As my daughter is 10 years old, and a meal was being provided through the tour, there were not many options that were 10 year old friendly. I approached one of the staff, Emma, and told her my dilemma. I asked if they could make some chicken nuggets and fries or something like that. Very few of the meals that we had on our tour were for a 10 year old and I wanted her to have something to enjoy. Emma said, let me check with our chef, Doug. She came back and said, "Not only will he make her chicken nuggets, but if she colors this picture well, he will make sure that she has ice cream for dessert!" Gabby was ecstatic! Not only did Chef Doug make chicken nuggets, but he made them from scratch. Not the premade ones at all. I have to say that I tried one and they had to be the best chicken nuggets that I've ever had. And she got a big bowl of vanilla ice cream for dessert! Thanks so much to the staff at Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth, especially Emma and Chef Doug. It has free parking, which is good, and as you would expect of a Hilton, is slightly higher in price than the average for the area. Inside the hotel it is quite modern and to a high standard, much unlike the dated exterior. The reception area,rooms and dining area are very nice and clean. Towels and bedding are clean, and the bathrooms are all to a high standard with complimentary personal hygiene items as standard. The staff are very polite indeed, very professional, and look the part. They are very knowledgeable about the area, such as nearby restaurants, cashpoints and petrol stations. They have information on the area to hand to residents also. The food is excellent as you would expect, with a large choice of breakfast items, from continental to traditional, and the optional evening meal has plenty of variety, with Italian, English and French foods being the standard. Certainly the steak I had there was excellent and to a high standard. Expect to pay around £20 - £25 per head depending on drinks and dessert.

At first she refused to even seat us, claiming all the tables were reserved for later in the day. Finally, she begrudgingly gave us a table while complaining this meant she would have to set it again when we were done (isn't that her job?) They didn't have what I wanted available because the Hollandaise hadn't arrived (so apparently they don't make it themselves) and also refused to serve my granddaughter a scone because that was only for lunch. When I said I had one the day before at the same time of day she implied I was lying and went back to ask the chef about it. The menu did not make it at all clear that we couldn't order a scone before 11:30 and, as I said, I had one there the day before at the same time of day. By the time we left there still wasn't a single other person in the courtyard - all the tables were still empty. It was also difficult to get a chair by the pool as it seems taken up all day with people who have memberships to the spa. All in all, I would not recommend and do not plan to go back again.
