out of, but I managed just fine. My biggest pieces of advice are these: 1. Bring a water bottle. I was so sweaty and really was getting some good cardio. 2. Definitely dress in layers. When you are on the field you are active, so you get hot, but when you are on the sidelines, you can get cooler. 3. Don't be "that guy." Don't argue with the refs. Don't yell mean things at your teammates. Don't shove people down on your road to glory. Just...don't. I don't know what it is like with kids there, but Adult Nerf Gun Wars was incredible and I would DEFINITELY come again. Thanks Katy for planning the Yelp event and Johnny for hosting.
