Stopped in Sunday to check the place out and get some information. Even though I didn't have time…read moreto tan, and had not been inside any other tanning facility in the area, I was so impressed by the clean and bright atmosphere, and the young lady behind the counter, I went ahead and purchased my package (which I thought was very reasonable) at that time. They offer no appointments, which helps with the flow, and they seem to be able to get more people in to tan. I've tanned twice, and never waited longer than 5 minutes to get in, so it's hardly an inconvenience. The staff members that I have met are all young, but very professional and informative. I only tan before vacation to prevent burning, so I'm not really an expert on tanning salons, but this place will be my "go to" before I "go" anywhere.

The staff is always friendly, accommodating, & knowledgeable about services and products making recommendations and answering any questions clients may have. I have been going to Rosie (the owner) at Razorz Edge for many years now. Her salon is VERY clean,…read moreher staff always seems to be well liked by their clientele, and the prices are excellent. What you will not find at Razorz Edge is the snobby atmosphere of other salons here in BloNo (for real....this is BloNo not Park Avenue) and you won't find the hyper inflated prices for a haircut either. Razorz Edge also features several (very clean) tanning beds and nail services for the ladies or the cosmopolitan gentleman. The salon is a bit off the beaten path by you can easily access it by exiting Veterans Parkway onto South Main Street and turning right at the Dairy Queen (everyone....and I mean....EVERYONE in BloNo know where that is). If you want an appointment with Rosie you're going to wait, but besides that they seem to do a brisk walk-in business and I've never seen anyone leave dissatisfied. I'm picky about my hair and I've been coming here for years. Give it a try.

So, I got the tanning itch…read more.. The pale wasn't doing it for me nor this adorable white get-up I purchased for a fun night out, so I high-tailed it to the nearest tanning salon. Seriously, the nearest, it's a minute (less than really) walk from my apartment and on the way to/from work. They offer zillions of packages with different times and beds, but the last time I went tanning was 8 years ago, so I figured I'd start out with the 3 tans for $5 (to be used within a week of purchase) and see where a little bronzing got me... Tan #1: -basic clamshell bed- decent, though for those who are claustrophobic, I'd think twice -8 min- already tan? start here or higher. parts of your pasty body haven't seen the light of day since 2004? try this or even lower. Don't be ashamed. Shame is for burnt b*tches like moi. Tan #2: -2 steps up from the basic-less clamshelly, though still burrito-esque... -8 min- she was trying to get me to go for 12 min (maximize my money's worth, appreciated) but I burn like a disco inferno. Tan #3: -650 bed-highest level they got and, oh lord, am I in love. This bed is what I feel a tanning bed should be: flat and huge, almost bed size, with fans in the bed pointing at my face and increasing in intensity as I spend more time baking. -10 min-even though, it was only two minutes more than the others, it was plenty. Did I mention I burn? Bottom line: thinking about tanning? Try the Sun Room. Good beds, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, especially for a semi-first time gal. Tip: if you get ants in your pants when you have to sit still, bring an pod and earbuds to make the time go by faster

DO NOT let these scammers at Solar Tan freeze your account. I went in to sign up like I do every…read moreyear. I always get the next to biggest package. Last year when I cancelled I let them freeze my account instead of canceling it. They take $5 out every month. At no time did they tell me that money could only be used towards product, bc I wouldn't have done that. Lotion there is marked up like crazy, I buy it online. So the girl tells me I have like $45 worth of fees in my account. My cc got compromised in November so I got a new one and didn't think to change it with them bc I only tan 4 months of the year and hadn't been for months. They charged me $10 for the initial monthly draw that wouldn't go through bc I cancelled my card, and then monthly fees around $35 for the other two months. They refused to let me use the credits that I had on my account for it, which would have made me mad anyway to pay any fees period except the initial $10 for my card getting declined. They refused to waive anything but the $10; the only charge I would have not fought anyway. And after that was all said and done, they said they wouldn't cancel the "freeze" I let them put on my account not knowing I couldn't use for anything but products in the first place, so my account will accrue fees for the rest of time, and they got $35 or 40 from me for nothing for the freeze money. I've been their client since they first opened years ago and now can't tan anywhere bc they monopolized everything in town. So buyer beware, just cancel you account with them, never freeze
